How many of you eat Buñuelos at Christmas time? And, what do they look like? There are so many versions, I'd love to hear yours. Let me know in the comments.
@@gowest5145 Yum! My neighbor recently brought me some raspberry jam and we've been enjoying it on our toast. I didn't think to try it on buñuelos when we still had some. In Mexico, it's common to pour syrup over buñuelos, so you may be on to something. Thanks for watching.
I made buñuelos for an Elks Lodge function here in Santa Fe and nobody had ever heard of them! There were none leftover. I learned from my mother in South Texas where they are common - and delicious!
Moms are so special, always putting the family before themselves. Yours would be happy to know you remember her with such sweetness. Thanks for watching!
That was fun and I could almost smell the aroma. Sometimes I wish Dad hadn't been in such a hurry for me to get the outdoor farm chores done and I could have helped Mom in the kitchen more.... Ah, such great memories you bring back and more importantly, recipes I can try to duplicate. Thanks you, loving the channel!
If you grew up on a farm and had chores to do, I'm certain you have a great work ethic and are a better person for it today. I'm happy to hear my recipes bring back good memories. Thanks for watching!
Your videos are a pleasure to watch, very well organized and excellent camera work. I think you have said your husband is a professional cameraman and it shows. Compliments to you both.
I made these last year for the first time they came out really good. You're right, they're very addicting. I had to hide them from myself . I like them with hot chocolate in the evening
Exactly, she sounds so professional. She makes great videos. You're right, she should be on pbs. I always think that she also sounds like a newscaster.
This seems so delicious. I can't wait to give it a try. It's almost the same recipe as tortillas. Do you knead your tortillas that long as well? Sometimes my tortillas turn out great and sometimes not so great.
I don't knead my tortillas that long, but even 5 minutes will help keep them from tearing. Resting the dough is also good for tortillas. Thanks for watching!
@@marcyinspired1442 with tortillas, you're supposed to rest your dough two times, am I correct. Are we supposed to rest it before you make the balls and then resting it after you make the balls?
Omg ive been doing it all wrong 😬 we just used flour totillas 🤷♀️ these will taste like the bakeries thank you finally im gonna get it right. Have a wonder day 😁💕
@@marcyinspired1442 thank you Marcy, I bet these are gonna taste like grandma's hmmm I found what was missing . 😁 thank you for all your time your a Blessing 🌷

They look like they would be great with my homemade black raspberry jam.

My mother would stay up late making these for the whole family. I have missed the bunuelos but miss my mom more. Thank you. Forney, TX

I wish I had one of those. Look so good.
Thanks! Wish there was a way I could share through the screen.

They didn't last long, that's for sure!

Awe. Thank you. What a nice comment.
I made these Bunuelos every Christmas 🎄. THEY'RE ADDICTED.
Thanks again Marcy, for the trip down memory lane. Mom would make Bunuelo’s when we were kids, and we absolutely loved them.
Wow almost a Navajo frybread interesting
Very close to it. Although fry bread is thicker and softer. And now I'm craving a Navajo taco! Lol
Aww Marcy, you had me at CRUNCH!!!😋😋🤣
Ha! My crunch was louder than I thought! But it was good.
Pure Goodness!!!
That about sums it up. Thanks for watching!
Que riquísimos se miran,
Saludos Marcy desde Albuquerque!!
No duraron mucho. 🤤Saludos!
❤brings me back to when my grandma made these during the holidays ❤️ I need to bring this tradition back…thank you 👍 Happy Holidays 🎄
Yes! It's a great tradition. I love that.
This looks so good, my husband wants these badly. Thank you Marcy. Tony, amazingly produced as usual, such stand out quality & filmed with love.❤
Awe. Thank you. Hope you make some soon.
Thanks so much! My son will love this. I'm going to make it for Christmas.
I'm happy to hear that. I don't know a kid who doesn't like them. Thanks for watching!

Yes! Love them with hot chocolate. There's just too many goodies this time of year. And I can't be trusted around any of them.
Yummy! When the kids were young and still at home we did this with flour tortilla dough. I can taste the memory. Thanks.❤
I'm sure your grown kids have that same sweet memory. Thanks for the comment.
These look so delicious! Love the way you filmed this recipe. I felt like I was right there. The crisp! I have to make these!
Thanks! Tony's photography always makes everything look so good. Hope you're doing well and that you enjoy these buñuelos.
Yum! That is making me so hungry!! 😋
Those look so delicious. I can't wait to make them. Thank you Marcy.
Thanks. Hope you enjoy them.
Your production is insane Sis. Like watching a PBS special or major cooking show.
And who doesn't love cinnamon and sugar?? Crazy people... Yummy!!!
Ha! Thanks. My husband will especially appreciate your comment, since he's behind the camera.

Mmmm..😍
Thanks for watching!
😂 sometimes, when werent patient, we would just fry a flour tortilla and tossed it in cinnamon sugar. ❤ love them! 😊
Those do look delicious 😋 thank you from Barbara 😊

Her voice sounds like an anchor woman
Are these similar to elephant ears?
I had never heard of elephant ears and just now had to look them up. They do look very similar, though I wouldn't know how they taste.
