- Here, we see a demonstration of the Fisher model 3582 valve positioner, disconnected from the valve. This way, it is a bit easier to see the interaction of the input and feedback mechanisms, specifically how each affects the baffle/nozzle gap.
I'm currently a year 2 mechatronics student at BTC!! I found one of these in our trash bin and I've been cleaning it up and playing with it, and look what I stumble upon in researching it! If you are who I think you are, we used your EE textbooks and coursework last year and it was really good! o7
@BuilderRoss You are very welcome. It's really hard to find any kind of explanatory tutorial -- video or otherwise -- for free on the internet. I decided about a year ago to start posting short videos to RUclips for my students, and so far the response from people all over the world has been really positive.
wow this takes me back to when i was 16 i love this valve positioner! kids now days would die if they had to set one up lol
Good video explanation of the operation concept of the 3582.
I have to be honest. That is 1% of what you need to know. I took that class being doing control valves for 12 years and I wasted my money going to that program.
Para min este posionador é o melho que ja Vi p/ se trabalhar mecanicamente adorei um abraço.
Great Explanation
Thank-you sir👍
Much thanks great video.
excellent documentation
EXCELLENT JI 🙏🙏
nice explanation
I would like, that this video tutorial was in Spanish, but little understand English. if you can download it in Spanish I would appreciate.
Thanks And keep doing these tutorials that help much. Ney Wilberto
Please I have question
Positioner XL90 is it electronic positioner or pneumatic positioner?
hey you have explained very good but i have one doubt in direct acting when bellows inflates it moves the flapper down and trying to valve open then flappers goes back to same position..so if flapper goes back to same position there is no back pressure so how it restrict the valve open then
Very nice video thanks for that but how to calibrate the positioner please explain
Great video, thanks. You mentioned at the beginning that the "brass bellow" is connected to the I/P? Are you sure about an I/P? As there is no transducer, as you are not converting any signals here.
it doesn't have to be an I/P BK2. the input to the positioner just has to be an air signal. However, if you're using an electronic controller then you have to convert the signal at some point. I believe Fisher also makes a model of this positioner which integrates an I/P converter on the unit.
Thanks for the illustration, nice video. I am having a problem with same model of positioner at work, how do you know the flapper default setting, I mean the default gap space at 0 of the flapper.
Question? How are non linear trims on control valve compensated for with a model 3582 positioner?
The feedback would come from the cam on the actuator lever.
I have been asked in work to find out about the P setting on a fisher positioner, apparently its something to do with setting up the feedback arm, does anyone know anything about it?
Este posicionador es el mejor sirve para colocar su acción de la válvula aire para cerrar o siete para abrir o escalonado y rango dividido
Hi there,really interesting..
Do you have any Fisher 6010 positioner videos? I had a problem with one of those the other day.
Contrario para un Smart no sirve si se daña labobina
Y ya se encuentra con transductor
Does anyone know where I can find tips and or steps to calibrate the positioner having real trouble with it? Please
the fisher 3582 manual has all the necessary procedures, albiet difficult to follow and understand if you dont already have pre-existing knowledge of the positioner. www.emerson.com/documents/automation/instruction-manual-fisher-3582-3582i-positioners-582i-electro-pneumatic-converter-3583-valve-stem-position-transmitter-en-124114.pdf
lol ..its was so easy to install and calibrate..
ok
Mony given
