It was like please flip down next turn, please let it happen. And it lasted like a half an hour😅 I was not sure you gonna hold out. But you pulled it out again! It’s always nice to see Spidey in action. Such an elegant hero kit he’s got, I never get bored playing him😊

Hey I just want to note that when you got rid of Moon Girl at around 17:49, you didn't draw back up to Peter Parker's hand size of 6! Still nice game though and I'm happy to see that the core set heroes are still strong (at least some of them)!
Wow, that was a close match, great job! Just a note: Pretty sure you resolve the encounter card after 3 magnet counters before you remove counters (so at 29:56 you should have taken 3 damage from Electric Shock).

I just tried Spidey against expert Magneto using core set cards in leadership. Thanks to you, I kicked butt, first try!! It was basically just an endless cycle of Make The Calls to bring back Maria, Nick and Vision .. and using Get Ready to activate them a couple times whenever possible.

Limited cards is why Im happy I started off with Core+Pool when I started out. Now Im addicted to Pool/Protection 😅 I've always thought a Marvel Champions mode where you start with Any hero + the core set . Fight villains easiest to hardest. Between each game you 'buy' cards from others sets to improve your deck would be a neat mode. As I've never liked standard progression series (set to set) as not all cards are built equal and some heroes/aspects never got a fix until later sets. ANYWAY per usual AWEOME gameplay! Every decision was really fascinating to hear the logic of.

I’ve heard of the standard progression you talked about but being able to “buy” cards creates an interesting layer to the game. It reminds me of Galaxy’s Most Wanted’s campaign mode’s market (I’ve never played this campaign but I’ve heard really positive things about the market concept).
Very good concept, which demonstrated perfectly why OG Spider Man is an amazing Hero. Economy + Survivability are his two most important "traits/attribute" and that is what a player needs to understand to play him. Not "oh but he cannot thwart". That is like missing the point. Very Good Game!
Good idea, I like it reminds me of the MTG building on a budget videos. Would be cool to see more videos with decks utilising minimal purchases for other heroes

Nice video WWF❤ It will be amazing if you make a general deckbuilding video for people that wanna start building decks including all the cards. It's super hard to break the barrier from picking decks from marvelcdb to create your own decks. This video was fire tbh!

It’s not a bad deck, with core box only. Most of us started with this box and limited card options. Cool that he’s showing that people don’t need to buy a lot in order to have fun (and still be able to win).

Digging this series! This Spidey deck helped me beat Klaw finally. What sleeves do you use? I like the look. Looking forward to She-Hulk the only hero from the Core Set that I haven’t played yet.
While I have never done a core challenge before, I do like to make pure basic card decks at times, completely forgoing an aspect all together. Seems to work best with X-Men.

Glad you enjoyed this vid! Spider-Man is pretty flexible and can pair well with anymore. With this justice Spidey deck, Peter can handle thwarting when paired with Thor who can focus on damage. If you’re facing a scenario like more threat, Rogers will be the better pick since he thwarts for a lot and both him and Spidey have great built in defense so they can both thwart and defend for themselves-2 all rounders. I think you can’t go wrong with either pick
Ok I’m new to the game, so I’m confused when you leave Spiderman exhausted after the villain attack phase. And then the not drawing back up at the end of villain phase. I have only the core set right now, so maybe it’s something to do with magneto. I’ve got so much stuff on its way though!!! But trying to get the basics down before I bite off more than I can chew.
Welcome to Marvel Champions! So the player readies up all cards and draws up to hand size at the end of the player phase only. That means if any cards are exhausted or if cards are discarded from hand during the villain phase, the player enters the player phase with less resources. I personally felt like the core set cards were designed to be able to defeat Ultron since theyre in the same box and Magneto has also been more difficult in my experience but i can see where you’re coming from, especially getting swarmed by Ultron drones!
@@webwarriorfanatic This box was my first expension and it was a pretty frustrating experience. We didn't even come close to bit Ronan in final stage of campaign.
@@fernandofete yea i totally see that. It was my first expansion too but i only played Peter Parker and Miles Morales at that time 😂 If i wanted to clear the expert campaign using only Rocket or Groot with the cards i had i definitely would have failed
As Web Warrior said, in solo expert mode using only core set + galaxy is near impossible for Groot and Rocket to defeat Ronan. I defeat him with both in justice but in their decks (similar) there were no more than 6-8 cards from those sets.
@@VincenzoSolazzi it’s unfortunate Rocket and Groot have very unique mechanics that are thematic to their characters but they’re both just a little under the curve power wise

With Limitless Stamina, there are some fun Basic decks for high HP characters like Hulk too.

expert ultron with just core box cards to me would seem bigger challenge

In true solo expert mode, i don’t think so. If we change up the mode like playing 2 handed or playing on standard i think its definitely possible
