This law is going to save lives, criminals inherently don't obey the law. So having more law abiding citizens that are armed will help keep honest people honest. As far as their fear of negligent discharges I feel that it's not nearly as likely as they're making it out to be. Just because some people are idiots or clumsy doesn't mean they shouldn't have the right to defend themselves against criminals that mean to do harm.

Keep deluding yourself. More people carry now more than ever and it has never impacted the crime rates, even mass shootings in high public areas, like schools. If Texas wants to make mass shootings more likely, they're going in the right direction. Perhaps when the state is nothing more than a Republican police state (already is now), they will successfully secede and become a 3rd world country all by itself with no federal aid and all the other Americans avoiding them. Maybe they should return Texas to Mexico.

From what I have heard, there is no One Sign that covers all. The 30.06 sign is for concealed carry by license holders, 30.07 is for open carry by license holders, and now a 30.05 sign is only for those who are carrying without a license aka constitutional Carry. To cover all, All 3 signs must be posted. 06 and 07 has certain requirements, 1" block letters, certain verbiage, etc.. I have no details how the 30.05 sign is to be configured.

Yes. Private property owners may exclude license holders from carrying concealed handguns on their property by giving the license holder effective notice as provided in Section 30.06, Texas Penal Code.
Also, private property owners may exclude license holders from carrying openly on their property by giving the license holder effective notice as provided by Section 30.07, Texas Penal Code.

Very true. But I'll argue that for the average American carrying would lead to them being more respectful and courteous to one another. That's what happened with me. Once I started carrying I instantly realized the possible ramifications of getting into a needles argument with some stranger who also may or may not be armed. But everyone is different I guess. I just think that the majority of the people who are in the mindset to gun someone down needlessly would have probably done it whether it was legal to carry or not.

Which is the real illusion? I guarantee my own safety, because the police show up 45 mins later to draw a line around your body….at least if I die, somebody’s getting a new body piercing.
