The argument about PS6 price was annoying to listen to; Jack is right to point out that the PS6 being less than 700 dollars is going to be awkward unless the Pro gets a serious price drop in the next 4 years. BG's right that it's probably not going to be 1000 dollars. Ultimately though, I can see a premium price, especially if Sony thinks adoption of the PS6 will be even slower than the PS5, what with an even longer cross gen period, and slow development timelines for everything that isn't a remaster. It's absolutely ridiculous for BG to say that the price of the PS5 Pro has nothing to do with the PS6. Absolutely nuts.
We’re talking about 2028. By then ps5 pro will be $400, ps5 will be $250 and ps5 will likely be $500 base or $550 disc. That’s all they can price it at for mass consumption.

The console power race is over. Xbox is almost out of the picture and Nintendo releases Fisher Price hardware. Why would Sony release a console with overkill specs for the PS6? They would be shooting themselves on the foot, as people will expect them to release exclusives that squeeze all that power, therefore having to spend more money and more time making such games. NVIDIA will keep releasing their 5090/6090/ETC lineup because that's their business, they don't make games. They don't give a shit if developers are taking advantage of this power. The PS6 power jump will be mild, more powerful than a PS5 Pro obviously, but nothing crazy. They'll lean more into AI than raw power. In conclusion, expecting the PS6 to be priced at $1000 is retarded, but that is to be expected with Jack.
I bet the people that claims that they can't see the difference with the PS5 Pro, are using a dogshit TV or a small monitor. Just like PC, you can hook up a 4090 to a CRT monitor and it'll look like shit. In order to experience the PS5 Pro at its fullest, you *NEED* a proper TV. Big (At least 55") and with all the bells and whistles (VRR/ALLM/HDMI2.1). I'm playing HZD Remastered and TLOU1 Remake and the difference is nuts. The image is crispier, the textures are sharper, the framerate is smooth as hell.
Even people with good TV's say there isn't a huge difference or it's barely noticeable for them. Most people with a 720p TCL or 1080p Westinghouse tv aren't the ones going out of their way to pre-order a pro. It's just not that big of a difference on most games apparently. Stellar blade and Callisto Protocol are examples of the pro making a big difference. But those aren't games that the base struggled with to my knowledge.
You shouldn’t need an expensive TV to run a $700 plus console to “see a difference “ Sony is scamming y’all got y’all out here spending money like a expensive whore😂
Let me start off by saying i never had fun or found any kind of enjoyment in overwatch. But Marvel Rivals is the most fun I've had playing a multiplayer game in a very long time. People sleeping on this game.
The overwhelming majority of issue people had with making a native PlayStation Handheld was the fact that they didn't want playstation to have to make games just for said handheld. Just because you find 7 people online being stupid and having bad takes doesn't validate you. We can all agree we would love a portable ps that plays all of our ps games. Proprietary games has always been the problem.
@Yoko.Kurama I think that help lead to the death of the vita of course, but games nowadays take anywhere from 4 to 8 years to create. They don't need to be creating a handheld game on top of what they're already creating. We would never get games.
@aship865 I don't think downscaling a console game to handheld version would take that much. And a handheld exclusive wouldn't be that demanding anyways
@Yoko.Kurama I agree, never said downscale would take that much time. I'm talking about proprietary games specifically made for a handheld. Like uncharted golden abyss.
The hate towards games that are short popped up with game pass subscribers. They started saying that games aren't worth seventy dollars. If it's only ten to fifteen hours long. There was a huge push with the value of games.
All forms of media have been doing “remasters” or “remakes”. Look at movies all we get are remakes essentially and the reason is because we are ushering in a new generation of video gamers and movie watchers so why not show them what they missed. I remember being young and my dad would say everything is a sample in music or how all the movies I’m watching are remakes of his old movies it’s the same thing.
I'm actually really enjoying indiana Jones, but that's just based off of the first hour and a half that i've played. The story has me intrigued with potential giants / fallen angels or some people may know them as nephilim. The sneaking mechanics are about as rudimentary as MJ sneaking mechanics in spider man 2 or maybe even worse. Basically, all you can do is crouch behind a box.
My issue with jacks argument with pc gaming is I dont think most people are gonna want to wait for however long it even takes for PlayStation games to even go on Pc and he never mentions that. Most of the big exclusives people who actually wanna play including people who have a pc are not gonna wait and might just re buy when it does go there.
As a PlayStation gamer who loves Indiana Jones, I was looking forward to this being the game that finally makes me invest in an Xbox. But they ditched that strategy so I guess I'm playing it a few months later on PS5.
The story of Khaos Reigns also extremely hurt the sales too. Horrible ending, I think the Kameo system was cool to try but I hope it’s not back in the next MK
Idk what the disconnect is about BG and the Indiana Jones game. He tried the game and it’s not for him. If he hadn’t tried it people would have had a problem with that too. What y’all want him to pretend he liked it?
$100 that the PS6 gone be $800 or more🤝🏾. Niggas forget that people were buying PS5s for $1,000 and the PS5+ a disc drive is currently $800. Easy money.
Why is jazzy on this show? He’s basically Jacks lawyer and spokesperson. “He don’t like marvel like that”, “you heard the news about ps portal, hey Jack tell them about it”…useless. Besides that, he looks like a r’trded Dak Prescott
Its crazy 4 years later we're just now getting themes especially after the bs price increase for all the ps tiers. Also i just remembered theres a wonder woman game in the making i wonder will we see it at the vga 🤔
You can only stream PS+ games on the portal if you dont have a PS5. You cant buy new games its not a big deal you also need the most expensive PS+ tier
BG, these connections are not out of anywhere. It's not hard to understand this. At the end of the day, the PC porting links back to a misguided idea of expanding the audience beyond the console. Porting to other devices, trying to get streaming going, all the multimedia crap, "expanding" 1st party apparatus towards live service slop, you can't excise PC ports from that. In the end, it hasn't provided any benefits for the audience, and hasn't even achieved the goals of doing it in the first place for Sony OR Microsoft. And you really can't deny the latter. Their games got worse after PC ports became a thing. Their games sold LESS, as did their hardware. It's not the sole factor, but it does contribute. How can you buy from Todd Howard that not developing for PS frees up dev resources, but not that PC ports (which we know are being primed during production) bottlenecks the pipeline? Among other things, Complete PeeSea Destruction is what is necessary for PS to retain its former glory.
Bg def righr 3rd person is just better . Unless it's like cod or halo battlefield. Game should be 3rd person. How u got customization in a 1st person game. It's stupid
I dont understand why yall are trapped in the console mindset exclusively. We also need to stop using the term platform interchangeably with console. The console is simply one access point to the platform. So for Xbox for instance, you can access the platform through the console, PC, and mobile/cloud. If the overall MAU'S, and im talking about genuine xbox users (similar to a xbox console user) is similar to playstation, i dont see lower console sales being a major concern. Last time i checked, out of the claimed 500million MAU's , around 120 million are legit xbox users which are xbox one, xbox series, cloud, and PC launcher. And thats a old figure dating back during the ABK court hearings
If you own an Xbox and aren't sure about its future because the sales are plummeting, that makes it a questionable investment as you might lose your library once they give up. If PlayStation has exclusives plus all of Xbox's games, then it objectively has a better library and less and less people will buy an Xbox. The fact is, if you're a console owner, it benefits you as a consumer for the console to be doing well. You don't want to be an afterthought. Microsoft could easily abandon consoles. You'll soon be able to play Halo 5 on PC due to a new Xbox One translation layer for Windows. Emulation of Xbox games on PC or the cloud could be used a backup plan to let them smoothly exit the console space as the sales continue to plummet. The sales of the next Xbox being very poor could kill the platform.
@@idakev I think you have a very very poor understanding of what the xbox strategy is and what it has been for years. It's a multi pillared approach and has been since the later years of the xbox one. I myself take full advantage of it. I have a powerful PC, a series x, and a mobile cloud device and I access my xbox games across all devices and use them for their own specific use cases. You're speaking as an exclusively home console user .. which is simply just not the future. Why tf would you not want to be able to access your games where ever you want?? This is some strange strange thinking.
@@Mmachine88 You didn't actually respond to what I said. I understand the strategy. Their idea is a low barrier of entry across the board which will hypothetically bring in loads of "Xbox" users. It didn't properly pan out. *The main problem is that PC users love Steam and refuse to use the Microsoft Store,* so Game Pass adoption quickly plateaued. So they put games on PlayStation as they fell extremely behind their projections. The Microsoft Store is simply not a good base to build from. People will never use it. *This strategy makes far more sense for Valve because people actually use Steam.* If they do the Steam console properly unlike last time, then this approach could work. A Steam console user would have no fear of losing their library. And they already have the Steam Deck which makes more sense than a handheld which by default launches the Microsoft Store. Your lifestyle also isn't the main use case of their approach. Statistically, very few people will own both own a powerful PC and an Xbox. They'll invest in one and maybe use the cloud or a handheld sometimes. Or only use the cloud or a handheld. *You're speaking from the perspective of a very hardcore user while pretending you would represent be the typical user.* It's about the low barrier of entry. If you're actually willing to respond to the ramifications of Xbox consoles sales continually declining, that would be great. 👍
the games industry is going down hill its not improving at all, this dev makes some great points as to why that is, ruclips.net/video/PHwCypPq1iM/видео.html

The PS6 power jump will be mild, more powerful than a PS5 Pro obviously, but nothing crazy. They'll lean more into AI than raw power.
In conclusion, expecting the PS6 to be priced at $1000 is retarded, but that is to be expected with Jack.
Let Jack talk long enough and he’ll contradict himself
That common huh? Aite outta the 10 yrs of the pod surely you can provide me with 5 examples of this happening. I'll be waiting.
The PS6 WILL BE expensive. Sony is too stupid to make the smart decisions designing the system.
The Vita failed because of proprietary storge
@Yoko.Kurama
I think that help lead to the death of the vita of course, but games nowadays take anywhere from 4 to 8 years to create.
@@aship865 The Uncharted games weren't even made by Naughty Dog
I'm actually surprised at the mostly good reviews for Indiana Jones.🤔
As a PlayStation gamer who loves Indiana Jones, I was looking forward to this being the game that finally makes me invest in an Xbox. But they ditched that strategy so I guess I'm playing it a few months later on PS5.
The story of Khaos Reigns also extremely hurt the sales too. Horrible ending, I think the Kameo system was cool to try but I hope it’s not back in the next MK
I don't mind a short game but I ain't paying $70 for i will wait for a price drop unless it's a game I was looking forward to.
Idk what the disconnect is about BG and the Indiana Jones game.
He tried the game and it’s not for him. If he hadn’t tried it people would have had a problem with that too.
What y’all want him to pretend he liked it?
2:01:07 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:30 gagy BG?
BG thinks that Sony gonna have price DECREASES and charge less than 800$ for a PS6 with a disc drive 4 years from now😂.
@@Captain_Kel you wanna put money on it?
$100 that the PS6 gone be $800 or more🤝🏾. Niggas forget that people were buying PS5s for $1,000 and the PS5+ a disc drive is currently $800. Easy money.
Wish ya did have some none gaming topics, but i get why an after dark thing.
3rd person is not generally better than first person..... stop it.
youre wrong
Why is jazzy on this show? He’s basically Jacks lawyer and spokesperson. “He don’t like marvel like that”, “you heard the news about ps portal, hey Jack tell them about it”…useless. Besides that, he looks like a r’trded Dak Prescott
Its crazy 4 years later we're just now getting themes especially after the bs price increase for all the ps tiers. Also i just remembered theres a wonder woman game in the making i wonder will we see it at the vga 🤔
SexDefiant shutting down is one of the gaming moments of 2024
Damn where's everybody at in the comments??
Did you know Marvel Rivals was developed by a Chinese company?
Maybe that's why the game rewards team players over individualists.
Drinks on meeehh
I’m glad y’all agreed on gaming issues with the Shawn Layden topic. I’m 32 hours into Wukong and I’m barely about to fight the final boss in chapter 4
John Garvin must stop yappin and crying.
00:30:00 😂
$999 price tag looks more attractive than a $799 price tag. Says someone that sells TV's.
Secret lvl was kinda ass
03:12:48 LMFAOOOOO
Bg def righr 3rd person is just better . Unless it's like cod or halo battlefield. Game should be 3rd person. How u got customization in a 1st person game. It's stupid
Mujeres beben 🍷
This is the new cope xbox fanboys come up with, lmao 🤣
@@FabledFiend Bro no one is coping, I'm just not living in the past lmfao. Some ya'll just can't wrap your heads around simple things
*You're speaking from the perspective of a very hardcore user while pretending you would represent be the typical user.*
It's about the low barrier of entry.
If you're actually willing to respond to the ramifications of Xbox consoles sales continually declining, that would be great. 👍
the games industry is going down hill its not improving at all, this dev makes some great points as to why that is, ruclips.net/video/PHwCypPq1iM/видео.html
