Welcome to Savannah! Often thought of as Georgia's most charming city, Savannah is a city that has been high on our list to visit for some time now! When you think of Savannah, you might think of beautiful live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, the historic River Street, and maybe even the iconic movie, Forrest Gump (since some of the most iconic scenes were filmed here). And all of those stereotypical pictures that you have in your head would be completely accurate! Needless to say, Savannah is a city that oozes southern charm, and while there’s no way that we could fit all of the highlights into a single day, we did our best to experience as much of the southern charm as possible! A most munificent friend has been taking me to Savannah for the anniversary of my birthday for a number of years now. I prefer walking and seeing the beautiful squares and sights as opposed to taking a trolley.

Happy belated birthday to Nat! I LOVE Savannah! The first time I visited, I took an Old Town Trolley just to get an overview of the city, and WOW! My guide was fantastic! She was funny, informative, kept everyone engaged and in stitches (plus she was an excellent driver). I was fortunate on my second visit to get the same driver (!) and was delighted once again (be sure to tip your driver/guide, as they do an excellent job). The food is fantastic, the parks are immaculate, the cemeteries are gorgeous, and the boutique shops are oh so inviting. Lovely, friendly city, and I´m looking forward to my next visit.

I go visit my dad in Springfield every once in a while and we go to Savannah while im there. Ive been in the Cathedral Bascilia of St. John the Baptist a couple of times and its huge inside that church!

Happy Birthday Nat!!! Savannah is my second favorite place in the U.S. Spent time there in The River Street Inn every chance I got. I lived in Florida 48 years and anytime I had to go up I-95 I saw it as a good excuse to stop in Savannah. I now live in South America and rarely go north, so I really enjoyed this and was excited to see how much Savannah has grown. Thanks for activating memories. I did not see any mention of the Bonaventure Cemetery which you must see and watch the movie "Midnight In the Garden of Evil" before going to Savannah.

I started at Disneyland about 23 years ago and now have nearly a thousand pennies from everywhere I go and about 20 of the collection books. I also look for the shiniest or pre 1984 Pennie’s to use and follow the apps and websites LOL!! Keep hunting girl 🤣

This was great! I found myself wanting to tell my coworkers about dancing in front of the two way mirror but I thought better of it, in case they go there!
1982 and earlier are the best for pressed pennies. I like to get pennies and then weigh them. I like the copper pennies that are closest to 3 grams.

I highly recommend checking out The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist at Christmas time. Absolutely amazing what they do on the inside.
I love the pressed penny! We get those everywhere we go…have the collection books and used to have the app as well!!! I miss the app. I always pack a supply of quarters and on any trip.
My parents own a historical home on Lincoln Street in Savannah, it was built in 1810 and it's haunted 👍 The second story is yellow

One of my favorite photos of our kids ever is from Forsyth Park! Those trees just make for a beautiful backdrop! Love the trolley tour and all you learned!! I didn’t realize Forrest Gump scenes were filmed there! So cool.

We’ve been planning to visit Savannah ever since my daughter’s destination wedding got cancelled 10 years ago. We were looking forward to a lovely week. Sometimes things weren’t meant to be. Thanks for the great vlog and a view of Savannah !😊

The only disappointing aspect was the Repeal 33 review. Feel free to not enjoy the food, but the atmosphere being compared to Chili's...I mean, come on. Welcome to post-Covid fine dining guys. The atmosphere, from what I could tell, was great. American Bistros is the new thing for fine dining atmospheres.
Anyway, the rest of the vlog was fun to watch...
