I bought another 1880 silver Morgan for $32 bucks last night. I honestly got 177 of them and when this one gets here I'll have 178 1800s Morgan's and I got 4 flowing hair silver dollars which was in my great great grandfathers silver n gold hoard. I ended up with over 17,000 ozs of fine silver and a ton of old silver dollars the newest one I got out his hoard is 1890.. and I been buying silver dollars and bars and rounds mainly 1oz and 10oz bars and 1oz n 2oz rounds and gold I do it mainly in 2.5 grams to 1 oz.. and I do have 4 kilo silver bars I bought on my 18th bday. I love silver more than any other metal.
Love Morgan Dollars. In my opinion, it's a beautiful coin no matter what grade it's in.

Something else not mentioned about the Morgan 8TF is the Arrow Bundle ! The ERROR in the upper Quiver Feather being even with the other Quiver Feathers is PARALELLE ?instead of angled upward : to promote the arrow in the Arrow Bundle pointing downward.
Check your coins for this ERROR.
You will see most Morgans struck do not have this ERROR But on this particular Morgan on the obverse of most Morgans struck that year, if you zoom in below the eight tail feathers the Arrow’s upper Quiver is facing the wrong direction?
Did Couch overlook this ?
Did PCGS also overlook this ERROR when identifying this Morgan Silver Dollar? And Did the Buyer pay $35,000 knowing this 1878 has this error on the coin.
Would it have increased the coin’s value?

IHAVE 3 DOLLAR ONE TRAD DOLLAR 1873 AND ONE DOLLAR INDEAN HEAD 1850 AND ONE 1885 HOW MUCH IT COST .
I’ve got an 1880 o very similar to ms 65. Or 65 plus Liberty is clearly visible on obverse. Hair detail is all present The breast feathers are visible as are the tail feathers. My understanding is there were no actual proof Morgan’s out of the New Orleans Mint & all were straight to circ hence the bag marks. I took some pictures of it at 10x magnification. I do not have the discerning eye of an experienced collector so everything I’ve said would need to be verified by a professional. If you have any suggestions or would like to see it let me know. Great channel btw. Ive learned a lot.

Don't worry, you'll get to that point. Keep in mind that when you do start collecting silver dollar, you need to watch out for Chinese counterfeits.

@@jamesanderson2598, no problem. Past few years, the problem of Chinese counterfeits has become worse as the Chinese have started making more deceiving counterfeits. Definitely keep up with updates in that situation. Happy hunting.
Good afternoon. Sir I have one morgan dollar 1799. I want to sell it..
This is really neat to know... like I said I have alot of these coins mainly from my great great grandfather. And other coins I got include the flowing hair silver dollars which 3 of em came from my GT Gt grandfather the 4th I found here in Madison County NC on our farm when I went metal detecting and it's in really good shape. Other than semi tarnished from being in the ground for well over 100 yrs most likely. But apparently there is a bunch of silver coins buried here a man used to make his own silver coins which where 999% pure silver which is how he got caught because they weighed more than normal but he was making Morgan's 😆 🤣 but Also bars and gold. We do have a Gold mine on the property which still has a good amount of gold in it but it's dangerous to go down into it anymore the old tree trunk beams are rotted you touch em the crumble. But we have found good size quartz with gold in them and the creek which is called Shelton laurel creek has gold in it and we found some there and a few ppl found some. A guy that was fishing upstream found a 4 oz nugget sitting in a Crack in a bolder and he wasn't even looking for any he just walked out to fish n looked down n seen a yellow rock n he picked it up and it was heavy and metal lol. But yeah man I'm on the hunt to find the buried silver here on the property we got a old diary that said he buried it all here when he got caught to keep the Government from taking it.. and apparently it's in what's now our main cow field.. which is 400 acres itself.... so gotta alot of searching lol

Do all Morgan's have 8 over 7 and 7 tail feathers, and 8 tail feathers in each date or is it only certain dates?

@@tbstacker7260 All Morgan dollars have 7 tail feathers, with the exception of the first year ever made: 1878. However, only SOME of the 1878s had 8 tailfeathers. Most had 7 and every other year coin has 7.

Pcgs is the most recognized grading company. I bellies like 30 or so dollars to get a coun graded. I could be wrong.

Those CC mint Morgans are game changers. It's becoming harder to tell the replicas from the real ones, though.

That '80/79 is worth more money, because it was graded twice once by pcgs & later by cac. That always jumps the price a lot! Also the fact of it being a high grade helps the fact, besides the mintage factor! Great video. Take it easy, shawn!

I have and 1889 O mint Mark and a 1884 no mint mark are they worth anything?
The 1889-o is worth $30 in VF-20 & in MS64 is worth $750 over 11 million were made n the 1884 no mint mark is worth $30 in VF-20 & in MS 64 a $100 there were over 14 million were made. I have the RED BOOK 2021 USA coun guide. I recommend It is show grades , prices, from 1 cent to Morgan's ,kennedy's American silver eagles , proof sets, must have for coin collectors. I hope that helped.
