    I read a post on Facebook the other day that said that in Ayurvedic medicine apples should be eaten in the Autumn ('Fall' inthe US and Canada) to cool down the body after the summer heat and prepare the body for winter. This is probably why apples are in peak season durin Autumn. Mother Nature knows best......

    I made it yesterday and my home smells of apple and cinnamon soooo wonderful!
    I like the crisp! I could eat it without baking as well )))
    Simple, fast, healthy idea for apple crips-pie!
    I added a little bit of granulated stevia instead of coconut sugar. The result is great!!
    I love baked apples and there are very good for our digestion!

      @@NutritionRefined I'm sure it's more fun shooting the videos than it is to edit, but you always achieve just the right mood and tempo for each recipe and I always love you choice of music. I have a suggestion for a recipe.....how about a vegan version of roasted corn and pablano cream soup??

    Looks delicious! Do you think I could use mashed dates instead of coconut oil to make the flour stick together and perhaps that way omit the coconut sugar?

      @@dubaiguy86 YES, please give us the results. I personally omit oil from my diet, except for Petra's recipes, so I would LOVE to continue enjoying her recipes sans the oil.

    How about arrowroot powder for starch, and walnuts instead of pecans? Will that work well?
    Thanks for your recipes, they have saved me from dying of starvation.

      NutritionRefined I follow it loosely. I try to keep my carbs low but I do eat fruits bc I believe they have valuable phytonutrients. Although I do eat them in moderation. I hope you had a great thanksgiving!!

    Kuju is not available here in India, Secondly I am on lowfodmap & apple is not allowed.In rhis recipes too mant apples .could I replace apple ?

    It looks over delicious. But I see that vegans eat nuts, nuts milk, coconut in all varieties and that's all? And I wonder how do you wash or prepare the nuts for using them? These products are from different countries and must not been sterilized before getting into the pack.
