Dear Anna and Anton: This is excellent. I will recommend all of my students to watch this and learn from this informative and calming lesson. I love the attention on relaxation and proper hand positions. As well, beautiful recordings you have made! Thank you from Denver, Colorado!
Thank you! These lessons are a tremendous resource. It is so helpful to have you explain the basics of the instrument. I am progressing much more quickly through these beginning stages of playing baroque lute thanks to your tips and instructions. You are certainly helping bring more baroque lutenists into the world, myself included. Thank you very much! You are both inspirational players.
gracias por compartir su arte, es inspirador espero avanzar todo lo que pueda con sus clases un abrazo desde Venezuela yo misma fabricaré mi laud ya compré los planos!
Thanks! Excellent information for all plucked string instruments. I find solace in the fine music you present here. It gives me solace in this mad world.
Lifting of the LH fingers before position shifts also cuts or minimizes the 'squeaks' one encounters particularly on wound strings. Valuable tip. Thank you.
Hahaha i also watch TV while practicing with my guitar. It's very nice, because it is like a accompaiment. Otherwise i would feel terribly alone and bored while only practicing. But actually i don't watch it, I let it on just to accompany me.
Great - 4 fingers on frets in natural position - and changing position. Kill two - fingers/hand gets coordination - and elbow coming to position in the process of.
Thank you Anna and Anton for another excellent lesson. I wanted to ask about your right hand technique. I noticed in your Barrios and Torroba videos, your right hand fingers pluck across the strings more than classical players do. Do you find this technique is easier or more natural and do you find it is easier to play faster this way with the right hand? Also, are you plucking with your fingernails or with the fingertips ? Thank you again for this video lesson and all of the other wonderful videos you have posted on RUclips.
I have just begun to explore the barock lute, which is difficult, but very interesting. Your lessons are very helpful: thank you for that. Peter
