- Grimentz Switzerland 🇨🇭 A Swiss village tour of one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Switzerland in 4k video. This Swiss mountain village in the Val d’Anniviers is part of the Plus Beaux Villages de Suisse and one of the most traditional villages in Valais, Switzerland. Grimentz village is classified as an open-air, living museum, with houses dating back to the 13th century.
On this Switzerland village tour, view the old Swiss chalets, traditionally decorated with red geraniums. Visit the 3 carved wooden fountains, the water wheel and the Eglise Paroissiale Saint-Théodule. Imagine life in Grimentz village centuries ago at Le Maison de Grand-Maman. In the cellar of the Maison Bourgeoisie, learn about the famous 1886 Vin du Glacier.
Grimentz to Zinal, travel via the ski lifts. Visitors on holiday or vacation to the Swiss Alps, enjoy the slopes above Bendolla and along the Becs de Bosson up to an altitude of almost 3000 metres in winter. In summer, explore 100 kilometres of scenic hiking trails and biking routes, visit the Moiry Glacier, walk the 410-meter long Via Ferrata and zip along the Tyrolienne near the Moiry Reservoir Lake. The trust began it’s role when the floods and landslides destroyed part of the village. Grandma’s House is a place where you can experience how a home looked many years ago, the villagers donated items for the house that were of the time period. The rows of houses made of larch wood, the majestic church, and the mountain village with dense trees all shine beautifully.
We were shown the stained glass windows of Paul Monier’s work, walked slowly through Grimentz, and had ever detail captured on a video camera.

Wow, this is such an amazing place. I will definitely visit Grimentz when I come to Switzerland next year (or the next year) and look for the cutie town kitty there and make friends with it. The sound of flowing water is so soothing. We camped in Lauterbrunnen Valley and slept to the sound of the rushing glacial water in the river and from the waterfalls, we do miss that experience it was fabulous. Thanks for exploring with us 😊

I take it --there’s no earth quakes there ! The way a lot of theses buildings are sitting on mushroom planks
