So, to make sure I got this correct, are you saying that In order to get face tracking to work with external monitor I will need to set the 4K HDMI output to record “only” externally, then just press record on the external monitor? I also noticed in the video you had the camera actually recording (it did not say standby) at the same time as the external monitor recording when you had face tracking working (is that required for face tracking to work?), but since you had to set the camera to only record the 4K signal externally (not on the local media card) then doesn’t that mean the camera was not actually recording?

Minha dúvida é que você mencionou no vídeo que para perder o face tracking a sony a6500 precisa estar (i) usando a saída hdmi e (ii) gravando. Só que numa live stream se a sony a6500 estiver APENAS transmitindo por meio do a saída hdmi dela e NÃO estiver gravando, mesmo assim ela perderá o face tracking? Essa é minha dúvida! Desde já agradeço a atenção!
Now i now why when i am recording my vlogs with the external monitor the focus always jumps to the gear im showing and never stays on my face.. a6500 is so problematic when it comes to filming yourself..
with hdmi info OFF i'm seeing some sort of face tracking on the hdmi feed. how can i turn that off. everything is clean other than that SOLVED: switch to video mode on external hardware software.

so it`s not possible to record in 4k 60p with the ninja v because the 6500 only supports 4k30 ?

Recording externally - how much does it help with overheating in the A6500?
I haven't had an issue with overheating.

It should work the same on the a6300, but I’m not sure about the a6000.
this does not work ....its a fake it certainly is not a Sony 6500
Karen Morvay yes, it does work and that certainly is a Sony a6500 with a SmallRig cage on it.
@@genxtechguy when I go to that menu ,its greyed out .and when I click on it it says this function is currently disabled
