Brooke grew up not far from my hometown of New Wilmington, PA, where I first saw her when she was about 16, performing in our little town's coffee house. She came up with her dad, and I had brought my young adult daughter to her performance. It was really enjoyable then, and she has since matured into a truly gifted singer/songwriter. Brooke's music has been added to my Catie Curtis, Patty Larkin, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin collection. Not bad company, Brooke.
A lovely and thoughtful entry, Jeff. I first fell in love with Brooke's voice when "Remind Me" came out in '15 - so, a late bloomer. But I was so lucky to see her perform live in Toronto and she entirely blew me away with her solo ability and the way she brings each song to life. I, too hold her in good company and continue to hope that her popularity can soon earn her the living she deserves.....in a tough business.
