I live in London Ontario what you said is 100% true.We had plans to buy a house initially after getting our PR and settle here but after all the scenario about the uncertainty we decided not to buy the property because that would be a burden for a life time.Now we took a rented 2bhk including all utilities and basement garage and we lead a happy life no worries about the mortgage loan or anything.
By the way, You did not mention one thing. Canada ( state) buys skills and Child Tax, rhe state buying your children. ( Human as a material for the masters of Human/ producing Resources)
