Still cant believe nick menza died while playing on stage. Now thats the definition of "dying doing what they loved"..rip nick. Long live jimmy degrasso. Awesome drummer
I fucking miss that guy man. I still have nightmares about it. Everything was going fine during the show and all of a sudden it was like his soul just vanished. I realized that day that joy and positive endeavour doesn’t always trump tragedy, and it still hurts man
just think if Dave stayed in metallica we would never would have enjoyed that growl/ voice of his. i love mustaines voice!!! seasons greetings from buffalo ny
Indeed! I’m from buffalo ny
Season greetings and rock on 🤘🏾
Yeaa buffalo represent🔥
Dave's voice is second to none. Very unique!!!
I loved Al Pitrelli in the band. He had a tough task following Marty of course but I really liked his style. This was a great lineup, and the first lineup I saw of Megadeth live
Ngl, some solos sounded better when Al played them. Symphony of destruction had a really nice touch in rude awakening
In my opinion this is their second best line up ever. Kiko is overhypped. He never really fit in Megadeth. Thrash metal really doesn't fit with technical player.
Marty was never technical. He was speed and soul.
Love that bluezy intro
The drummer was badass. Love his playing style
Perfect performance, love this dvd
I think even the blacksmith cant produce this sound of metal ... This is the epitome sound of metal in my view... The starting riff sounded exactly like that to my ears.... BIG TRAIN is off the tracks \ 💀 /......
I am so going to miss David Ellefson in Megadeth!!!
and that, folks, is called GREAT SINGING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the intro. Always thought Dave was the first playing guitar and not Al...
First time I heard it (and didn't see the video) I thought that too, but as soon as Dave's lick starts it was unmistakable to tell who is who. Especially that little lick from 0:49 to 0:57, you can identify that as a Dave melody from a mile away lmao! Pretty cool underrated Megadeth song, but to me it's the guitars for the first minute that makes it.
Careless words r lethal...Megadeth rocks...
my favorite megadeth song... have a tatto dedicated to this song.
and thats how you hold a guitar 🎸
I really love Al's performance! Really miss him in the band! And Jimmy is a monster! Same with David, he's gone again:(((
he's one of my favorites as well, i just mildly dislike his tornado of souls rendition
@@femboycyan yeah, but this Train Of Consequences solo is my favourite
@@trentthehandrocker1292 oh definitely, its also my favorite too, different enough from marty to make it unique, but not different enough that its unrecognizable
I saw Deth recently after David's departure and honestly they have never been tighter. James really steals the show, has amazing tone and he plays alot of fills that add soooo much love, it's great to see new life in Deth!!!
@@skylarlunaaphroditeparadis4991 Yeah, I love James, I welcome him back to the 'deth family with open arms and I want him to be blessed, but I was always a huge David Ellefson fan! But hey, whether it's David Ellefson or James LoMenzo, I still love Megadeth, nothing can change my opinion!
Amazing. Thanks Megadeth
Amazing riff
Al’s intro is so tasteful and badass
Why this guitar solo is so fuckin sweet?
Because nothing's more epic than watching a guitar duet at this level of play.
I've grown up listening to this rock band☝🏽
Impeccable
Greatness.
Super Heavy!Megadeth Rules!
if you ever think dave sings bad look at his fretting fingers. you do that and sing at the same time
al opening solo reminds me alot of slash expecially his movements while playing
Learn English properly.
@@jeffersonaraujoelcristiano Bruh you are really trying to correct a comment from 2012. Who the fuck used proper english during then?
@@merciful truth lol
The best 👍👍💥💥💥🔥🔥
Dem..the intro is fucking awesome.. .love it!
hermoso orgasmico
Dave voice has never been great for live shows, but well, still THE greatest Man in Thrash Metal. I must say that this line up with Pitrelli and the drummer is the best as they knew how to improvise freely on the recorded material from the studios. I haven’t watched any Megadeth line up who did that.
I think henis great for live shows, but his vocals on Rude Aweakening arent the best
Best ever
His vocals compared to the studio version
Producer Max Norman did a great job with Dave's vocal on the Youthanasia album!
the vocals are just awful - the diction, the intonation, the clarity, the tone . . . Rust and the next two = good vocals (sorta). Rust, definitely (except two songs) - I've often opined that if Mustaine - a great composer, and pretty damned good songwriter did the riffs and had a kick-ass vocalist they would have been a very, very successful band, but he frequently rejects musicians, or they prefer to leave etc . .
@@datkinson1635 they are a very very successful band dummy 😂, they sold over 50 million copies.
@@datkinson1635 They *are* a very successful band, dumbass.
He never learned to open his mouth a bit more
Yeah. Want to hear a secret mister? He's supposed to sound fucking pissed off.
Thats the problem. A singer must open his mouth to pronounce the vowels properly.
I think that was the point he was trying somthing new?
😂😂😂😂
@@kirstint9007 doubt it. he's been like that forever
good
Dave mustaine is a warhead \m/
I don’t get what happened to Dave’s voice In 2002 . Last live performance from 2000 his voice was still there . Two years later it started with the Mickey Mouse vocals :/.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂
I don't get it: They did have a set of Eb tuning instruments for that gig, but only for this one they used it, when actually many Youthanasia songs were perfomed...
Maybe this one is just more difficult to sing in E Standard than the others, see how Dave struggles in the original tuning?
muero
Hartke done its job best
I was expecting a bit more clarity in his voice. What happened???
The original song is in EB tuning and they are playing in E standard here, 7 years after the release of youthanasia
@@cicerobarbiero nah, it's clearly in Eb tuning right here, but they did play in E tuning in some times circa 2004, if I'm not mistaken
He’s in his 40s here. Now way he could sing as high as he did in 94.
Cícero B. That and he didn’t not open his mouth
@@cicerobarbiero This is clearly played in Eb here.
open mortal
I still like the nick menza & marty friedman lineup that's the best megadeth lineup with mustaine and ellefson no one can top that
lol Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland era lineup still the best
Why do the not perform the second solo live?
It’s not original. It was thrown in on the remaster
0:42 Dave plays it here instead in the end.
Why do they never play this song live??
It has been quite some time since Dave has been able to hit those high notes. Esp after the cancer battle. So he tends to avoid the songs that have a lot of higher verses. Which is most of their older stuff.
@@MGSSAB yeah it’s a shame man. Aging Plus his neck surgery. They last played this around 2005
Personally I guess the fast riff takes too much attention and energy to get right and singing suffers as less focus given there, but he seems to sing in other fast songs pretty ok , who knows
@@jojo5544 faster is easier to tempo too especially if it’s really simple power chords. The riff here is all about timing and is really hard.
Any song from youthanasia (except a tout le monde and couple more) is too hard to sing for Dave nowadays. I don't think playing and singing at the same time would be the problem for him. Even when youthanasia was released, the songs were too challenging for him to sing.
Ese intro esta delujo
The intro sounds alot like Mr. Brownstone
I hear that groove 😂
guitar and drums 8/10 - vocals negative8/10
This song and a few others are not on my dvd hmmm
I think it’s in the bonus features
@@schirmc1 it is :) thanks
LMFAO at 0:58
They can't play what Marty did back in this solo
Just search up David ellefson bass solo
They made this in 95 I believe
Al is just as good as Marty
Lol Marty is on a different level than Al. If you've researched their skills and played their stuff you can see the difference. Al is another shredder among the many others.
^I find it interesting when people pass on their opinions as facts.
It's Dave's solo on the record
al pitrelli is a legend, but it didnt work for megadeth
Al was awesome in everything he did/do, including Megadeth.
I prefer Marty, but Al is a legend.
@@torehy5912 For me this is one of the best live dvds just because of Al
agreed ! but they made every new lineup work
Marshall :)
This track needs lips harmonica.
Why is it that when Dave Mustaine is playing we get shots of the fuckin bass player and the drummer no one cares what they are doing we want to see the main man.😡
Dave voice suddenly turned into crap after 2000. He sung really well throughout the 90's, especially 1994-1999.
Vic Rattlehead He NEVER sounded "really well"
In 2004 he sounded good
@@jgvv yea not really well, used to be perfect.
@@vicrattlehead6386baaahahahahahah
DUDE!? REALLY? Slash should remember you to Al Pitrelli!
The people that gave this the Thumbs Down..Are the problem in America
Jim Morrison ✌

For the Love of God & Country Vote Tulsi Gabbard! VP! 🤟🤗
Dave mustaines voices kills this here such a bad version vocally.
How bad he sounds
The song was recorded in Eb tuning. They were playing in E standard here 7 years after Youthanasia was released
@@chefmoviestudios4550 No it was played in E flat here, because it sounds just like in the studio version
@@davidgradinaru7313 fuck you’re right!
dave does not sound god here at all, love em tho!!
Horrible singing by Dave, although Megadeth never was about singing...
in his defense this was recorded when he was starting to struggle singing the stuff he used to sing, he was 41 at this time and they still played the songs in their regular tunings. And the fact he can still sing that good along with his very tough guitar playing is pretty awesome, he started to sound much more at ease when they tuned down
Who is the second guitar in this video?
Careless words r lethal...Megadeth rocks...
