i'm just dying to see angeal and genesis with their updated design with this cg quality, it'll make more sense than what they did with crisis core lol
Many of us are. Many forget that a good bit of Crisis Core was cut due to the expensive costs of the UMDs for the PSP when it was originally made which could only hold so much data.
I feel like Genesis is too tied to Gackt, so there may be no concert, if he's not up for it. It may be just Angeal and mentions of Genesis here and there. Or I may be mistaken and they'll actually include him, especially since he'd be teenage, not in his 20s/30s.
oh boy we finally get more Angeal content and looks like we are going to dive into Sephiroth's mind involving Hojo and what looks like possibly the early signs of his insanity.
Holy crap all I see is Sephiroth acting like Cloud even his sword stance….interesting!
Meanwhile.. Cloud(Remake) does the Sephiroth stance 😅
If Angeal mentors Sephiroth some, then it comes fill circle. Angeal taught Sephiroth and Zack. And Zack taught Cloud.
Wow, we could end up getting two new characters!! Young Angeal and Genesis!! That would be SICK!!
If I had to predict, chapter 9 and 10 will focus on how they met, their friendship, and their time together as Soldiers.
The deadliest trio to ever walk Gaia's lands, Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis. Imagine if in part 3 we get a mini chapter to sample the power the trio had as a team? I wonder what kind of monster or demon would be able to challenge their might?
I also think this new content if it's based on what I just mentioned, could potentially be the cut content from Crisis Core that was originally meant to be part of it.
No Ch 9-10, they said 'Episode 2' for a reason.

Seems like Sephiroth let Cloud suffer what he did over the Year's from Hojo.

Yea, everything Sephiroth does to Cloud is him projecting. It's why he loves to call him a hollow puppet. He knows they're similar. Even during Cloud's trial, Sephiroth tells him to burn everything to the ground... just like he did (referring to Nibleheim) and the imagery in that shot is identical with Cloud facing the wall of fire like Sephiroth in that infamous scene.
Also when Seph is younger he experiences another headache while in the Nible manor then Hojo's words pop up telling him he has to endure the pain and it'll make him stronger, it's literally what Sephiroth tells Cloud.
That pose is awfully like Clouds
It means Young Angeal will become playable later, just like Young Sephiroth on EC now 🔥

Young Angeal and Sephiroth, young Genesis and his obsession with Loveless can’t be far behind. Looks like we’ll see how they became friends and maybe why Genesis resents Sephiroth so much.
The cameraman looks similar to Reeve, I wonder if that was intentional, like maybe he’s family or something. It looks like he ends up as a black robe. Most likely Hojo working behind the scenes to ensure certain inconvenient truths never come to light by using people who know too much as test subjects.
Something that looks like a horror movie. If the first set of chapters were setting up Sephiroth as a hopeful character this set looks like it brings despair.

I always just assumed Genesis resented Sephiroth because he envied his status and strength. Considering the way he got carried away during that 'training session' in Crisis Core with Angeal and Sephiroth, saying "the world needs a new hero" and using all of his strength to fight him, meanwhile Sephiroth was just having a good time. And how he refers to Sephiroth as a result of "countless failed experiments" when he finds out his origin. The way Genesis treated Sephiroth and how he spoke to him definitely reeked of jealousy
Seems like Jenova makes Sephiroth see Hojo much like she shows Sephiroth to Cloud in their visions
To anyone confused as to who the Cameraman is, His name is Otacon, It stands for "Otaku COnvention" He just wants to know if love can bloom, even on a battlefield.

The voice and the way he speaks kind of give me the vibe when Kazuhiko Inoue voiced the older Angeal.
I’m really hyped about young Angeal, and possibly Genesis too? But I am also very eager to see Hojo and Sephiroth’s relationship. It’s one of the most mysterious in all of the games, with obsession on Hojo’s end and hatred on Sephiroth’s.
They have the potential to be the most disturbing father-son pair in the story, especially if they are going to make Hojo this horror movie figure. I suspect I’ll be relieved Sephiroth never knew that Hojo was his father after this.
Didn’t think there would be a continuation, maybe this one will be relevant to part 3 of remake
Each story is supposed to get 10 chapters each.

Square shouldve just made Sephiroths story into a low budget Crisis Core kind of game instead of this gatcha game.
It's sad but the current industry no longer allows for full-fledged spin-off games like Crisis Core, or even Dirge of Cerberus. Now, good stories that could have been their own amazing voice-acted entry are siphoned and drip-fed slowly into mobile games over the span of months and years. To lure potential players to their more lucrative business model.
What they're missing though is that if you launch a good product it will be remembered for a long time (see: Crisis Core). No one will ever miss a mobile game after it has been shut down. The best we can hope for is that some day First Soldier actually gets a console remake but that has never happened before.
@@CelestialLimbo Yeah you're right and it's sad honestly. The thing that bothers me the most is that most of the First Soldier storyline is now essential to know about when you play the RE:Trilogy and the majority of FF7 fans are probably not playing this gacha game and get confused when they see characters like Glenn appear.
I also find it odd that Square is spending money on new CGI scenes for a mobile game when they could've just made a Yuffie-style DLC for Rebirth but with Sephiroth as MC while we wait for the 3rd game. Like they already have his gameplay fully developed and its such a waste to only use it for 1 VR mission. Square really does make some weird business decisions sometimes.

Plenty of people STILL miss and mourn Mobius FF and it ended in *2020*. But it was being run by the same team dealing with the VII remake trilogy, so it took priority.
If they don't do this Gatcha Game, they won't get money.

Hmm.. I wonder if that's Jenova manifesting as Hojo in Sephiroth's mind? They say Jenova can become those you hate, those you fear, and those you love. It's similar to Cloud and his Jenova/Seph hallucinations... then again it's hinted that Hojo himself may have gone crazy because of Jenova too. She/it can also manipulate memories. That green glitch/headache that Sephiroth experienced when remembering Rosen, could that be Jenova altering something? We see it happening with Cloud all the time.
They should name it Second Soldier… god I can’t wait for the second part 🥺🥺 I wanna see bb Angeal and bb Genesis too man, I am dying to know what happened in between the 10 year timeskip, and also EDGE OF CREATION!!!
Edit: all I hope for is that they don’t bring another painful boss battle, looking at you, chapter 7. Dumb hard kelp monster that took me like 40 mins to beat and I had to use Zack, Sephiroth, and Matt to beat it 😭
chapter 6, chapter 7, and chapter 6 of ff7 all had such annoying boss fights
Honestly the first few seconds made me think of either Resident Evil or Silent Hill given the horror vibes and the music for it
The color of the aura Hojo is letting off is interesting to me.
Its the same color pink/purple that Jenova is (both her body and the glow she lets off) in the scene when Cloud looks into her pod in the OG FFVII.
Even the flecks of blue in the aura are the same color of the blue eyeballs dotted all over her body in that scene.. 🤔
Obviously the connection between Hojo and Jenova runs deep as the story lays out but that really jumped out at me.

My only real complaint with Angeal was his unflattering haircut. But seeing he's apparently always had one kinda makes me respect it.

There are multiple campaigns in Ever Crisis. This campaign is called First Soldier. It's just called that because you play with the characters from that game.
This whole story better not be way too short and disappointing.
Nah I think it's going to get even better going forward. They really want to go all out in the final game and this is the way to do it.

He was always a tragic villain even in OG FF7. It's not a 'blorbofy' or whatever you want to believe. They're just expanding his characterisation.

Sephiroth being nuanced was already a thing since Crisis Core (17 years ago).
And even before that in the OG it was clear that there was some Jenova manipulation. One of the main discussion points back then was who was really in control, Jenova? Sephiroth? Did they alternate? So no, it's not something new.
That’s literally not what that dumbass term means. I mean come on. I guess writers can’t develop their own characters into more complex figures anymore lol. It’s been almost 30 years. Sephiroth has well earned more depth and an interesting background.
