Hope Award, Contemporary Ballet, YAGP Dallas 2015, Kali Kleiman "I Never Saw Another Butterfly"

Hope Award winner, Kali Kleiman with Choreography from Jennifer Kaiser and coached by Jacqueline Porter of The Dallas Conservatory. Inspired by the childrens book "I Never Saw Another Butterfly" a collection of works of art and poetry by Jewish children who lived in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, from 1942-1944. The works were created in a secret art class taught by an Austrian artist and educator, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis. Most of the children were deceased prior to the camp being liberated.
