Sure, DDP had heel turns before, but they were nowhere near as drastic as "I'm gon' stalk the Undertakers' wife, yepper" And even then, in WCW heel DDP was booked almost as dominant as when he was a face. He showed the world that even a guy who started wrestling in his later years going past the twenties and began to do it in the thirties is incredible. It goes to show you, you don't have to start out at a very young age for experience. He did it in a very short time and that is rare.

Sadly, people will more remember him for his stalker gimmick in WWE, which is a tragedy. In the dying days of WCW, he was one final few bright things in WCW.

One of the few wrestlers from past era, that didn't die under 50 (especially considering he got into wrestling being much older, that most of the people doing that) or had any kind of life - ending health/real life situations.
And props to him for saving Hall and Roberts from the brink of rather miserable end of life.
