In this video, I review how to master a Tight Turn from A Stop on a Motorcycle and specifically on my Harley Davidson Street Glide CVO. As you saw at the beginning, I made a huge mistake in making a tight turn from A Stop in my neighborhood. Had a car been coming when I make the tight turn from a stop and went wide, I would have been hit and the motorcycle would have been damaged. Making a proper tight turn from a stop in a motorcycle | Harley Davidson is not too difficult if you follow the 4 steps I cover in this video.
Make sure to keep watching until the end to see some bonus footage that is a must see!

You just made a tight turn to the right at a stop sign, BUT, you went wide and ended up in the other lane. Why did that happen? Make sure to check this video out and see me make that mistake and then show you the 4 steps to MASTERING a tight turn right or left from a stop on a Harley Davidson or any motorcycle. This is a skill that can be practiced in a parking lot and you don't even need cones.

I don’t ride anymore but when I did I rode a Yamaha full dress Venture 1300 cc V-4.The bike always felt top heavy.I was always afraid to make a tight U Turn feeling it was going to tip over.It did a few times I corrected it but still was hesitant.Thank you for a great video.
Thank you Vito for watching and sharing your thoughts on the topic. I appreciate your support to the channel. ✌️👊👍
Timely video. I see this every year in the spring.
Every year parking lot time is part of my winter/ spring start up for riding.
Slow speed riding is the key to a great year.
We’ll done

Rekluse clutch is the way to go. Best purchase I've made for my '21 SGS and if you have one or used one before I'm sure you'll agree. Makes slow tight turns EZ PZ and being able to roll through traffic jams or sitting at a 5 minute long stop light without having to hold the clutch lever in, especially the area I live in, makes riding so much more comfortable. Highly recommended if you have the funds available!
Thanks for watching and commenting with your input on the topic. I've definitely heard good things about the Rekluse clutch. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. This really helped my son! Great video Rick
Thanks Bob. Glad it helped. ✌️👊👍
I was happy to hear you did that wide turn on purpose because I thought if a pro like you can make a mistake then I have no business getting back on a bike. These videos are awesome. This must be a new channel because you should have 500K subscribers which will happen quickly for you. Kudus for the great safety videos which can potentially save lives. Do you have any videos on proper way to use the rear and front brakes? That's still a tad confusing subject to me even though I rode a Street Glide 15 years ago. I never had any issues but there must be a recommended method for proper braking which I completely forgot. Thanks again🙏
Thanks for the very kind words. I do have a video on emergency threshold braking. Quick tips tp remember, don't use front brake if doing slow speed maneuvers. Use both brakes if coming to a stop from speed. Always have your handle bars squared up when stopping. Use front and rear brakes smoothly applying progressive pressure to come to a complete stop. Never grab the front brake always squeeze it. Don't stomp the rear brake...use steady firm pressure. ✌️👊👍
@@HDVIBE awesome. Thanks again for the info. Appreciate you my friend!!

Do u have any bar suggestions for a 07 1300 vtx?
Thanks for watching and commenting. Unfortunately my knowledge of products revolved around Harley Davidson motorcycles primarily. As such I'm not able to suggest bars for a VTX. Ride safe and enjoy. ✌️👊👍
