Now let's see if they make the rare pull out animation for the skeleton knife the main pull out animation. Skeleton isn't used as much imo bc of the trash pull out. Most knives could use an animation overhaul honestly.
I agree the rare animation should just be the pullout considering its way better but I think the skeleton isn't used as much because of the limited amount of skins there are for it. You have a lot more options for skins with a bayonet or karambit. But for the skeleton knife all you have for high tier finishes are Fade, Slaughter, and blue gems, and crimson web/vanilla for mid tier. I think if they added a doppler skeleton knife it would be used so much more.
An animation overhaul could be used all across the game, if we're being honest-honest, lol

Imho the Bowie Knife is a solid A tier now. The reason why I don't consider it S tier is because on idle you still don't see the full right glove and when you're running you only see half the right glove. Similar to the Falchion knife where on idle you only see half the left glove and none of it while running. Don't get me wrong, it looks absolutely insane now especially for the price (even accounting for the inflation).
That would make the blade look smaller, imo its s tier and way better than m9

Its crazy that they fixed the main disadvantage of a knife released 8 years ago in a random update patch. It leaves me wondering if it was a genuinely planned update or just a bug fix operating on Valve Time.
I've always said that the Bowie is underrated. Its got an entire new animation set (no reused animations), a huge blade for Finish real estate, and doesn't suffer from unique problems like the nametag positioning on the Classic Knife or mismatched sounds on the Paracord Knife. And to top it all off its cheap too. But I suppose it might not be cheap going forwards now that all of its problems have been fixed.
I expect prices of the high-tier Bowie skins to spike for a bit, then come down after some hype. However, the high-tier finishes will retain most of the price increase since buyers of those skins are more likely to want to combo the knife with expensive gloves. Cheaper Bowie skins might get a value buff too, but nowhere near as much since most buyers at those lower price ranges probably aren't looking to combo it with gloves, so this update hasn't changed much for them.
I was planning to save for a budget Battle scared free hand bowie but Valve made them amazing, no longer being as budget as I wanted! But I am happy to those who got a chance to appreciate their bowie though!
On Skinbid you can catch a Freehand MW for literally 103€, ive seen one getting auctioned there for that price...

Bought a bowie phase 4 doppler last year (fake sapphire), couldn't be happier at the moment
The only problem with it now is that the knife hand is too zoomed in so you can't see the sleeve. It's the biggest knife in the game so it's not necessary.

Most bowie enjoyers I've talked to and met since the update hate this, including myself. I wish we got a toggle to remove the hand since it's a completely different animation style and quality that doesn't fit. Plus it's bugged and the left hand breaks every time you finish inspect.

I never understood the "you can't see one glove" whining.
I've been using gloves with bowie for forever and it's extremely noticeable which gloves you have at all times, because guess what, the right hand is the centerpiece where your gloves show off more. The knife NEVER obscured it.
It was just senseless whining from idiots that deluded themselves into thinking they can't flex as much with one hand, when you absolutely can.

There's nothing to look at BUT the centerpiece glove + knife combo rather than having one empty hand that's just... There.
Since Bowie knives went up in price significantly from that update, I assure you the community does prefer it, you and the few people that you spoke to do not represent the majority opinion here. The animations were fixed for the most part 16 hours after the update. “Said no body ever” I said it, since I’ve tested about 2000 Bowie combos at this point, and gloves are not more noticeable with 1 hand, it looked lopsided and tacky and any pattern based gloves were useless with Bowies before the update. While you call it “whining” having one hand was a massive issue for 99% of people considering that knife, and majority of Bowie users absolutely love this new change.
