That's partly season 1's problem too, since the training arc(s) post-crown game were skimmed, season 2's already egregious pacing had no way of salvaging what the previous studio left for the people to handle later There's that one they did with a Khun and Bam flashback where they were talking about Endorsi flirting with Bam to call back to the personal training (iirc) they did together back in the first season that was cut in the anime but even that was massively cut down as a flashback that they swear happened

Animation can elevate or destroy a good show, but it doesn't change a mediocre one that has nothing going for it. God of Highschool had great animation, great fight choreography, great character design and amazing music, and it was still a shit show, because it had terrible character writing, plot and bad direction.

The studio adapting ToG S2 has never done any projects before ever. This is the first animation project they are doing as a studio so it's kinda expected but truly unfortunate. Another option would be a reliable studio like MAPPA adapting this which would honestly be a GOD SEND.. we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I’m flabbergasted of how much this anime flopped!!! It’s been 4 years which should have gave them a enough time and effort to put into it, but nope let’s just take the easy way 😨. You can tell by the change of the animation style through season 1 to 2 of how lazy and greedy they became.

I think the animation is passable so far, but it's definitely worrisome if people can tell the quality is lacking. I'm just hoping since the webcomic didnt remaster the art for a more polished release to pair up with the anime release that eventually we'll see an improvement with progression into the series. Honestly I can only assume the studio rushed the release, either cus of sponsors or otherwork they were probably prioritizing.
Dude it took 4 years for a second season and 1 and half year after the first announcement (even if we take it that they started working on it when it was announced) it is long time to produce an anime compare to other newer studios. The biggest issue here is this studio has no experience like none they haven’t assisted with any other series nor worked on shorts but dived straight into a 24 ep show. Most anime studios take an year or two after starting to work on smaller projects like music videos, assisting other studios or shorts unless they have big names animators in their studio but this studio has none yet they just went into this head first no wonder they don’t know how to manage.

They are skipping all the chill moments in the webtoon between the new cast and are only showing us the most important moments as if it’s a summary, there were some many panels of them just siting at home playing cards, Yihwa’s terrible cooking and trying to learn afterwards, Prince and Miseong’s relationship etc you literally get to see them slowly warm up to Bam/Viole but since the anime cut it out for action scenes (which are also terrible) we get either stuff.

I never respected how important animation is. Wistoria has the most mid predictable cliche storytelling but the animation is GREAT & it's super popular. ToG has an amazing story but the anime team clearly dgaf

@smirg2975 S2's story skipped a major beat with the end of Untrustworthy Room & it's stretching out the Rachel Team arc too long (tbh they could've done it all including Arlene's Hand in 3 eps)
The next episode is likely Arlene's Hand which is the trigger for the best story arc in the series & the first time we get a clue about Baam's true heritage
We're in the set up stage. The Author likes to forshadow and have shit hit the fan later. Right now your suppose to get to know the weak team and see how they are polar opposites to Bams strong friends, but the anime skipped scenes of them interacting and vibing. The studio adapting ToG S2 has never done any projects before ever. This is the first animation project they are doing as a studio so it's kinda expected but truly unfortunate. I hope it gets the old One Piece episode treatment where they go back and readapt everything with better animation. Please for the love of God.

Tower of god has info and such that it lowkey needs this. But dont forget they cut more explanations character actively tell each other like how shinsu works. This ep they cut bam learning his signature technique, he was using it this entire time an not once have they named it. Imagine watching naruto and they neither explain what a rasengan is and cut out the part where he learned it......

Like i said in another reaction : i saw the lack of budget since the first episode and i was like "You know what, i'll let it slip maybe they kept the budget for a big scene later on" but we are at the episode 8 and it doesn't get better at all (still watching tho, but budget not here
The big scene being Urek fight which was butchered got me thinking they just unexperienced animators who got hired and are trying to make it work somehow (looking at there track record it seems I am very much right)
@@knaditya8228 You would be correct Answer studio is the studio adapting ToG S2 and it's their first project ever. That's right they have never animated anything before so basically it's all complete rookies taking their first stab at an industry. I really hope if they keep adapting more seasons they wait at least 5 years to hone their skills as an animation team. Another option would be a reliable studio like MAPPA adapting this which would honestly be a GOD SEND.. we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

@@knaditya8228 Urek fight was always just a single punch though - Urek could have killed all of them accidentally by breathing too hard so that's not really something that can be animated better. It is however very weird that they went all out on episode 1 animation, and seemingly nowhere else at this point

I’m flabbergasted of how much this anime flopped!!! It’s been 4 years which should have gave them a enough time and effort to put into it, but nope let’s just take the easy way 😨. You can tell by the change of the animation style through season 1 to 2 of how lazy and greedy they became.
They changed studios and rather than give it to a well established studio again crunchyroll decided to cheap out and give it to a unknown unexperienced studio
Its been a long time since TOG s1 but from what i remember the animation in S1 wasn't bad, just unique at least i remember not liking it at the start and then it was fine but damn this is just sad
that being said I think probably the first episode or first couple episodes of s2 were fine and then it just all went downhill

Doubt this will get answered but what happened to the slime reactions I love the tog source material but this show is bad I have my gripes with slime as well but at least it somewhat holds a candle to the original so were they just uninterested with slime or will they get back to it eventually?
Viewer retention plummeted (unlike Tog which still gets views) and they were not enjoying it anymore, so if the next season comes out and it’s hype they will catch up till then it’s on hold.

Bruh they might as well change the name to Tower of summary. Animations trash skipped a bunch of important shit. Being able to comjure 3 baangs is a big deal for E rank regulars but viole cassually summoned 5 baangs which shows how powerful he is

I think the animation is passable so far, but it's definitely worrisome if people can tell the quality is lacking. I'm just hoping since the webcomic didnt remaster the art for a more polished release to pair up with the anime release that eventually we'll see an improvement with progression into the series. Honestly I can only assume the studio rushed the release, either cus of sponsors or otherwork they were probably prioritizing.
Dude it took 4 years for a second season and 1 and half year after the first announcement (even if we take it that they started working on it when it was announced) it is long time to produce an anime compare to other newer studios. The biggest issue here is this studio has no experience like none they haven’t assisted with any other series nor worked on shorts but dived straight into a 24 ep show. Most anime studios take an year or two after starting to work on smaller projects like music videos, assisting other studios or shorts unless they have big names animators in their studio but this studio has none yet they just went into this head first no wonder they don’t know how to manage.
Animation, pacing, music, characters and story like EVERYTHING is way worse in this season than the first one
@@smirg2975 story is perfect, these characters are some of the most beloved in Tog fanbase, Music is still great if waited and tried to listen but paired with the un synced visuals it feels very bad. Pacing mostly good but then they go ahead and cut the character bonding moments of all new members sitting around playing poker and other stuff (I understand why but that just makes anime onlys not connect with them)

@@smirg2975 that’s what I am saying the story is great this season the anime is not just pacing it properly or stopping to give time. They are skipping all the chill moments in the webtoon between the new cast and are only showing us the most important moments as if it’s a summary, there were some many panels of them just siting at home playing cards, Yihwa’s terrible cooking and trying to learn afterwards, Prince and Miseong’s relationship etc you literally get to see them slowly warm up to Bam/Viole but since the anime cut it out for action scenes (which are also terrible) we get either stuff.
fuck bro, as an anime-only watcher, i really do enjoy the plot but the animation, and the story pacing sucks ass. I want more people to enjoy this series as well but it's gonna be hard when you handed them burnt food (like Yihwa's cooking)on the platter
