At one point, my family used to own a bootleg version of the Lorax DVD and for what i can remember is that it was recorded in a cinema, probably is in a different language, and the disc would repeat the same film over and over again.
Kids today will never understand that this was our netflix.. one time i woke up at 3 am to a loud ass bootleg dvd menu and i was so damn scared to get up and turn the tv off so i had to listen to 30 seconds of a song looped until i fell asleep. i will never forget that..
I once saw a pirates copy of Lion King 2019 at a Flea market years ago and I think it was playing on some monitor, and from what I remember, the footage was recorded in a cinema.
None of those DVDs are theater recorded versions, and do not have FBI Warning, previews or extras. Except for the bootleg Snow Buddies DVD, that is made by a DVD manufacter in Southeast Asia, which Andrew smashed it on the next video (which reminds me of Trevon Reid smashing a bootleg Shrek 2 DVD with his hammer).
The Madagascar one looks pretty fantastic for a bootleg, not back in my dad where the discs were plain with a little sticker of Alex's face, and were kept in plastic sleeves
I once watched a bootleg Transformers DVD where there were Chinese subtitles on top of Spanish subtitles. Also, the film was very obviously recorded in a cinema somewhere with an absolute potato of a camcorder, with people laughing and coughing in the background. Also, a friend of mine used to own a bootleg Warcraft DVD which started with several logos of Chinese companies I had never heard of, before the Universal logo. I myself own a Spanish bootleg DVD of one of the Twilight films that a family friend gave to me, as well as possibly bootleg VHS-to-DVD rips of Red Dawn, Twister, and The Shawshank Redemption. I also passed on the chance to own a German bootleg Kung Fu Panda DVD.
Hey, by any chance, on one of these DVD menus, is there a song that include lyrics like “Above the clouds” / “I left the fuse with a love or two” / “Started with a spark and then just fizzled out”? Apologies for the weird-ish question, it’s just a song I’ve been looking for that is known to be played on some bootleg DVDs
I have Ice Age 2 & Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas bootleg movies here's what does it look like the cover is normal the disc is normal it's a picture of Scrat his teeth stuck on ice Sub-zero heroes on distance Manny Is there Diego, Sid & Crash on his left trunk Ellie & Eddie on his right trunk when I was young I have two discs of this other disc is a picture of 2006 movies it's X-Men The Last Stand, Superman Returns, many other 2006 live action movies but the original bootleg disc that I put it plays the normal 20th Century Fox logo on DVD but the DVD menu is different it plays the background from the beginning of the movie after the logo & the picture that it had is Manny looked confused Sid & Crash on his left trunk Sid looking shocked, Crash grinning Diego & Eddie on his right trunk Diego looking angrily & Eddie upside down hanging himself with his tail & Scrat on top of Manny the movie the song that was playing was tigers trying to get babyhad no bonus it only had setup, scenes & play the languages that it had was English but the subtitles are English, Thai, Korean & Chinese but there were differences on the movie the dialogue is different than the original version , also the scene where Sid talks to Diego about fear the song that was playing was the song from the scene where Ellie looks at her place where she was a young calf & Crash & Eddie met her, also at the end of the movie at the middle of the credits movie ends without reaching to the end & the movie's audio really sounded like a old classic movie & I don't understand this movie came in 2006 why it sounded like a old movie the Ice Age 2 movie that I had the Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas bootleg movie the disc was the picture of the disc of Crazy Frog with two other characters from different videogames a grey alien or a monster with multiple eyes & sharp teeth & a pink alien with a horns his horns was like Proxima Midnight

I forgot about the Chinese bootleg that I have of The Expendables 2.
I noticed something at the Flushed Away and the Madagascar bootleg. Both are obviously made with Windows DVD Maker.

Snow Buddies DVD COPY USA R.I.P. 2008-2019
That Madagascar bootleg DVD menu actually looks great. Also, why is the bootleg Flushed Away DVD menu labelled as Dora The Explorer in the chapters?
I bet they use DVD burner softwares to make these.
Nero and Imgburn, to be exact
They used Windows DVD maker
