@@GanJJGames If Apple releases the NONE PRO Apple Vision with the same price as this one…. Its OVER for these guys but we’ll see. Maybe this one will have better resolution and games… but the Apple Vision connects with Macbooks by looking at them. The Software from Apple is effortless and user friendly, you can’t beat that with hardware.
Well, "OVER" is a stretch. After all, Play For Dream never tried to outshine Apple, since the scale of those 2 companies is simply different. They are just doing what they can, tapping into the niche of the market yet not taken care of. Me personaly - I'm absolutely not a fan of the whole Apple ecosystem. I've been an Iphone user for ~5 years and Mac for ~8. And I hated it every time I couldn't do the thing I wanted and needed to. Android allows it, Apple ecosystem - does not. Therefore, while I'm not a fan of Meta as a corporation, I'd choose Quest 3 over Apple Vision Pro any day due to Quest 3 being an Android device, which I can set up and tune to my liking (and which is really hard to do with this locked up AVP Vision OS). So, is Apple big for a reason? Absolutely. Are there many people, which will appreciate PCVR support, Android flexibility, controllers for gaming out of the box? You bet, I'm one of them.
"8K" screens. Only Chinese companies do this crap. You don't get to double the screen resolution because you use two screens and the pixel count is 8000 horizontally, that's not how this works.
It’s very common for VR headsets to be advertised with the total resolution. Meta and Sony both tote their devices as 4K even though the resolution for each eye is not 4K. Big screen beyond and the new Vive headset is advertised 5K even though the resolution of each eye is not 5K.
@@marvyrvygarvy408 what you are referring to is a different case than what Chinesium companies do. They'll take 4K per eye display (take Pimax 8KX) and market it as 8K OLED. If your don't see or understand the difference I can't help you.
@@carlosdominguez3108 Sony PSVR2 literally marketed as 4k on Sony’s website. Tell me is 2000x2040 4K? I don’t believe it is. Sony, Meta and Bigscreen Beyond can do it but if a Chinese company does it, it’s bad?
@@marvyrvygarvy408 Nice try again. If you combine 2 x 2000x2040 for VR, you get 4000x2040. 4K is 3840x2160. That is, in fact, close to 4K. Some of the vertical traded for horizontal. I would consider that fairly honest marketing. Unless they said 4K per eye. Now take Pimax for example, marketing 8K. Taking 2 x 4K panels side by side is 7680x2160. Not even close to 8K. Try again
I can only vouch for what I saw with my eyes :) The company is real, that prototype is real, they released headsets before. I hope they'll do alright with this one as well.
why they steal the look of the vision pro is weird though it's not a good looking piece of hardware. apple hasn't really made good looking hardware in ages they still do what they did decade ago. it looks like a pair of sky goggles. not me thinking this either i watched someone do a month long stream in the vision pro in public and everyone called it sky goggles this was in europe a little after the launch of the vision pro. people don't like the way this thing looks. the bigscreen beyond looks much better visually.
Bigscreen beyond has way less hardware inside though. But yeah, it's purely a taste preference. And, I guess, for Play for Dream it felt like a safe move to somewhat get inspired by AVP (since Apple is still setting visual trends, which China follows up with later on) than to make a mistake of coming up with something both unique and weird "retro sci-fi" looking :)
You sound very anti apple. Don't see anything here that seems better than the vp and I don't believe a couple hundred pixel will make a difference. You also didn't try the interface without controllers which is a no go for me.
People needs are different. If you are already a heavy Apple user (iphone, Mac, ipad, apple watch etc.) then nothing really will integrate better with all of it than Apple themselves. For me personally though Apple's lack of freedom, lack of tunability and flexibility is a no go. I'm also a PC VR user, so an Android headset which provides PC VR support and decent controllers out of the box (good luck with playing proper VR games with hand and eye tracking only ) is waaaay more useful than AVP without controllers, without android and without native PC VR. As for Play for Dream MR - it's still a prototype, work in progress. I'll give them a benefit of doubt with regards to eye and hand tracking. If they nail those 2 - it's really hard for me to choose AVP over PfD MR.
@@GanJJGames fair enough. I don't give benefit of doubt. You have to show me. Different people have different wants. The vp wasn't made for the video game beat saber warriors. It's made for those who want to consume basic content in a compelling way so more of a laptop /iPad replacement.
@@ralexand56yep, totally agree. My biggest gripe with AVP is that they could make it a standalone Mac, since it has M2 chip inside. But they chose to make standalone Ipad, which totally diminishes it's value for "all in heavy productivity users". If it'd be an XR Mac - the price of 3500usd would be quite acceptable.
@@ralexand56 In my opinion, the AVP was made for tech reviewers to promote (but not actually enjoy using) and Apple fans with excess disposable income to buy and end up not finding it useful.

Agreed. Additionally, there's nothing "pro" about iphone Pro, but here we are :) Marketing it is
It’s very common for VR headsets to be advertised with the total resolution.
Try again
another scam headset maybe>?
I can only vouch for what I saw with my eyes :) The company is real, that prototype is real, they released headsets before. I hope they'll do alright with this one as well.
@@GanJJGames I really hope we have a real headset this time, the kickstarter isn't a good way to promote a headset as most have been a scam.
why they steal the look of the vision pro is weird though it's not a good looking piece of hardware. apple hasn't really made good looking hardware in ages they still do what they did decade ago. it looks like a pair of sky goggles.
not me thinking this either i watched someone do a month long stream in the vision pro in public and everyone called it sky goggles this was in europe a little after the launch of the vision pro. people don't like the way this thing looks.
the bigscreen beyond looks much better visually.
@@Mr.N0.0ne I treat AVP as a dev kit for XR software and game developers. It'll become an actually nice apple XR device when gen2 of gen3 comes in a few years.
This guy says if it was $1,500 or a $2,000 that would be good lol hell no that would not be good who needs to be around 5-600 bucks
No, it needs to be 50 bucks
