Im such a fan of Melanie’s videos, I make these every year. This year I’ll say a prayer for you while I crochet 🕯thank you Melanie
Your Pumpkin is looking very beautiful and gorgeous 😍 that is why I pray that I will be able to finish crocheting my Pumpkin all so
Love it in white. Super easy and affordable to make elegant. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for keeping your beginners in mind. I am so intimidated by amigurimi. I have made a couple things, but they didn't come out right, and I was so frustrated. I love your workaround! 💕
YAY!!!! I watched this last nite and made 2 today. One big white and a smaller orange......going tomorrow to find gold yarn to make one more . It was so easy to make your instructions were perfect..Thank you !
Excited to try this! Going to make a black and white pumpkin duo!
cute!
ScorpioCat I was thinking about doing some black ones for Halloween, too!
Yay just started crocheting a blanket with your tutorials, but now I'm gonna put that on hold to make some pumpkins because they are just soo cute. Thank you for making so easy to understand for us beginners. :)
Thank you Melanie, we are missing you. Rest well Sweet Girl.
oh my! seen it, loved it, made it!!! your such an awesome teacher, please continue....
Love the color of the gray yarn and your nails!
aww thanks!
Absolutely love this pattern an have fell in love with how they come out when i make them.
I love this and a Christmas stocking would be great.
this is such a great and cute idea! I have never crocheted, but this maybe my first project! Thank you so much
I used this very easy to follow tutorial and I went to family Halloween party and used colors to fit each of the people who I made them for. an example, my daughter is a Raider's fan so I made grey, lbs and white pumpkins. they were a hit!
Great tutorial! I love how you explain/ point out the little details that could potentially trip up newbees 🙂
love this! I've tried other patterns and they are hard or more time consuming! I'm doing yours! thanks!
You're very easy to listen to and follow. As a frustrated beginner, it would be so helpful to actually see the label with the specs of the yarn. I've bought a few different types and weights but they never seem to be the kind of yarn needed for a specific tutorial/video. Thanks!
Thank you so much your last two video"s helped me so much, on the mistakes I was making as a beginner and the type of yarn I have been using keep the video's coming .
These are precious, Melanie! You're so adorable and crafty :)
Thank you Donata!
Thank you so much! Love these pumpkins! 🎃
Thanks so much for this pattern! Perfect Halloween project ideal for beginners 👍🎃
very good lesson and a very pretty pumpkin!
I wonder if you could make a snowman using this style lol I'm gonna try!
OMG! Melanie I'm dying! I've gotta make these!!!!!!!!! Thank you to the heavens!!!!- Amanda
I used this tutorial and my pumpkin came out great! I'm now making a smaller 2nd one to match! 😄🎃
Thank you oh so much, I'm straight new in creating little crochet beauties arimguruim was my first start I didn't know it was tough to do but I'm willing to learn so I'm taking my time with it.. Your video is delightful and understanding of to work along.. I thank you again.
Adorable! I'm going to try making these.
Great tutorial. Thanks for the detailed explanations.
Love these!!!! These are colors im doing in my living room!
Really cute pumpkins, Melanie.
Great project and well explained. ...thanks for sharing
Great idea and they are so cute!
Love your video can't wait to try it. Side note love your nails!
thank you so much for this pattern
Loved this pumpkin pattern. What do you use to attach the leaf or little beads?
I love this!!! thanks so much!
Loved this! You should do a Christmas stocking tutorial!!
So stinkin cute! Thank you!
Thank you Melanie.
I totally love your manicures!! Very very simple but so pretty!! Do u do acrylic or gel manicures!!??!!
These are adorable! Thank you for this tutorial!
This could also be an apple and you could make one for a gift for your kids teacher.
If u do a regular double crochet in the first and last stitch ur edges will be straight...so don't go in the back loops on ur first and last stitch.
thanks for this. I have some lovely chunky wool that wpuld be perfect for this and I've been looking for something to do with it!
So cute gotta make one lol
Absolutely fabulous!!
I have some fabric fall leaves doing nothing, I might give it a try.
I love colors !
bye ♥
love this. x
Great video
Love this! What are the dimensions of the rectangle grey pumpkin?
I loved tank you
Love this so much, thank you!! Gonna try this tomorrow (: how many stitches was the little mustard colored pumpkin?
18 stitches ;)
Idk what I did, but when I crocheted in the back loop it was still flat. 😫 I loved this vid tho!!
Wow! Thats a cute simple but Beautiful project! Love it! I would love to hear your thoughts about stuffing... I've heard that more is more, that you have to push hard to insert as much stuffing as possible... But sometimes i feel like to much stuffing is affecting the shape , especially when it comes to amigurumi! But with uses, the stuffing mignt get flatter... So what's best?
Well, these aren't going to be getting too much use, it depends on what it will be used for. I stuffed the grey one too much and took some out before finishing it up ;)
+Melanie Ham Thanks! i guess you have to trust your feeling when it comes to amigurumi / for a doll or a toy! :P
this is so adorable. How many stitches was the little yellow one? It's just so dang cute
18 ;)
Melanie Ham
I wish I could do this... so many attempts at granny squares turning out like circles! lol!
If possible easier is always better to me, especially if the result is still cute ;) Accessible to more people :)
What was the starting chain for the gray color one?
can you show how to do the lemon peel crochet pattern in a blanket?
What type of yarn was used for the gray pumpkin? I have made a couple pumpkins and the stuffing came be seen within the stitches so I was wondering if that’s normal.
Super cute!! What size yarn were you using for the gray pumpkin? I'm assuming a 5? Thanks!! :*
+Jami Patrick
The grey is your standard worsted weight size 4 yarn. This one is Big Twist but it's similar to Red Heart Super Saver or Vannas Choice :)
Thank you!!
Can you tell me how many rows your doing ?
Is there a reliable substitute for the pillow stuffing if you don't have any?
You could use old panty hose if you happen to have any.
I heard the you can use scrap yarn to stuff things!
What about plastic grocery sacks? Could be a great way to repurpose those.
haha last time I had a hankering for a certain project I ripped open an old pillow
Ah yes, I also made a lovely (big) pumpkin but can see stuffing, still looks good but won’t make same mistake again.
where did you get the mustard colored yarn from?
It's a lion brand yarn, I got it at my local joanns
what kind of yarn are you using in the demonstration
+Fruit Salad the white is Bernat Softee Chunky size 5 yarn
About how many inches is your rectangle
about 10 inches wide by 19 ;)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I am a beginner and this goes too fast for me even at the beginning
Even with a lavender hook, white yarn with a white background...that's a no-no. For those w/vision challenges, it does not work at all.
I understand what you are saying, I'll be sure to choose a different color next time.
I have vision challenges, and I could see it okay.
Yvonne Hurlbert not all low vision is identical; even well sighted folks appreciate good contrast, especially for detailed tutorials
I am doing that punkin but it looks like she doesn't know what's she is doing
Would like to have it written out is that possible
