Hi, an applicant mistakenly provided her home country address in the residential address where she is living in a country in the Biometric submission is no needed but her home country is enrolled in the biometric program,So she was requested for biometric submission but there was no center either. She talked to the Australian embassy and was said to update the residential address and submit a cover letter explaining the situation. Once she did that her status is in assessment showing for almost two week but no update yet. What should she do now?

In question 11 on the form, it asks for the 'Effective date for new contact details', put the date from January.

can u explain about point no 14. in 929 form. Also point 7 where it says at which office was your application lodged? as application was lodge in online.
14 is if you are dual citizen and hold more than one passport eg France & UK passport.
7 is whatever office/embassy you put as the closest in your application eg India will be New Delhi, Pakistan will be Islamabad etc

Hi, place of issue is normally the same as country of the passport. It is only different if the passport was issued at an embassy outside the country of the passport you hold.

DHA will not issue a new grant letter. Check VEVO after about 5 business days with the new passport numbers details, if the screen populates, it means the visa has been transferred to the new passport and you should print the VEVO page as a pdf.
Hi. I received an ETA visa back in feb. I have now renewed my passport and have updated my new passport via immi. I have checked on VEVO and my visa grant number is now linked to my new passport number. Can i know if its alright for me to enter AUS. I read somewhere that you cant change passport details on ETA visa. Kindly advise. Thank you! 😊
As per the website, you need to apply on the new passport. "Your ETA is electronically linked to the passport you used to apply for your ETA. You must enter Australia using the same passport. If this passport expires or you get a new passport:
1.your ETA will cease
2.you must apply for a new ETA."

My question is when we get appointment from visa for biomatrics with longer date then is it essential to notify home Affairs as our file in on further assessment??
Yes upload the biometrics appointment confirmation with a cover letter stating you were only able to get an appointment after 14 days.

Yes, as you didn't apply via Immiaccount, you should send the 1022 form via the email you have. Also remember to include the birth certificate.

Try calling the information line on 131881 or use VEVO with the new passport number, if the search gives a result with the new passport number it means passport details have been updated.

What happens if you have a new passport due to gaining new citizenship/becoming a dual citizen? How can we inform them in this situation?
You do not need to do anything unless you want the visa transferred to the new passport you gained from another citizenship. The visa can only be linked to one passport. If you have an ongoing application, you can use the form 1022 below otherwise you just need to mention it in the next visa application.

Hi, if you apply from ImmiAccount it will take about 72 hours and you will get a confirmation email. You will need to upload a copy of you new passport. Please watch the video for full explanation. Good luck.

I got my Indian passport renewed 6 months before expiry.
Now when i go to update new passport in immiaccount. There is option which says what is the reason for renewing the passport. Should i say cancelled or expired ? as it never reacged its expiry. Can you please tell me the correct option ?
Hi Gurnoor, even though you a renewing before expiry, you would choose the expired option.

And immiaccount option says the previous passport has been cancelled and a new one has been issued. While the expiry option says choose this if the previous passport has reachedits expiry date. Can you please explain why should i choose expired and not cancelled ?
@@GurnoorSingh-ek2qy If it has been cancelled then you should choose the cancelled option. You did not mention it was cancelled. Whatever option you choose it will still be looked at by immigration and updated accordingly. I have always chosen the expired option for my clients and never had an issue. Good luck!🙂

Hello ! I had to change my passeport number, so i did on my immi account, in "update details", i received an email telling me that my details have been updated. But i didn't received anithing else. New passport details have been submitted in immiaccount, but no confirmation email received in return. Is it normal?? Can't check Vevo with new passport, but old passport is working fine in vevo

I called immigration and they said it can take upto 10 days to update as they are manually doing it. So, once it's processed then you will get confirmation in immiaccount and VEVO too @helpingbuddy1754

I have created two hap id and submitted health assessment in other hap id than required ,still showing examination required what to do ? please response
If you have already completed health assessment then email them the HAP id that was already cleared and they can use that one for the current application. If you don't have an email for them then attach a letter on ImmiAccount stating the same. Good Luck.

@@roopsg1979 Yes, that is correct, import the application to the new ImmiAccount it is a lot quicker, other wise it takes a month with 929 form by email.

Send an email if you are concerned asking them if they are able to open the attachment/form. They will contact you regardless if there is any issue/problem.🙂

You need to report your passport as stolen and get a new one and then update it with the department so they can attach the visa to it. Good luck.

The quickest wat is to email the department, most times you may have received the email address in your correspondence with the visa section. If you do not have an email address which you can send the request to you can use the form below, it has the email address where to send it to and they will forward onto the visa section to amend.

You cant add them to the ImmiAccount, however you can lodge their visas through your ImmiAccount.
