- This vlog is about me moving to a new city to begin a new journey in Chuncheon, South Korea. I honestly felt so relieved to leave my dormitory at Ewha Womans University and move in with my Korean fiancé. I am in love with my new city. As a black woman living in South Korea, I always question whether I will be received well in different cities. Thankfully, living in Chuncheon has been nothing but a positive experience so far. And yeah I like Seoul because it’s defo more vibrant than Sejong but I do agree it’ can be stressing and overwhelming there. My favorite city is Daejeon tho, for real Daejeon is so underrated 😅

I'm not sure what debit card you use, but it's available to use debit card when you take a bus and subway as well. It's very rare for korean to use tmoney in Chuncheon. I guess your card had problem. Anyway welcome again. Hope you enjoy Chuncheon life😀

I understand why you would move out of Seoul. Coming from the south of the US and then moving to Seoul was a lot! It still is, but I work in public schooling so...
I’m Canadian but was raised in the south of the US (Florida) for my entire childhood so I understand your pain 😭. A public school job in Seoul is so coveted so I totally get why you’re staying there

Hi. Sometimes, there are part time jobs posted on a Facebook page Foreigners Living in Chuncheon. There should also be jobs postings advertised on your future university’s website.

hi 👋🏽 I was curious about renting an apartment and cost. I'm now starting to look up chuncheon and KNU. It's not as popular as seoul so I'm having a little trouble looking up rent prices and what to expect for key money.
It really depends on the area but the standard deposit for a one room is between 3,000,000 -5,000,000 KRW ( around $3,000-5,000 USD). Monthly ranges from 350,000-550,000 a month ($350-550 USD). I hope this helps ♥️
