15:31 I've been on twitter for years and I have NEVER seen bts army do this. ever. not once. My entire timeline is exclusively armytwt and I never see any random fancams. What I in fact HAVE seen is kpop stans spamming random videos of kpop groups that are NOT bts - and locals then, because they only know bts, assume that it's them. We have been attacked countless of times because of kpop stans, even though bts fans and them don't get along and are not associated with each other.
It makes me sad that we get blamed for things we have nothing to do with just because people see a group of asian men and immediately go "that's bts". It's a bit like blaming Ariana Grande fans for something Justin Bieber fans do, it makes no sense whatsoever.
add: We were once harassed on twitter for MONTHS by masses of soccer fans that got into a fight with the fans of kpop group NCT. We had nothing to do with it, but they didn't know who that group was, so they went on to insult bts and bts army instead. It was really, really bad.
yeah i see your point.. i have been on twitter for years and i do remember a few times that BTS would take over hashtags... usually for good but its irelevant anyways. the toxic fans are always the loudest... there is a thing we say in hospitality industry: If a customer has a bad experience he will tell 20 people if he has a great experience he will tell 3 people
and thats how things like this grow... but yeah its very common to just see kpop and think bts straight away without knowing who it really is
@@AggressivelySweet I think overtaking hashtags for a good cause is a different topic! yes they have done that a couple of times (I particularly remember that for white supremacist/racist tags and things like that). Sometimes locals even asked us to do that, but that's really not something we do every day.
And I absolutely agree with you, the toxic minority is always the loudest.. Even if 0,01% of our fanbase is toxic, that still seems like a lot of people to others because we're such an incredibly big fandom. People are often surprised at how much charity and good things we do, because stuff like that are just not talked about.
Another trend I've seen in the last few years is haters cosplaying as bts fan accounts to post the most vile stuff imaginable and get even more people to hate us - and sad to say, it works in most cases and it will continue to work. (I have even kept screenshots as receipts because some find it hard to believe how many times this has happened already)
I'm also always surprised about BTS, they simply changed the music industry in my view.
And it's true, our fandom is diverse.
I am from Latin America and I'm a doctor with a master's degree in administration (so yeah I'm old) that my free time I enjoy this type of content. Be an ARMY Is a great thing tho...

12:40 - Suga wrote Telepathy, and they dress based on theme, and they each have their own taste in clothes. J Hope is a bit quirky, but I like his style.
14:45 - I always wonder why people have those preconcieved ideas of what a boy band (or girl band) represents. I even had my own preconcieved ideas, and I like groups like NSync, Backstreet boys, and Spice Girls. I am happy when people can get past the stereotypes. 💜
16:40 - If your friends are telling you to check them out, that might be a clue that they are big. They are not afraid to address social issues, like the South Korean school system, mental health, the class system in South Korea, the Sewol Ferry incident, and Global issues, Bullying, Self Love, Black Lives Matter, Asian Hate. They don't shy away from it, from the very beginning. They got a lot of hate for it. Over 90 million fans globally and rising, there must be a reason.
If you react together again you should totally show him the rap lines solo stuff, rap line tracks and the cypher series 😊 loved the open-mindedness!

One of BTS` main messages is to break stereotypes that can hurt people, and that's a genuine message, who they really are. That's why they don't always look like what "you'd expect" or try to mold themselves to others tastes. They are just who they are and incredibly talented.

This is just a medley of their B side songs they’ve released on albums throughout the years in order. They have the most diverse discography because they have members who are vocalists and then 3 rappers too. This is why the fandom is so varied. We all have different tastes (I generally only listened to indy rock and old school hip hop and hated pop music before getting into BTS). There are fans with varied favorite genres so they have something that appeals to every age demographic and the fandom has grown so big because of this. I wish people who are biased against “boyband music” would give them a chance and not just develop an impression of them based on the first song they happen to listen too and don’t vibe with.
Can’t wait for you to react to music videos and performances for their rapline songs on both bts albums and those on their own individual mixtapes. Highly recommend Daetchwita music video by Agust D (SUGA’s alter ego) and Interlude: Shadow music video his solo on a BTS album. The music videos have insane production values and the lyrics are 🔥🔥🔥. Then the music videos by RM and Jhope..they each have a different rap style and different flows.

I primarily listened to indie and bluegrass before getting into Korean Music and BTS. Hahaha I love the variety. It is one of the big draws for me.
Not knowing what to expect is a great way to go into BTS, they have an insane discography (practically have covered all genres at this point)
You should check out 'Outro: Tear', while the song reads like a love song, Suga actually wrote it when the guys were contemplating disbandment. He said he played it for the other members after and they all broke down
Well I know the fans can be a little overwhelming especially the new ones but please don’t let that stop you from enjoying their music.
They are genuinely passionate about music, they love to learn and grow. They didn’t just come to be, didn’t just became popular they had a very tough journey. And because of that their fans tend to be very overprotective and almost everywhere trying to promote them. You know now only they are getting the media buzz it wasn’t like that before, it was always the fans and their own channels promoting them.
And them being mentioned at games like basketball is because some of them are very interested in those and their songs gets played at the games, they go to watch etc.
It’s okay to not love their music (which is rare cuz you’ll find at least one song you like. They experiment with many genres) cuz tastes are different. All that matters is trying them at least once. Thank you for your reaction.

The Chainsmokers are dear friends of BTS and one of the first western artists to actually pay them their dues, they ended up writing and producing Best of Me on Love Yourself: Her back in 2017. BTS actually made an appearance at the Chainsmoker's concert (the day before the album dropped) in Seoul and performed Closer with them.
Looking forward to more reaction of BTS for them. Their discography is super eclectic, you'll def in for a ride!

I can finally watch this tomorrow! Can't wait. Our electricity and internet are finally restored. I really missed watching BTS contents and your BTS reactions! I have to go watch all the contents I have missed for almost a month being inactive.
Duuuude im so happy u got the internet back. I used to live in a house without electricity during summer time till i was 13. It was loads of fun BUT now i dont think i could do it i have gone soft. Glad u guys are safe and u got ur power back. Hope all is well
@@AggressivelySweet It was no fun for me. I have to save my phone battery when using it as flashlight at night. I have to sleep in a very hot room, fanning myself to sleep. I have to go to the office even on dayoff just to charge our gadgets. We have to pay a dollar for every gallon of washing water because we have no water connection after the typhoon. We have to save water when washing our clothes. We have to buy ice for 10 dollars just to have cold water to drink. All prices went super high. Gasoline stations were packed. We have to line up for hours and some didn't even get fuel after lining up the entire day. It was horrible but still glad we made through it. I was able to spend time talking with my family instead of surfing the net all day. Still blessed than others who got their homes all wrecked. Others even lost their lives. Still thankful I didn't experience any worse. Now, I can finally go back to my usual routine. 😁 Can't wait for tomorrow. 💜

when new people react to old bts I think its important to note that songs like save me not today etc. are older songs based on what was popular back then like edm that's why he said chain smokers no one will come for you though its just the genre of music and bts love to explore different genres.

BTS are friends/know The Chainsmokers and have collaborated with them before. The song “Best of Me” which was part of their set list for the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour in 2019.
You didn't saw even 10% of their lyrics. Rm is known as best lyricist in world for his incredible wordplay lyrics.

before i ignored bts and other kpop contents.i never tried to listen because i was thinking,i was too busy for these.but maybe i was really fated to listen to bts coz i accidentally heard dynamite and i love the vibes,and i dont know it was them.they are not like what i was thinking.i was very wrong.i started got really hooked into them when i first listen Save Me in their tiny desk concert...and now,bts is part of my life,of my living.before, i just listened music,thats it but with bts,i really gave time to dig into their lyrics and music production.its more than just listening,its all about understanding and putting your heart into their music.bts are not just simply singing their songs,they are delivering a message as a protagonists of their own masterpieces.

I don’t know what to think when Nelson says, some songs are not my style but then he’s dancing and jammin to all songs
Since the Korean war the people in South Korea have adopted a lot of English words and phrases. Whether you listen to their music or watch their Korean dramas you will hear a lot of English. You could be watching the subtitles trying to follow the story then suddenly they say a entire sentence in English..... that shocked me the first time that happened. The Leader of the group is fluent in English. He learned English from watching the Friends sitcom. They are all trying to improve their English. I seen their debut in 2013 and was hooked on them from the start. I felt strongly that they would be very successful and I was right. Suga writes the most music, RM comes 2nd but all of them have became great songwriters. They teach each other what they excel in and these guys work extremely hard to be perfect in all they do. I don't think anyone has ever come close to having the success of them. They are Dynamite!
RM has written more songs than Suga. Suga has produced more songs than RM. You mixed it up.

I thank you for updating me on the changes since 4 years ago. The video I got my information from was, "Who is BTS? : The Seven Members of Bangtan (Introduction) Suga & Spice May 23, 2018" at about 9:35 minutes RM said, "I was really shocked at Suga three days ago. One song a month. This is a lot of work for me. I asked him how many songs do you compose and he says, (Suga) "I think one song a day at least." (RM) "I think it's Suga 365 songs in a year." (Suga) "Not that many, about 200 songs 300 songs? 9:57. So this is what I based my statement from.

There are some army who are very toxic but most of us are super nice and friendly, we of course would get defensive because of the prejudice and amount of hate that bts face. Army love reactors who come into bts with an open mind, and show genuine interest in them and their music. So even if there are tracks you don't like, you can say so as long as you remain respectful...
yeah i explained it to him... i have ALOT of bts reactions where i honestly did not like the songs or the music videos or parts of the performances and people where very understanding about it :D

Thanks for opening someone else up to BTS. If Gravy likes rap, then I would recommend that you have him listen/react to "Joke" by RM and "Augst D" and "So Far Away" by Agust D/Suga as well. If he's really into lyrics, he'd probably love those and you may love them as well.
If you want to see more of BTS I would recommend to watch their dance practice videos for all songs to see their awesome choreos in full and after watch a live performance or the MV of same song. I recommend Fire, Dope, Bapsae, Mic drop, Fake love, Black Swan and ON- kinetic manifesto.

Outro: Tear is one of my ult faves but it always hits hard. The lyrics were written at a time when BTS was considering disbanding and the title refers to both tear (as in teardrop) as well as tear (ripping apart). The fact that their wardrobe does not really correspond with the genre they might be singing at a particular time is one of the things I love about them the most, and the thing is they truly are very fashion-oriented, they do use clothes to showcase parts of their personality, but is not the #1 thing for them. Their music, their sound, their message are what matter the most to them and I respect that so much.

I found out about BTS music n start to listen to them end last year and yeahhhhh before this I also thought they just 7 perfect boy that being group tgether to create delusional n fantasy because of their Kpop bckground. but then i realised they way more than that. they so passionate about music n try to deliver positive message to their fans ARMY...it's seems unfair on how we being skeptical about them based on their popularity without listening to their music first. Both of you should react to Agust D (suga of bts) The Last because it not only shows his rap skills but how open they get with serious topics like struggling mental health. Its great that your friend likes conscious rap, because a lot BTS songs discuss real issues. For example that song Ugh, while being a banger, discusses anger itself and how anger can be used to create change but instead too often is wasted on nonsense.
i have reacted to ugh in 3 different videos and read the doolset explanations on it its a fantastic song... Agust D is my next step on the BTS timeline cant wait for more... i have uploaded 71 bts reactions to this day xD its alot :D

Interesting when you said on 'Save Me' that the beat is similar to The Chainsmokers. Because then BTS made a continuation of the song, 'I'm Fine' which have the hand of DJ Swivel on it. He help some of Chainsmokers song, so the vibe is familiar.
