Is there no way to change senior contract to designated player contract? While renewing contract, one of my player calls 607,000$for salary, so I thought it would be beneficial for salary cap if change him to designated player, i can only offer him senior contract and sms contact.(of course i have empty designated player slot)
I'm playing In MLS in fm 2012. Can't resign my best player because it says "only 3 designated players allowed" but i only have 2 at the mo. Is this a bug?
Yes because you get a 50 percent discount because he is only playing 50 percent of the season so the following year/season if you keep them they will now count as 530,000

When dealing with salary budgets I use p/w in non MLS careers and p/year in MLS careers
That’s a food way to deal with it. The MLS rules are based on p/y, but in FM it’s of course a preference thing.
