      We need USB-type C with Display port 2.1 protocole. And not a old DP1.4 cable with USB cable (mandatory for energy and data) and Compression (DSC).
      But this device will prefer an autonomous WiFi mode with ton of compression due to the bad performance of decoding of the XR2+
      Quality picture can be very good IF only they add a capable chipset in this device (unlike Quest3), but it means bigger power consumption and additional cost to compensate the Qualcomm's chipset weakness.
      and remember that they've great displays, but we don't know the real resolution rendered by XR2+....(well below the AVP's chipset)in stand alone mode...
      Their specifications shows clearly the difference between the display resolution and the lower rendered resolution in autonomous mode, the greatest results would be with the power of a PC of course.

    This is truly an amazing device. From your words - more comfortable and better weight distribution (this is important during long exercises). You offered them two different devices:
    1) Morning/MR
    2) PCVR.
    This is a cool and good idea))) A good strategy for increasing sales and the number of consumers. For some it’s the first, for others it’s the second)) I’m a sailor, and to relax in my free time at sea I only need AM/MR devices. For playing at home - PCVR. Believe me, I will buy both))
    I'm glad to see this nice prototype. It’s very nice that I can charge via cable directly from any power supply (battery, 220 W charging adapter with a long cable). If this device has a simple strap without any power at the back, that's fine too. A good choice for watching movies on the bed, while the headset battery will not bother you, all that remains is the strap at the back + the power cable connection.
    I will wait for news about this device (PCVR capabilities)
    Bigg, thank you))

    Am personally waiting for a headset with bigger fov as the resolution of current headsets is good enough but we need to increase fov from an average minuscule 110 degrees to increase immersion- I always feel I’m peering into a virtual world through a pair of goggles as opposed to being in one.

      I guess, I'd be able to use it for a few hours (especially with a 3rd party/DIY custom face cushion which suits my face a tad more) without topstrap; but honestly for my use cases I'd see no reason not to do a top strap myself, if not available out of the box :) Some piece of cloth would be totally servicable (like I did for Pimax Crystal in my recent videos).

    Unless they are able to TOP or EQUAL the Vision Pro eye tracking navigation then this will not be better.
    The resolution on the Vision Pro is already overkill. More pixel are not going to make this better. The reason the AVP was praised was because of how intuitive it felt to use. The navigation felt effortless and natural.
    The entire demo i saw you with controllers and looked very tacky. I am glad is cheaper and has nice resolution for the price and is lighter. ALL VALID IMPROVEMENTS. But saying its better is nonsense imho specially from an unfinished product.

    • @GanJJGames
      @GanJJGames  28 дней назад

      I agree, they still need to put a lot of work into this one to be able to compete with AVP in terms of usability. As I stated multiple times - it's a prototype, not a finished product; so the final judgement can be delivered only after it's officially finished and can be properly tested.
      My message is more in line with "the potential of this prototype is really high, and the hardware is already on par with AVP, which means with a decent software it'd be a great addition to a current VR market".
      Feel free to check timestamps and video description for my actual comments, I stated there very clearly why do I think it's already better (and more interesting for me as a personal purchase, than AVP).

      @@GanJJGames If Apple releases the NONE PRO Apple Vision with the same price as this one…. Its OVER for these guys but we’ll see.
      Maybe this one will have better resolution and games… but the Apple Vision connects with Macbooks by looking at them. The Software from Apple is effortless and user friendly, you can’t beat that with hardware.

    • @GanJJGames
      @GanJJGames  27 дней назад

      Well, "OVER" is a stretch. After all, Play For Dream never tried to outshine Apple, since the scale of those 2 companies is simply different. They are just doing what they can, tapping into the niche of the market yet not taken care of.
      Me personaly - I'm absolutely not a fan of the whole Apple ecosystem. I've been an Iphone user for ~5 years and Mac for ~8. And I hated it every time I couldn't do the thing I wanted and needed to. Android allows it, Apple ecosystem - does not. Therefore, while I'm not a fan of Meta as a corporation, I'd choose Quest 3 over Apple Vision Pro any day due to Quest 3 being an Android device, which I can set up and tune to my liking (and which is really hard to do with this locked up AVP Vision OS).
      So, is Apple big for a reason? Absolutely.
      Are there many people, which will appreciate PCVR support, Android flexibility, controllers for gaming out of the box? You bet, I'm one of them.

    uff looks terrible O.o The virtual objects don't stay in place when you move your head, but instead move and move with you. The aquarium (virtually) is supposed to be at the back of the wall, but when you wave your hands in front of it, your hands are suddenly BEHIND the aquarium, which is supposedly BACK ON THE WALL.

    • @GanJJGames
      @GanJJGames  22 дня назад +1

      You are correct, there were 2 issues present:
      1. Virtual objects were drifting sometimes (not always though). Apparently, some spatial anchors were still to be fixed.
      2. Hand occlusion wasn't working during the demo. Still to be tested after actual product release.
      So, something to be polished until release date, but isn't "impossible to fix". I'm definitely interested in testing the finished product again closer or the release date.

      People needs are different. If you are already a heavy Apple user (iphone, Mac, ipad, apple watch etc.) then nothing really will integrate better with all of it than Apple themselves. For me personally though Apple's lack of freedom, lack of tunability and flexibility is a no go. I'm also a PC VR user, so an Android headset which provides PC VR support and decent controllers out of the box (good luck with playing proper VR games with hand and eye tracking only ) is waaaay more useful than AVP without controllers, without android and without native PC VR.
      As for Play for Dream MR - it's still a prototype, work in progress. I'll give them a benefit of doubt with regards to eye and hand tracking. If they nail those 2 - it's really hard for me to choose AVP over PfD MR.

    why they steal the look of the vision pro is weird though it's not a good looking piece of hardware. apple hasn't really made good looking hardware in ages they still do what they did decade ago. it looks like a pair of sky goggles.
    not me thinking this either i watched someone do a month long stream in the vision pro in public and everyone called it sky goggles this was in europe a little after the launch of the vision pro. people don't like the way this thing looks.
