I get how it would be so tempting to accept free things and make easy money from sponsorships. Emily has so much integrity and her kids are so lucky to have a role model like that.
If it makes you feel a little better, both Sephora and Ulta have travel sized options of HourGlass bronzers, blush, and Ambient setting powder. Maybe even on the HG website, not sure. They might be travel sized, but there's a lot of product. I've had mine for a few years, and I've not hit pan yet.😊
@cm_mb totally agree! I have 2 different mini blushes.....have had them for 2+years and there's not even a dent. (I'm super pale, so I don't use a lot each time, but it's great value)
My boyfriend is waiting for me to get ready so we can go on a little road trip today but I turned off the shower and sat down to watch this video 😂😂 he’ll understand 🤣
I stand by my belief that once you find your perfect Hourglass palette you only need one. I bought the Elephant palette last year and I’m not even tempted by any of the new ones. I could see arguing the nuances and someone needing all of them though 😂
Thank you for so many videos this week and still do a Saturday video! We appreciate you Emily💛 Hoping you’re having a relaxing weekend with your beautiful family
I especially like how you used the lightest one under the eye area as a brightner/blur application. As a 72 year old that might help that particular area stay soft and blurred without looking grayish. Just thinking..... Love your wisdom with makeup and your skill in application. Fantastic! When I do purchase, I make sure to use one of your guys' links tho!! Love you Em and THANK YOU!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Also, this is my absolute FAVE Hourglass palette ever. Love that the bronzer isn't quite so orange - y!
I am considering purchasing this one. It would my first one. Your comment on using it as a one and done palette is appealing. I have a fair skin tone and I am wondering if that would work for me.
Thank you for reviewing the new hourglass pallet! I finally hit pan on my first hourglass pallet early this year and have been looking forward to the new one. I'm normally a drugstore make up fan, but this is one thing i will always splurge on. They are an investment but I love how soft and diffused everything looks when I use their powders. I haven't been able to get that look from anything else & I love having all the complexion steps in one pallet. PS loved fall eye week!
I wasn’t going to buy this until I saw your complexion in yesterday’s video. Decided to tune into todays to see how you accomplished that. Might need it 😂❤
So happy to see you use this palette- I splurged on this one as a birthday gift for myself. It's my first Hourglass product and I am really enjoying it! I've been using it on my eyes as well- think it''ll be a terrific travel palette for me.
These are my number 1 holiday must have purchase. I’ve been collecting them since 2017 I think and they last for years! Great video, Emily. I got this one and the evil eye (customized to water lily packaging) :) love them both!!! Occular migraine coming on so I must close my eyes and relax. Augh…. Happy birthday to Belle!!!!!! ❤❤❤
I feel the same way and have purchased my Hourglass products on Mercari. If you don't mind buying from an individual, I've found them for a third of the price. And I've been extremely impressed with everything I've bought
I just saw that it's $90!!! I was trying to justify Ulta points towards it too. I wish I could customize bc the darker palettes are in Evil Eye and Lotus Flower
I’m a few years older than you and I’ve been using Diffused Light to set under my eyes for years. I tried it once just to test it and I’ve never looked back. No creasing, no crepe-y texture.
I love the beautiful hourglass palettes, theyre too expensive to buy of course, but man are they GORGEOUS! I always love the face you come out with using them
Emily, I had an idea while watching day four of the fall eye looks but I wanted to save this comment so that you might see it on the Saturday upload. What about having people tag you or send you images that inspire them and you need to build a makeup look based off of it? Pictures of someone’s cat, you draw colors or textures from that. Pictures from nature, like a lake… you have to mimic the color and texture of the water. The green surrounding the lake. Maybe if there’s some chairs or something in a different color. Just random photos that inspire people and will hopefully inspire you like the night sky did! I feel like this idea hits your creative streak you’ve been on with color and then adds in enough variation that you’ll always have something fresh to draw from? Just an idea :)
I have gotten one for myself with GCs. It's something I use EVERY DAY as my all in one play the mirror and I feel everything is high quality, dependably and staple colors
Thanks for another great review! I haven't bought a new Hourglass holiday palette in years, they last a long time and are perfect for travel. I might just buy this one this year though!
I had not bought one of these in many, many years. I had two older ones that I still use all the time and just love. So I splurged and got two this year! Previous versions always had shades I already own so it was easy to skip. Having all new shades was a big selling point for me this year!
Great week of videos! Thank you so much for all the time & effort you put into your videos! I'm ready to get busy trying some new looks using palettes I have that include some fall shadow shades. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Emily!
I bought the Evil Eye palette but the lotus flower was calling my name - such beautiful, deep, rich tones, but alas, too dark for me. But those berry shades sure were calling my name!!
They are gorgeous palettes that's for sure, even the packaging is lux and beautiful. But really a luxury item up here in Canada. It retails for $122.00 up here, plus in my province we have a .15 sales tax , so you are actually paying $140.00 😮😅 - Have a great weekend Emily.
I was able to use a coupon code for a bit of a discount on their website and get free shipping to Canada which helped with the cost a little. Definitely not cheap but the price was $110 after tax
I got the lightest palette last year and I LOVE it. With one exception. I adore the two finishing powders but it is super difficult to get a face brush into the little squares without also dragging in highlighter/blush/bronzer. I will not buy the palette this year but will likely get individuals of the two finishing powders if they are indeed larger on their own.
Happy Saturday! I hope Belle has been enjoying her birthday weekend! Very pretty look, Emily. I enjoy the Hourglass palettes, but I'm probably going to skip because of the price point. My daughter's birthday is in a few weeks, so that's my focus right now, along with some unexpected medical and car repair bills. Life happens, lol.
These pallets are always so Beautiful. I do enjoy the lovely shades of the blush, but I always forgot I have the pallet. I would like to get another one in the lightest shade (I have the medium) that will work better for my skin. I just find them to be very pricey and can’t justify that on luxury makeup. Thank you for sharing.❤️❤️❤️
That palette is gorgeous! I want it so bad! I love having all the steps in one place. Makes so much sense and I feel like the selection of those shades specifically would get a lot of use from me.
I bought the medium but customized it with the lotus flower design. I don't wear bronzer or highlighter, but both in the palette work great as eye shadows!
I got the dragon palette on the evil eye packaging, however, I just came back from vacation and I am super tanned and this palette doesn’t work for me currently. I can’t wait to start playing with it!
I have the jellyfish palette from last year so I was annoyed that once again, the lightest palette had 2 finishing powders. I would have much preferred to have one finishing powder and then a cooler toned contour shade or a pale blush or a different toned highlight. And these finishing powders are so similar that on my fair skin tone, I see very little difference on my face. I hope next year they give all 3 palettes the same amount of color products
Hi. Jellyfish is the palette I purchased and I use it similarly to how Emily describes here. The lightest shade I use for undereyes and the slightly darker one for face.
Yay!!!🎉🎉So happy you are reviewing this palette! I purchased but haven't opened yet!!😂😂😂❤❤❤ty Emily! Love your channel- fun and different and always authentic!😊
i chose the evil eye palette with the dragon packaging. I love this palette which is for medium skin. I think this is my favorite palette to date and the one I am most likely to use often. I find that it is perfectly balanced for me. I have one bronzer, one finishing powder, one highlight and 3 blushes.
Looks like a hit!👍❤️ if I was still using powders and travelling this would be very practical- I remember the Ghost pale palette and it looks similar. I used to use that as eyeshadow too.
I bought the same pallet but had it out in the Lotus pallet and I'm very fair and works good on me. I bought the jelly fish and butterfly from previous years. Love the video God bless 🤗
so fun to see you POP BACK IN with the full look! I love to do it that way too and enjoyed this video so much and all of FALL EYE WEEK! I might try the light one, I also did the darker one last year - I tend to lean towards some of your preferences too so it's funny that we choose the same ones year after year lol and I am about 8 years older than you so I really do enjoy the blur these powders provide (I didn't get the hype when I was younger though I guess bc my skin didn't "need" the extra help lol)
I am with you Emily. I thought the same thing about using the light powder as a brightener. I do anything to brighten my face especially as the temperatures drop. Love you. Have a great fall weekend 🧡
I own singles of the ethereal light and a bronzer. It's very nice. I emptied my last Hourglass palette quickly outside the blushes that I didn't like. If you use those powders 4 or more times a week you'll finish them in 6 months outside the blushes. There truly is not so much product in those pans. Everyone - who doesn't actually use them consistently - always says they last years but they really don't. So the palettes are definitely not a good value or "steal" if anyone plans to actually use them every day and wants them to last
I love your looks! Could you do a glam mature look, perhaps on your beautiful mother? I'm 60 and I'm sure I'm not the only one here! Just to let you know, I'm going for the berry eye you did yesterday! Doing it today!
I have 2 Ambient Lighting pallets already including the Elephant one from last year, and although I love the brightening powder and the blushes in the Dragon pallette, I just can't justify the cost for a third one. If I didn't already have two, I would definitely be tempted to get this one Love the look you created!
Girrl, way to crank them out, I’ve loved all the eye videos this week! I am thinking about the light palette, maybe will be a birthday treat! I was waiting to see your review first 😘
I like to pick up these palettes (1 per year max) because they live in my purse and I use them nearly everyday. They last and last and are always flattering on my mature dry skin. I even got 10% off this time with a coupon code. I like to treat myself once a year to this as I know I will use it! I had to grab the dragon one this year because I’m a bit of a collector of both dragons and HG palettes so this was perfect. 👍🏻I love it!
I love these palettes and get them every year even though I tell myself I don’t NEED it. I ordered mine from the hourglass website directly I purchased the one you use here, the dragon, and I ordered the medium palette, but had it customized with the lotus packaging. I love them both! I had no business buying two, but they bring me joy. Thank you for another great video Em 😊 Love you too! 💗
Thank you for a wonderful week of Emily videos. I really enjoyed every day. That is a very pretty palette and the colors are so soft when applied. Great buy. Today's look turned out beautiful Emily and we love you too. Have a relaxed and peaceful weekend.🥰❤💗💕❣💜🙏🪳🌹🥀🌺🌼🌴💐
I have my first hourglass palette ever coming in the mail! I went for the evil eye actually, I’m around your skin tone. I went for it because there are 3 blushes and the finishing powder is soft light which is a best seller as well. Both are great options and it took me a while to decide between the evil eye and the dragon!
Ulta just launched these along with some gift package deals. I ordered the Dragon one and can’t wait to use it. I have Elephant and the Tiger one and really don’t need another one… but oh well. I have fair skin with strawberry blonde reddish hair and the dragon palette is perfect for me.
I have both the medium and fair bronzers for different seasons. The baked balance n Brighten foundation is amazing and I wear that in Fair. Her website has sales often.
What a beautiful palette! Waaaaaaay above my budget. Are there less expensive options you (and others) would suggest? That would be a fun video, too! Thanks for putting in so much time for us this week! 🙂❤
Yes, so many people diss the ambient lighting powders in these palettes but I always use them up! I hope they'll release the soft light and the dream light in the single compacts one day. Thank you for the review!
I had planned on skipping out on the pallet this year. Then they announced all of the new shades and the dragon motif for the lightest one app is pulling me in. Now I can’t decide. I absolutely don’t need it, but it is absolutely gorgeous.
I was feeling underwhelmed by the dragon palette in the stock photos compared to the others - but then also felt like the evil eye palette was too bright/warm for my preference. Your video is chasing my mind!!
I loved this week of eye looks. I would also love to see you do a one palette 5 different looks week. I also saw QVC is selling a Tarte all in one face box that is very similar to the IT cosmetics books they used to sell during the holidays that were always so perfect.
I love Hourglass powders. Haven't used a big variety of them but I did finish an entire Mood Light a few years ago. I have very fair skin but you've just about convinced me I could make this work. Dang, $90 though! I put it on my wish list. My birthday is coming up!
Same here.... very fair, and wondering if those blushes would be "too much" on my skin. Maybe that alone will save me from buying this! Altho, my bday is coming up, too....
I ended up getting it for a 50th birthday gift to self! I am able to use every shade. The bronzer is juuuust cool enough to work for the tiny bit of contour I do under cheekbones. It’s a touch warm for the purpose but it works. It would look weird if I tried to use it as bronzer because my skin doesn’t tan.
I have a hourglass palette (it was a special edition) a quad and I love it and use it all the time, with that being said, I think with 1 of those you’re good 👍🏻 if you don’t have it I recommend it, pick your favorite one and that’s it 👍🏻❣️ great video Em ❤
Thank you so much for this review, I have been really wondering which one would look best on me and if the light one was too light. You and I have similar skin tones so this was so helpful. Your eye makeup looks gorgeous!
Oh man, I was totally uninterested in these palettes until I watched this video and then BoB Mindset’s video. Now I’m convinced that this is the one for me! 😭
I have followed the releases of these palettes for several years. I have a few singles, mainly the minis, and the triple pan of finishing powders. Last year I finally purchased the 'jellyfish' palette because they had finally included all functions in one of these- bronzer, blush, highlight and finishing powders. I believe I am set. I would like to see some of the orangy blushes from the deepest palettes as singles, preferably mini singles. One six pan is good for me
Happy Saturday ❣️ I really enjoyed and was inspired by your videos this week!❤ How about a week of holiday make up in December? ❤ How comparable is the hourglass to Laura Geller's?
I’m so tempted to buy the new one because I love mine from last year. But it’s still got a lot of life in it. I paid for it last year with Ulta points. Can’t justify the price it.
Emily, in this horrific time of political videos taking over youtube, I am even more grateful for your videos! I have watched some three times back to back just to save my sanity! Thank you SO MUCH!

Six videos in a row got us all spoiled!! I wish they did a mini holiday palette. I want to try them but I don’t want to spend $90
Now I really want this palette. 😆😭
Same!!!
If it makes you feel a little better, both Sephora and Ulta have travel sized options of HourGlass bronzers, blush, and Ambient setting powder. Maybe even on the HG website, not sure.

I've been enjoying my dragon palette too. I appreciate that the bronzer is finally a bit more neutral as opposed to warm
Yes I found it to be noticeably less warm than others!
Yes the bronzer is so good for fair/light skin! Finally not too orange on me
I stand by my belief that once you find your perfect Hourglass palette you only need one. I bought the Elephant palette last year and I’m not even tempted by any of the new ones. I could see arguing the nuances and someone needing all of them though 😂

thank you!! It's been nice with such an eye-focused week - I could also be testing something different for the face :D

As a 72 year old that might help that particular area stay soft and blurred without looking grayish. Just thinking..... Love your wisdom with makeup and your skill in application. Fantastic!
This was great! Thanks for comparing the palettes.
Always tempted by these but cannot justify the price. I'm happy with my Laura Geller baked bronzer and french vanilla highlighter as an alternative.
Which shade do you have in the Laura geller? I love the baked formula so I am tempted to try one
I have both the medium and fair bronzers for different seasons. The baked balance n Brighten foundation is amazing and I wear that in Fair. Her website has sales often.
Happy Saturday Emily!
What a beautiful palette! Waaaaaaay above my budget. Are there less expensive options you (and others) would suggest? That would be a fun video, too! Thanks for putting in so much time for us this week! 🙂❤
Physicians formula makes a palette in their butter range
Yes, so many people diss the ambient lighting powders in these palettes but I always use them up! I hope they'll release the soft light and the dream light in the single compacts one day. Thank you for the review!
Hi Emily! . Enjoy your time with your family and celebrating Belle 🎉🎂🥳💐
Patiently waiting on mine to arrive Monday. You look beautiful, as always!
Love you Em!
Didn’t these palettes used to be around $65? I want one so bad but can’t justify the $90 price tag 😱
I don't think so. I bought the first one a few years back, and it was $80 something. Like everything else, the price has gone up, unfortunately.
One six pan is good for me
I bought the evil eye palette this yr and love it!
Great inspirational series and I do hope to see it continue in the future!.
Wow! This’s looks so good. I never ever feel like I need these but this one.. I’m obsessed.
I collected all of these, waiting for my 3 newest. Its expensive but a great investment and high quality.
Happy Saturday ❣️ I really enjoyed and was inspired by your videos this week!❤ How about a week of holiday make up in December? ❤ How comparable is the hourglass to Laura Geller's?
Totally enjoyed Fall eye week!
I’m so tempted to buy the new one because I love mine from last year. But it’s still got a lot of life in it. I paid for it last year with Ulta points. Can’t justify the price it.
Thank you for the review!
Emily, in this horrific time of political videos taking over youtube, I am even more grateful for your videos! I have watched some three times back to back just to save my sanity! Thank you SO MUCH!
Emily is very much a 'safe and sane' space on the internet in these times!
Happiest birthday, Belle! My youngest turned 9 earlier this week, where does time go 😢
I got mine this week and did an Emily like challenge and used it on my eyes too
That pallet looks amazing
Hi. I’m a light to a light medium neutral skin tone. What palette would you recommend in the hourglass face palette? Thanks❤
Had this in my cart on Sephora but then deleted it and accessed your link and added it from there 😅❤ we do what we can to support you Em 🤩
Love this Autumn 🍂 look the best & the hourglass looks amazing
Thanks for sharing see you soon ❤
