Thanks to all of the amazing people who did everything they could to help!!!
Landed with his wheels down. Always use check lists.
The community quickly jumping in to help was so important and I’m so glad they did!
wheels were down on the floats
Praying for this pilot yo recover well from this.
Praying for you all
I used to live on the puget sound and saw a sailboat flip over multiple times in high winds.
I once lived in Muleshoe (TX) and saw a rabbit jump over a puddle.
Question why are the landing wheels down on water landing
The wheels shouldn't be down for a water landing.
I just read that the pilot passed away. RIP
Welp, I could never be an accident investigator. Here I am at first looking at the thumbnail thinking "that doesn't look crashed" not even seeing that the entire wings are gone.
🙏🏻❤️😇

No one over 60 should be flying planes....
The FAA has certain medical requirements for pilots to fly. They must get periodical checkups by FAA approved physicians. One can only speculate (based on the photos) that this pilot had the landing gear extended when they should have been retracted. Again this is only speculation.
@@erikk77 Either way. Old people shouldn't be flying planes. Especially a 74 year old.
Age is just a number. Know when to quit flying without another qualified pilot next to you. 5 minute flight, one mistake.
@@marcob2137That is age discrimination. Obama gave us that.
Young and old crash amphibs 🤔🇨🇦
