Actually, yes--at least metaphorically (even in the first run, you were hard pressed to see it as historical fiction--early medieval France and the son of Charlemagne). The show's about finding your own road/fate, as opposed to what society/family/other influences dictate.
what is the storyline for this show? btw I loved the dark skin women who won a tony the other night, she seems so sweet and beautiful also her performance was awesome:)
I saw this is April and have been obsessed since. Patina Miller is perfect.
I saw this in previews.. It was phenomenal and I walked away stunned!
I literally cannot stop watching this video. I'm seeing this in july and I'm beyond excited.
I went to see it and I loved it and im doing a presentation about it :)

Congrats to 2013 Tony winner!...a fresh and visually spectacular redesign of Fosse's classic but very dated and clichéd choreographed show.

Read up on Charlemagne, & on war in general.
I don't understand what's going on in this show, I need to see it.
What's the story? A boy runs away to the circus to find himself?
Booo....are you serious about the title and the content of this clip? The stupidity to no-shame ratio is the grease, I guess...
