Reign is loosely based on true events. Mary Queen of Scots is the main character. She became the Queen of Scotland when she was just 6 days old. She was sent to France to marry Prince Francis and secure Scotlands future. In the beginning, she could be called somewhat naive, but that soon changes. The redhead is Queen Elizabeth of England also known as the Virgin Queen. She isn´t a part of the show until season 2.
The show is some what based on real life events and the life of Mary queen of Scots (Mary Stuart) who is cousins to Elizabeth Tudor (the women with the red hair) it’s a really good show to watch and it’s really intense but it’s not 100% historically accurate.
