@@neocvera Horizontal feels better to grip. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 1st gen gameboy, but the feel of my game gear and lynx was more comfortable.
I'm glad these portal clone consoles are getting better, I had a super game axe 25 years ago, was for famicom games but it came with a famicom to nes adapter, it wasn't terrible looking as long as you didn't make any sudden movements... was playing Zelda II and sneezed and the system froze... that was what lead me to flash carts and emulation on the gba.
Let me know if you have any compatibility issues. For me Sonic 2 and Strider didn’t work. I have to check the carts though on real hardware to rule outta my cartridges
Nabbed one off your link boss. Thanks plus there was a 40% off deal uhhhh yes please. I ended up paying 51 and change for it. Hoping it works with my Mega Everdrive! Sure I can use other devices but I dig the button layout here and it just feels cool using an og cart to play on. Yeah I wanna use an everdrive but from time to time I might still pop in my og Sonic 2 cart lol. Cheers!
It seems to have good sound too. I didn’t hear any missed or bad notes. So whether is is software or hardware handling, seems good. When you played Lightning Force, frame-rate did not seem perfect, that could have just been youtube’s recording fault.
Dos thise sd cards carts work to?ones that you down load you whole sega library on put cart in?I have every sega game in rome form i want to use a sd ever drive to put my games on so it works with this
Welp got mine and the everdrive pro doesn't work for everyone wanting to know. Also I have an issue with mine. The games that are pre installed run at the correct framerate but my carts run at half the normal rate. Was this an issue with yours?
@@neocvera Yes every cart I tried ran slow compared to how they are supposed to. Games like Sonic 2 and Shinobi were really bad imo. I play these alot on official hardware and they are much slower here. I also just watched the part where you play Sonic again in the video and noticed it there too. When I originally saw that I thought it might be youtube compession and figured you would for sure notice the slow down yourself.
@@neocveraI reached out to the developers and also ordered a replacement. Also you started the vid showing a ton of emu devices. I too own everyone you showed and everyone of those plays genesis games at full speed. Boot one up and set the neocade next to one running the opening demo of Sonic 2. That would be the real test for speed if you feel like doing so. Either way I hope it's just a bad unit I got cuz I love everything about it. These things happen.
@@neocvera the Microsd slot is useless. Nothing can be loaded from it and Neocade won't respond to questions about what it is for, just repeating the same AI written nonsense about loading roms. When you plug in a GBA cart what it actually does is extract the image and load it as a rom.
The original price is 79.99 with a 40% discount, which is only available during the new product promotion period. The coupon will expire soon!I have already got it
WHat type of screen does this have? You don't really show viewing angles it in your video and Noecades last attempt at a handheld, the GBA inspired Neocade Pocket had a terrible quality TFT screen that looked good from the angles you show but disintegrated into a mess from any other angle. Instead of spinning the system around on the desk it might have been better to show this in detail.
I don’t really play from any angle other than facing the device (the perspective I showed) but looking at it - I wouldn’t play it from the left or right side. It doesn’t completely wash out but clearly not the ideal angle to play the games.
Here’s a sample at 4K60

Ooh Piko , believe that company brings back old retro games , that no longer belong to any game company and they make homebrews as well .
I wish Analogue would use this form factor for the pocket including button layout
Yeah, I have to say, I prefer horizontal layout on handhelds 💯
@@neocverano kinda controller can be hooked up to this thing ?

@adonian yeah I have no connection to the vertical handhelds. Never owned a GB/GBC - it was Lynx, nomad, NGP, GBA, PSP so pretty much all I know.
@@neocvera does this one work with multi carts? If it does, I'm definitely gonna get it because it's on sale 40% off right now.
My birthday present to myself, Amazon here I come. Thanks neocvera

How do you know Everdrive MD sd cartridge will work or even multiple carts ? normally clone consoles botched that part up 95% of the time .
@joezar33 I have no idea - I don’t own a flash cartridge. YMMV
@@joezar33 probably not. Multi game carts didn't work their previous Gameboy Advance clone as it relies on dumping the cart.
I have tried. Some multi game carts work. Some didn't. And Everdrive didn't work.
This came outta nowhere and seems pretty cool 😎
Wish they made something like this for the game gear but with a better audio chip and a headphobe jack
👍Thanks for sharing this! M looking for a backup system for my Nomad. Subscribed!

Let us know if that Everdrive works! Lots of folks have asked about that.
Cool I love the Genesis / Mega Drive
Why did they not use Genesis/Mega Drive styled direction pad? Odd choice.
It seems to have good sound too. I didn’t hear any missed or bad notes. So whether is is software or hardware handling, seems good. When you played Lightning Force, frame-rate did not seem perfect, that could have just been youtube’s recording fault.
This looks nice, it has a better screen, and it's less expensive than the Sega Nomad. It's like a modern upgraded version of it.
It’s definitely a more affordable way to play your real carts on a handheld.
I'd be cautious on that "better screen". Their last handheld used a horrible cheap TFT screen with terrible viewing angle compatibility.
Thank you a bought this piko had lots of evercade carts 😅
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Genesis Games !
Does this work with the Mega Everdrive Pro?
No clue - I’m swinging towards no though.
I'll have this tomorrow and I have the Everdrive Pro and will update you.
@ I hope for the best but I’m almost certain of the worst.
I have tried. No work.
I don't want to judge it by the youtube audio but it sounds harsh and tinny. Did you try headphones and how does it sound in real life?
I didn’t have high expectations from such a small device. Sound is what I expected from a single tiny speaker. Unfortunately, no headphone jack.
Dos thise sd cards carts work to?ones that you down load you whole sega library on put cart in?I have every sega game in rome form i want to use a sd ever drive to put my games on so it works with this
I don’t own an ever drive so can’t confirm if that works. From what I’ve seen for other similar devices, those carts tend not to load.
It probably won't. Previous Neocade carts are incompatible with Everdrives.

Yeah I don’t share that experience but at the same time, I kinda dealt with the Nomad which because of the screen, was not like playing on the CRT.

@GamersReckoning yeah no doubt on those other devices - they just don’t let you insert your personal cartridges. That was the appeal to me.
Does it have a headphone jack?
Nope. 👎
Will this device play Japanese Mega Drive games?
It should as it advertises it as an MD player.
@@neocvera cool!!
Is this an actual clone or is it using emulation dumping the cartridge rom like the hyperkin consoles?
I haven’t opened it up but I feel like it’s more a clone rather than a rom dump>emulator.
If it works the same way as their GBA model then it dumps the cart first
@ I wouldn’t be so sure because that gba model seems to have a microsd slot built in, that’s more likely to be an emulator handheld.

Nah it’s absolutely the same - just coming out of a tiny single speaker.
@neocvera maybe the problem
It's sad that instead of genesis hardware clone they use emulator with complicated menu and useless nes games
