I recommend mekk knight morning star because he enables the combo if you brick. Simply link into him instead of lib if you draw armor ,pitch the armor for succession and proceed with the usual combo. Also i prefer only running 1 quest ,1 boss fight and 3 stage as far as generaider cards and 2 hoarr, 2 mardel and 1 utgarda for the bosses to minimize bricking . I also run either gizmek kaku or trias hierarchia(or both sometimes) to summon with monstrosity.
@@denglong7180 I found that i always used one at most because its once per turn and after turn two i found it only bricked my hand. Also you dont need to run more than one because of gow searchable it is(simpy add boss boss quest, return a brick, add stage and fight). Not to mention it gives your opponent a free card(which is thankfully mitigated by hoarr and can give summon another boss straight from deck). So for that i chose to run one because it would be unwise to either cut it or run multiples.
Well, I do agree that it being once per turn is detrimental to its playability... but what happens if you dont draw your stage or quest? You lose the game... wont you rather let your opponent draw a card than concede...

an important ED monster people dont pick up on with the girsu combo is barricadeborg blocker. If you play it, you can still do the combo even if you draw Armor, albeit slightly worse. If your hand is Girsu + Armor you go: Summon Girsu, send monstrosity (not necessary, but its good ash bait), summom tokens, make Linkuri, use him and Girsu for Borg, discard Armor, use Borg for Linkross, summon 2 tokens, use 1 to bring back Kuri, use Kuri + Linkross for Lib, she sets succsesion which brings back Armor and Armor searches monstrosity. Your remaining field is Lib, Armor and a token so use all 3 to make Trish. It still summons Calamities and sets up the field but it doesnt give you a free draw off of Jormungandr and your opponent gets to keep the girsu token.
Instead of bariccadeborg, you should play mekk-knight morning star. You can make it with girsu and linkuriboh, discard a world legacy card, in this case world armor, and get to search world legacy succession. By this way, you wont need to use another material to do lib since you can continue the combo.

OH MY GOD, I was waiting so long for this! I thought you might never do it since it's a repeat of an archetype, but thank you for doing so regardless! Even if you ended up using the Girsu combo build that I hate...dying to every hand trap in the known universe and being left with a near-useless vanilla isn't very good, and only Dovelgus has any interaction with him or World Armor. Loptr is a quick effect for a reason, but it also conveniently allows him to dodge at least half the hand traps in the game. Also, Nidhogg doesn't give your opponent a draw, I have no idea where you got that from, he's VERY good.
@@masterofrites2749 AND he only requires one tribute, AND is a completely unique type and attribute among the playable bosses. People get so hung up on the Girsu combo being so flashy that they end up both making their build *way* more fragile and inconsistent, as well as glossing over what the archetype is actually capable of without relying on rank 9 spam. At least MBT is smart enough to not fall victim to the latter, but more people than I'd like do.
Curious to know what your favorite build of Generaiders are, mate, if you don't mind sharing. I'm partial to including both Predaplants and Magicians' Souls engines in my GR deck for ever more ways to get the field spell and fodder for I:P plays going turn 1, but I've seen people gravitate more towards using Condemned Witch and her associated Cards too towards that effect. Also, what's your opinion on the Lv. 9 Gizmek and that Lv. 9 Light Fairy that can use Boss Stage's Tokens to SS itself + do other neat effects in GR in general? I like Nidhog myself, but I *so* wish its Effect was was worded with 'If' instead of 'When' , as that means any Card Effect Summoning will make it miss the timing on triggering its effect. Still a good card despite that, but man is it frustrating to play with in mind.... Finally, I agree with you for the most part about the Girsu aspect of the deck. It's a great way to turbo out the Rank 9s, but at the end of the day all you need for GRs to be great is their field spell, ALL the ways to get to said field spell, and plenty of ways to get their Monsters back into the deck or straight into the graveyard to make your plays. Perhaps not a Tier 1 staple anytime soon, but I honestly prefer that since it means its unlikely Konami will be out for its blood on the banlist in the near future.
Agreed, not a fan of the girsu build either. I would rather include Kujikiri Amulet, Condemned Witch, and Trias Heirarchia. Trias is great to use as material for rank 9s so it doesn't get banished when it leaves the feild. It can also turn your negated loptr/condemned witch into a level 9 if need be. Also if for some reason you have enough tokens at end phase it's a +2 and a destruction. I run 3 in my build. Condemned witch is awesome because it allows you to run essentialy 4-6 forbidden chalices which can always come in handy and then you can turn it into loptr for Generaider plays.
@@anonjohn9760 I really don't like Condemned Witch in the deck, even with how much I love Chalice; she's just way too slow, when Loptr already being limited to the Main Phase is annoying. Personally, I've found adding the Invoked engine (don't @ me, I loved it before it was cool) to be one of the best routes, and pure with general goodstuff is still super solid. Trias is only really good with Kuji-Kiri, and I've cut that card entirely because Generaiders want to stay in the deck and are far less accessible from the GY--not to mention, she's not a name for Boss Quest. I think playing any less than 2 Hela is actively hindering yourself, and I'm PRAYING that Konami prints an archetypal S/T with some type of Avarice effect. Kaku is in the same category as Blaster Cannon Core for me, they're awful for the main deck and there's zero room for them in the side deck. I side an entire going-second suite, with the only level 9-related cards being a Kaiju package with Thunder King. I don't care if the deck's tier 1 or not, but I have been extremely vocal in my belief that it'd be able to see more regional tops after ETCO. I want it to continue to get support on the level of what it's gotten so far, but ROTD has foregone any new support for the deck, and the Boss roster is "complete" now. I desperately hope that Konami doesn't think the support's finished just because of that, though, as there's so many avenues possible with backrow support alone. Plus, there's still room for another level 4 like Loptr, as he skirts the 9 realms theming a bit already. I absolutely adore the deck--the theming and artwork is just stellar, and it's a rare breed in that it's more or less a toolbox control deck, which is my exact preference that unfortunately just ends up with me never liking the majority of meta decks. People said they loved how diverse the 2019 format was, yet the only deck I liked was also the most hated for some reason. I don't care how much people were tired of Sky Striker--it's my favorite deck in the game's history, and the perfect embodiment of a toolbox control deck. I was so depressed for almost the entirety of last year because I knew that at any time, I may not have a deck to genuinely enjoy playing anymore. I'm so, SO glad that I had finally taken the plunge on Generaider, it's done so much to alleviate that depression.

Nexus ranked is absolutely alright. Until the high ranks you can face everything, which is fun, while in the high ranks you face real meta. I find that just right

Generaider doesn't even need to sit on Calamities, they're a control deck already. If you get the material for a rank 9 first turn, then great. If not, you're still great. All you need is Boss Stage and for it to resolve.

Somethings to consider: Salamangreat Almiraj in extra deck, for bad hands/negated hands. normal summon golden hair, alm, bring her back, link into Blackbeard or Phoenix or other plays. Consider these if you aren’t already: utopia/double package, white aura whale, risen dragite. Salvage I’m debating 2 or 3 Also 1-2 aqua spirit which I feel most builds are missing out on. Dangers to trigger the send effects. Personally I was thinking only 2 moth, 1 jupa but maybe I’m indexing too much in just lv 4, might be best to do the limited ones too. Idk still testing.
Here's a combo you can do with boss stage and dark world dealing that gets you into VFD on your fourth summon: Activate boss stage activate dark world dealings Summon mardel off the draw Mardel searches loptr Normal loptr Tribute for a generaid (I go Dovelgus) Overlay into VFD
thats pretty slick. i had to try out a build that uses that. it was pretty good, although the statue and forbidden quick play spell are kinda bricky so i prefer my original build. its definitely a spicy option though.
For a more defensive build, or less girsu-y build, you can use Condemned Witch, search a forbidden quickplay (chalice or in the future, forbidden drop) use stuff like duality and other defensive draw cards to get to field spell, then just use Witch to tag out for Loptr on the opponents turn, and loptr to tag into whatever you want, just to be a jerk. You're basically playing 6 loptr at that point but 3 of them search effect negation

I was wondering why you didn't run Nidhogg in the deck, it's such a good card. But then you bundled it with Frodi because it gave your opponent advantage? I'm curious as to why, since none of the card text says that it makes your opponent draw a card. It's ONLY Frodi.
I don't really think the couple of Garnets that the World Legacy engine gives are an issue, when Generaider is a deck that obligates you to run at least 6-7 Garnets at any given time. Generaider is a deck that generates (pun not intended) a ton of advantage from 1 card. Btw, fun fact, I was really hoping Sunavalons would win the poll so I could test a Generaider Sunavalon deck. A deck that pulls monsters out of your main deck like a sack combined with a deck that pulls monster out of your extra deck like a sack.
Here is a stupid idea. EldlichPaleo Paleo have a foolish for traps and all the trap cards in Eldlich trigger the Paleos. All while Paleo have an in theme book of moon for adamancipators and MST for eldlich. Also the banishing raigeki break is nice

Very late but yes Trias is pretty good for this deck since you spawn fairy monsters on the opponent's turn, allowing you to draw and destroy a card without targeting.
1. Short prints are in side sets now, not core sets. 2. Presales and hype. Theres only like 2 sellers on the market selling the card so theres little competition. And with everyone hyping the crap out of Girsu, it was gonna be inflated at the start. 3. The cards are printed. The sellers just have it ahead of the release date.

I don't really think the couple of Garnets that the World Legacy engine gives are an issue, when Generaider is a deck that obligates you to run at least 6-7 Garnets at any given time. Generaider is a deck that generates (pun not intended) a ton of advantage from 1 card.
Btw, fun fact, I was really hoping Sunavalons would win the poll so I could test a Generaider Sunavalon deck. A deck that pulls monsters out of your main deck like a sack combined with a deck that pulls monster out of your extra deck like a sack.

Is it worth considering to play 1 Trias Hierarchia in this build?
Very late but yes Trias is pretty good for this deck since you spawn fairy monsters on the opponent's turn, allowing you to draw and destroy a card without targeting.

Man the cards aren't even printed yet and Girsu is at like $95 how does that even happen? Didn't they get rid of short prints?
1. Short prints are in side sets now, not core sets.
2. Presales and hype. Theres only like 2 sellers on the market selling the card so theres little competition. And with everyone hyping the crap out of Girsu, it was gonna be inflated at the start.
3. The cards are printed. The sellers just have it ahead of the release date.
