The one thing I miss about these warped canons is that in New Super Mario Bros DS, The backgrounds will change indicating what world you’re about to head into, it was a really neat detail. But they don’t do that anymore in these NSMB games.

Incomprehensible how all cannon levels uses the Overworld theme (would make sense for the cannons in Worlds 1 and 6) and that none of them leads to World 7
I kind of like the ds’ version more. The backgrounds in those warp zone levels showed what worldd you were going to which was pretty cool looking. It also kept the signature music for the main levels in that version. Using the regular overworld theme is I’ll-fitting and repetitive.
It is possible to finish the game using only the cannons? Like: I use the cannon from world 1, then the one from world 5 and zero normally in world eight
