A perfect and informative interview. A deep bow to Benjamin Moser for bringing Clarice Lispector to my attention. His biography Why This World is one of the best biographies I've ever read. I've since bought and devoured all of Lispector's books. She is without a doubt a rare treasure ... unlike any author you will ever encounter.

칸트의 순수이성비판이나 헤겔의 정신현상학을 처음 대했을때의 느낌.. 거기에 싸르트르의 구토를 섞어 놓은.. 폴롯은 카프카의 변신을 흉내 낸 듯한.. 나이 오십이 넘고보니 삶은 그리 의미가 많이 필요하지 않은 것이 진실였다.. 작가는 존재에 너무 많은 의미를 부여해서 진리를 6천자나 앞서 가버린 느낌 그래서 자기만의 세계에 갇혀버린.. 읽으면서 내내 안타까웠다 그는 내가 아는한 가장 행복한 사람이거나 가장 불행한 사람이다..
