Great review as usual Jackeline! I purchased the very original Ambient Lighting Edit (I believe it was 2015) and the first time since then, I ordered a Dragon palette (in a Lotus Flower container)! I enjoyed the quality of Hourglass powder in the Original Ambient Lighting Edit so much but I never wanted any subsequent palettes. The original came with 2 finishing powder, 1 highlighter, 2 blushes and 1 bronzer. I loved the finishing powders, but not so much blush and bronzer. One blush looked kind of plummy in the pan and the other pink, but on the cheek, both looked pink. The bronzer was too red. This has been true at least to some extent until last year. Blushes are all sort of pink and bronzer tends to be too red. But this year, I think it is different, finally! The two blush colors look different enough - one is really peachy and the other plum. The bronzer looks more neutral. I don't mind having 2 finishing powders, as I use them a lot more than blushes and bronzer. Can't wait to try them on my face!

I love watching you apply powders! Such creamy skin and I can see the effects easily. So beautiful! They are crazy with the six-month shelf life. I saw a YTuber pan one of these, took her 4 years using it every day. 😅 I still have the original, trying to get more use out of it!

If it is, do you think I can get away with purchasing the Lotus if I used it with a light hand? I have fair skin with neutral to cool undertones. I don't want shades that will pull too warm/orange on me.

The Dragon highlighter is too dark on me. It leaves a cast. Very disappointed. How hard could it be to get this right when it’s for fair skin and they did it fine the last 2 years! The new finishing powder is barely light enough but too warm. Oh well, the blushes, bronzer and other finishing powder are perfect.
