Walmart Fly Tying Challenge

In this video I try to tie up some flies using materials from the Walmart craft section! Fly tying is a wonderful hobby, but sometimes sourcing materials can be expensive or difficult. In this challenge I source most of my main materials from Walmart and only use basic tools and techniques. Expect a future video taking my Walmart material flies out and doing a Fly Fishing Challenge!

You have to ignore the negative comments. Tying flies and different patterns isn't easy.
I've been tying flies for years. If there's one thing I've learned, the insect world isn't perfect either.

after seeing what you put together with material from Wal-Mart I no longer feel so bad when looking at my own creations...new to this and learning...lol

It is a learning process! Just stick with it and remember you don't need to dump money into the most expensive materials in every shade available. The Wal-Mart flies catch just as good as my more expensive ties. Good luck on your journey and tight lines!
