  • Here are the Dyno results before and after the BBK Long Tube Headers and BBK Off Road X-Pipe were installed. The car made 315RWHP and 270RWTQ and it was 87 degrees and the humidity was at 38%. Before LTs and X-Pipe I made 292RWHP and 276RWTQ with only a C&L Cold Air Intake, Roush Axle Back Exhaust, and an American Muscle Bama Race 93 Tune. Both before and after dyno pulls were done at the same place.

    Here is the thing you guys don't understand ...... oh get the vs it's better ..... This car is 20 000 dollars ..... for 305 to crank so about 265 to wheel he made a very nice 50 Hp gain for a thousand ..... very good numbers you can call it slow your get starts at 30 000 you know what I can put in my "shity" v6 for 10000 $ it will smoke any v8 in reverse .... my car club president is a 2011 v6 runs a 10.6 second quarter mile .... v6 plus procharger ... And few other mods guess what still under 30000$ .... it doesn't matter if it's a v6 or a v8 or a 4 cylinder turbo .... we're mustangs all of us ...stop hating you don't like it don't watch don't comment as far as I'm concerned it's a Mustang that's all I c is a sexy Mustang doing good work !!!

    • @fitguyonline1502
      @fitguyonline1502 9 лет назад

      where did you see 50 hp? lol... kind of confused bro... it went from 292 to 315, that's 23hp difference....
      My stock 2001 ls1 ws6 was pushing out 296 to the wheels, then I just simply got a hypertech chip and a k&N filter for 350 combined and endued up getting 327... so idk why you are giving this guy credit for dropping 1,000 into a v6 and getting hardly any gains.
      Before you comment, the car has 105,000 on it, i spent 11,000 when i bought it with 92,000 3 years ago. I also had no clue about modding a car nor engine work at the time... I wish I had a nice place where I could put some headers and exhaust on... I hate paying someone hundreds of dollars to do work on an engine that, if I had the equipment I could do myself lol...
      This car does sound awesome though!! I'll give him credit on that

      yeah thats true you can make 500hp at the crank but if your drive train loss is 20% or more you've got bragging rights thats about it lol

    • @fitguyonline1502
      @fitguyonline1502 9 лет назад

      lol man, hey question though... how is he saying that he gained 50 at the crank and only 23 to the wheels...
      That would mean that since his car is pushing 300ish to the wheels it would have 600 at the crank lol...
      Simple math ratio right?
      23:50 is clost to 1:2... so 305:610 if it's the same ratio

    With this setup you can make a lot of money on the street. A lot of import car owners don't want to race the 5.0 but everyone wants to go up against a v6. This is a sleeper with one or two more mods

      he won a lot of those titles in a Mustang with stock power and just tuned suspension. I dare you to call his shop (strano performance parts), ask for Sam, and tell him you think Mustang's can corner. Sam would laugh at you harder than you've ever been laughed at or ridiculed before in your life.

      heyitschinoable haha what are you talking about fool. Please show me a faster car stock for stock than a $30,000 5.0 GT. Please. If you are talking mods anyone can mod their car to be fast numb nuts. Even Hondas so yes I stand by my statement. And if you think Mustangs can't handle corners google a car called the laguna seca boss 302... Specifically the 2012-2014 models. It rapes other cars like the M3 on the nurburgring. (face palm)

    @Dan Marshall people own V6 Mustangs for a reason. Not taking anything away from the awesome coyote which I love, but there is a cool novelty in owning a 3.7. This is the first 6 cylinder Mustang with some REAL power. And honestly, we like being able to run with 335i's, Challenger RT's, and any GT minus mods pre 2011. The insurance is much lower too. The only thing that sucks is losing that classic Mustang roar, lol. I love the V8, but Ford has truly made an awesome V6! If you don't mind sounding like a Toyota Supra, that is lol.

    The supposed arguments for buying a GT: 1.They magically cost the same as an equally equipped V6, even though Ford MSRP is $8,550 more. I guess car dealers are just really nice guys. 2.They magically get 30mpg at 80mph, even though EPA rating is 15/26mpg. 3.GT insurance costs the same as a V6, even though the rest of us are quoted $70-$120 more per month. Dudes! The GT is a GREAT car, for a lot more money. Got cash? Buy a GT. The V6 is a GOOD car. Low on cash? Buy a V6. Now, please stop the BS.

    It's a just matter of preference, that's all. Some people want the best of both worlds: A very nice looking car, with great styling, good mileage on trips and commutes, without worrying about gas money or $200 more per month in ownership costs, MUCH more power and acceleration than most bland, vanilla, 4 banger Asian commuters. The 2011+ pony delivers all of this in spades. Not one person in 8 years, ever called my 2004 Honda Civic "A beautiful car". No excuses. I bought a Mustang and I love it.

    Just picked up a 2014 mustang V6. Base model options.First mod was simply a K&N Filter, and ordered a 93 octane bama race tune. This car gets GREAT mpg when you don't have your foot in it even with the tune. As far as power it will smash on mustangs up to 2010 (it will lose if you don't have a tune as i've compared before and after). The 5.0"s are BEAST machines and i used to be a chevy guy. I raced a 5.0 mustang and took him off of the line ONLY because 5.0 wont get traction without slicks.

Couple of carbon fiber pieces, cai, tune, one piece aluminum drive shaft, cams, headers, then either super charger or pro charge and let's see the v8 people talk then as I run right past them. Ohhhh yeah while retaining good gas mileage, lower cost to own, lower insurance, and will still be less than a basic v8.... This day in age no real reason to get a v8 any more. Nice vid also! Cheers

BBK long tube headers, BBK off road pipe, Roush Axleback, BBK CAI, BBK 73mm throttle body, 4.10 ford racing gears, and tuned for these mods specifically by MPT. Gregg Lange I highly doubt a driveshaft is going to alter hp. The good thing about upgrading your driveshaft, is that it won't crap out on you when your driving like a bat out of hell. I do have a single piece aluminum on my car.

    • @croneous
      @croneous 9 лет назад +3

      Ag ik it won't add hp but it will lessen rotating mass which could effect the loss between the crank and rear wheels for every 20lbs rotating mass it almost equals to 100 lbs mass stationed weight

With my headers, 3" ORP , tune, she dynoed 309 rwhp. Which is pretty good. Stock LS1 with no mods with a manual typically dyno in the 300-305 rwhp. woo boyyy !!!! those headers make them loud. when I got my headers put in I was pissed off.. it ruined my sound and made it with a high pitch tht make it sound like those rice civic hatch with str8 pipes. and I also found out tht I had a leak in my exhaust and its vibrating on my gas tank cover. I didn't notice I had the exhaust install 8 months b4 the headers.. nice car btw..

    How much less HP do you think w/o the BBK X-Pipe, just headers and other items? I'm very tempted now. I'd be happy with 300RWHP

    I have a 2012 mustang v6 manual 6 speed right now, but I also used to have a 06 mustang v6 manual 5 speed. I did like that 06 but it was a slow car. I am not trying to insult you but I am just curious what v8 you beat with that motor... the only mods I had to my 06 were a airaid cai and a tune.

  • @skybluemarshall
    @skybluemarshall 12 лет назад

    So how much did all those mods cost? I might be wrong, but I think a super charger kit will give you everything, including a tune, for about 5K. Granted, it probably wouldn't sound nearly as nasty as this car does, because that price doesn't include any exhaust mods. But, a SC would put at least 115 more hp to the ground and I've even heard a SC can pass California emissions. Your set up was probably close to 2K after tax. One traffic stop in Cali and you'd be wrenching all that stuff off

    you know the things I like better about your mustang. even though the interior is all plastic, I like the style much more than the new stangs. Your trunk is also much much larger than mine and it feels like the tq is down low on the 4.0 where my peak doesnt hit till about 3800 rpms. anyways you got a nice car that will last a long time

    Swap this engine into a Lincoln LS and it's be a sleeper that no one would expect. This has more power than the original V8 in the Lincoln LS.

    I just bought a brand new 2013 grabber v6 and I love it for exactly what it is. A car for daily driving that is economical and fun to drive. I ordered the Airaid Cai, Roush AB and bama tuner.I'm telling ya compared to my friends 07 GT its amazing up top. Gotta love variable cam timing.Whhy didn;t you get a gt...HMMMM well say I had then you'd ask why I didn't get a gt500..? Meanwhile you're drivin away in your neon ;)

    Please explain why you think a modded 3.7 Mustang will beat or run with a stock 2005-2010 GT Mustang (305hp - 315hp), but it will not beat a stock 02 Camaro with 305hp? You said that your modded Firehawk spanks modded 3.7 Stangs (and I totally understand that). But, Tappedurassout stated, these V6 Stangs can hang with a stock LS1, which is very similar in power to those older GTs, which you mentioned and you disagreed with him. What am I missing here?

    ... i believe those are GT500 wheels, they are like $144.00 per rim, not too bad for an 18x10 ... here is a link where you can buy some from, they have a blown V6 3.7 Mustang, it went 11.80's@116mph so far, and well over 30mpg !!! My 2012 will have this blower soon ......

    @Kalladrin humm I do not think you understood my comment I have a 2011 Grabba Blue v6 with i/x/e/t and I kill v8 2010 and down all day, the "it" I was talking about was my v6. lol But yeah they really move and respond well to just simple bolts and a tune. I think I will try some road racing as the handling is spot on stock, just few things and it will be a good mutil platform car.

    You are not considering the fact that it lost 6(!!) lb-ft to the rear wheels although it gained 23 whp. & this v6 only makes 270 to the rear wheels with full bolt ons and tune ?

    Sorry, I just realized, he said his SS put down 305 RWHP stock, not 305 flywheel HP. Now I totally get your statement. The older SS Camaro out powers the older GTs and it has more torque than modded 3.7 Stangs and newer V6 Camaros. But, wait a minute, now I'm confused again. Why did his stock Camaro get 305 RWHP and your Modded Firehawk only gets 309 RWHP? I need to go read up on those early 2000s Chevys. Now I''m lost again.

    I have the F150 with the 3.7. I guess it will upset you to know that with an intake, exhuast, and custom tune, I am making roughly 350 to 360 hp and around 310 torque.

    poor v6 cant handle moving that much exhaust away from it :\ sounds mean as hell dont get me wrong...but what size long tube did you go with? cause im only puttin 1 5/8 LT on my 5.0

  • @biscuitninja
    @biscuitninja 13 лет назад

    Actually alot of the old 5.0L HCI put down 280-290ish.. but something like 320-340ft-lb... big torque.

  • @biscuitninja
    @biscuitninja 13 лет назад

    I'd put some cats in there and throw in a rear gear. After that, some lightweight wheels. Taking away weight is alot easier than adding HP. I've done both.. but one is certainly more expensive than the other.

  • @sburns015

    Sounded good before headers. Couldn't really tell after, too much distortion. Don't hate on v6 stangs little boys. This person got much enjoyment from loving and tinkering with this car and is not approaching the cost of a stock 5.0 (which would not be as much fun in the long run especially if left stock.. exhaust mod is a game changer though). Glad v6 stangs are solid fun cars FINALLY.

  • @YoungGamemasta
    @YoungGamemasta 11 лет назад

    Actually, I've been looking around, more specifically at american muscle.com, and it seems like Headers, X pipes, and exhausts would cost around 1500, lets add in a cold air intake for like 200, 1700 now. lets add in the bama tune which is 400, 2100, for a pretty nicely modded v6. sounds pretty good to me.
