Thanks for this tutorial ! I gave it a try this evening as I had not do such painting up to ... I confess : 12 years ago. I think result is far being good, but I really enjoyed finding back (or discovering) key points so well explained. In the exercise, about composition, perspective...well, I fully looked and listen at your tutorial three times, then went by my own. I will look at it again to understand where I was wrong so to improve next time. I think it's the best way to learn. Thanks again.
Aaa!! I LOVE monochrome paintings, ever since I tried one from Makoccino, I've been so fascinated by these kinds of paintings and there aren't that many on RUclips surprisingly. So this is so great to see from one of my favorite watercolor RUclips channels 💙
This kind of exercise is so valuable! I find that painting this way really pushes me to pay attention to value contrasts and make strategic decisions about my composition. I love how you were so spontaneous and expressive with this piece. Lovely work, Nia!! Thanks for another helpful video.
This is a great exercise and interesting approach! Most tend to go from light to dark values, but here you go from both ends of the value spectrum towards the middle. Going to try this as soon as I finished my hot chocolate that I’m enjoying while watching this video.
Using the Indigo color suggests an emotional depth which draws in my eye. A lovely painting process - my cat was watching too! It looks like it takes a lot of patience to do.
Gorgeous! I love your artwork.. you make it look so easy!! Your voice is also really calming! Thank you for doing this. I love blue and will try to do a similar one 😊
I always like the paintings you make. Your painting cures my longing for my hobby that I have neglected for a long time. I enjoy it. Thankyou very much 🥰
This is a very beautiful painting, thank you for sharing. I will have to try and attempt this one. I love your full length tutorials they are super helpful 🥰
I’ve come upon this painting 5 months after it was posted but wanted to comment anyway. Nia,this is absolutely lovely! It’s s quite effective and beautifully balanced! The indigo is such a great color for this type of study! Thank you for sharing this with us. I love your art. ♥️
Hey Nia,awesome video as always. I haven't painted lately because I have been busy in other things but this really motivated to paint again.I in the midst of exams now but as soon as it finishes,I will paint,I promise. Also ,I haven't ever tried painting with just one colour ,so this seems so cool to me. Thank u for this..Love u loads☺️
Super lovely gorgeous image but please can you help me improve my paint splatters? I just can't seem to get larger splotches. Is it a brush size issue as I only have tiny brushes ? size 3 is the largest. or is the paint too thick ? I've tried adding more water. It's not on watercolour paper so acutely aware of not over watering the paper. Many thanks for any help.
Whoaa!! Amazing as always💙💙 I tried painting with only color before! I chose brown(that was a fall scenery) Gonna try yours one also! Nia chan,,I have a request.. Can u pleaseee paint a rose or a rose garden? Rose is my one and Only favourite flower(i love daisy too) and i want you to paint a landscape focusing on rose🥺🥺🥺Please give this a try if u love my idea!
You know, for some reason I always thought indigo was more purple than this. You learn something every day. This is still a VERY lovely color regardless!
This is beautiful! Love the one color challenge and monochromatic look! 😍
Thanks, Jenna!!! ❤❤❤
