Plenty of people are hiding under rocks in this comments section. No Mans Sky is fantastic now, with overwhelmingly positive reviews. Kudos to Hello Games for delivering such incredible free content to an otherwise unfinished game, and kudos to 65DaysOfStatic to recording hours of new music for the game! (Which unfortunately isn't on this album).
because Hello Games is a company that sticks to their promise, even if it wasn't perfect at launch, over time it has become one of the best open world (galaxy? universe? I don't know) games I know
@@Magoozle123 Yeah checking in to say, I made that comment three years ago, the game is just leaps and bounds better now. I can't believe they've stuck with free updates for this length of time. What a colossal company Hello Games are.
I haven't even finished the game, I'm on my way to the galactic core and I've almost cried so many times because of this amazing story. I'm so excited to finish it and keep exploring this infinite universe. I've always wanted to visit space, explore, and do exactly what you do as a Traveller. This game has fulfilled some of this desire and I thank both 65DaysOfStatic for this soundtrack and the developers for making such an amazing game. This will forever stay in my heart, no matter what. I can tell I will love this game for years to come. I hope I'm not the only one who feels both relaxed and alive through this game.
No Man's Sky is like The Life Of Pablo of gaming, it has become a constantly moving, upgrading and shifting piece of art. Sean Murray is an artist, and Hello Games are a small team of artists working on their passion project. This game, for me, is definitive proof that gaming is high art, an art form that helps you escape into a world of beauty, freedom, innovation and infinite possibilities. No Man's Sky is an inspiring story of art that shows how a small group of developers have created one of the most potent games of the modern era. That, my friend, is ART. Whether you like it or not, I admire and thank both Sean Murray and his team for the amazing things they have achieved, all at no extra monetary cost.

@@thebigfunnycenter for sure! I take breaks to play other games here and there but I still love this game. I preordered it back when it was coming out, the first few years were rough and now it’s a completely new game.

I know a lot of people were dissatisfied with the game, but I've liked it since it came out. It's been a very therapeutic game to play where you can endlessly find beautiful dreamscapes and the music was so immersive I would end up playing for hours despite it feeling like minutes :) I still encourage people to give the game a try despite what others think, they've updated too so there's more content .
I had it on launch day but my PS4 and games were stolen. :-( I was given an Xbox to replace it and have been playing NMS on it since 2018. It's brilliant and the community is one of the best out there.
This is truely an epic soundtrack. It perfectly captures the sense of mystery, wonder, and exploration the universe hides away. I only hope No Man's Sky will one day live up to it's original promises, so It deserves to have a soundtrack like this.
It's now multiplayer. I hated it at launch and only played it simply because I spent so much money on it. Glad I stuck around. It's turning into an epic game!
They also made an entire album of space music for an old sci-fi flim, it's called Silent Running and it's what got me so hype for this release. You've gotta check it out!
This game probably would've been 65dos' big commercial break had the music not been overshadowed by the drama surrounding the game's incomplete release. Soundtrack is an all-time classic and never really got the recognition it deserved.
got mine preordered already!!, but one cool thing... i used a youttube to mp3 converter to grab the short version off 65DOS youtube page, and upon downloading i noticed the total size was EXACTLY 65.65 mb!!! crazy world....
@@Vert_GreenHeart Not necessarily, it can be summed up better as Post-Rock, but even then Post-Rock often doesn't have electronic music. I know this might be a stretch, but Asimov, that track tells a story without words. It tells a story of perseverance from the lack of hope. the climax screams "you made it" that transcends the past and the present, like those never mattered. what only mattered is the future, and you in it.
nah just play a bit and once you start getting close the center things start getting really different. I wish I could post some of my screenshots here.

Brendan Forish if I took four random but sequential measures of the drum track of Enter Sandman and played it by itself, no one would say it sounds exactly like Enter Sandman.

Having listend to 65dos since 2004, this is quite cool seeing them publish a video game soundtrack.
Those soundscapes are so nice, you drift on a wave of bliss and wonder. This is one of those games where soundtrack is a very powerful tool.

Hey, remember when everyone hated this game and pilloried Hello Games for duping them? Yeah? Me neither. No Man's Sky is a classic.
The theme of this game is terrifying, crushing loneliness, and the music captures it well.
NMS is a relaxing, chill game. Much of that goes to the music.
