    I'd love one of these to commute in the city. Keep my 750cc for the weekend fun. Issue is the price of them, its just not worth it over a 125cc petrol.

  • @justkidding9751
    @justkidding9751 2 месяца назад +2

    Yeh, yet again the manufacturers lied about the 60 mph so you can guarantee they also lied about range which at 60 miles wouldn't be a selling point it needs to be 80 mph over taking speed on a motorway and range needs to be 120 minimum and I mean 120 miles not 100.

  • @PNH750
    @PNH750 12 дней назад +1

    I was able to test-ride both the Soco TC Max and Horwin CR6. The Horwin had a slightly better range and linked front/rear brakes operated by the right pedal plus a handle bar front brake. The Soco Max has a belt rear drive and a more sensible speedo. The Horwin speedo dial has a large rev counter indicator and ultra small digits for speed, range and battery state. The Hunter TS Pro trumps both the Horwin and TC Max with its longer range. But I would want a guaranteed 60mph top speed for the higher asking price.

  • @cake3081

    Is this better than the super soco tc max planing on getting this or the tc max only going to ride electric motorbikes after cbt

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  3 месяца назад +2

      Pretty much the same power wise, however a big advantage is the 2 smaller batteries rather than the 1 big one in the TC max. Max is belt driven which is quite expensive to replace, the new TS pro is hub drive. Different looking, I feel the TS pro is better looking. New digital dash, Max has the round analogue style display.

  • @CrapKerouac

    I suspect they would sell more bikes with a redesign, those are not pretty bikes. A modern retro café with a full fairing that resembles the race bikes from the mid to late 60s, but sealed like Tupperware, to cover the batteries and electronics, of course. I think you know what I mean.
    Edit: A Belgian chap did a super soco café racer conversion, and it's an enormous improvement. It's easy to find with any search engine.

    As a current Super Soco TS Hunter Pro owner it was interesting to watch. Thanks. How sure are you with regards servicing schedules you quote - initial service 600 miles, then annually/ every 2200 miles? My dealer told me it was 500 miles and 2000 miles respectively.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  3 месяца назад

      They would have done yes because they would want the servicing done before the mileage comes round as a lot of people tend to go over their mileage for servicing which then can void their warranty. Also mileage for servicing tends to be in km so a lot of dealer guestimate.

    • @andyfidler8544
      @andyfidler8544 3 месяца назад

    Good review, not biased and fair. Whether we like it or not there aren’t many options to the combustion engine for bikes and for commuting within a city or conurbation this makes sense. I still prefer combustion but that’s what I’ve been brought up on!

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  3 месяца назад +1

      I believe it will but it will hinder the range and speed. I think 50mph might be a more realistic speed and you could probably take the range down to 35-40 miles at that speed.

    This is perfect as completely Auto and the speed is enough when not needing any motorway travel .

  • @sergentcolon1

    I see this as mainly an urban bike, where it would make a lot of sense. If you want a bike to go further afield and explore country roads then someone like a Grom, Dax or Monkey bike would make more sense and be more fun.

    The colour cheapens it. The side view of the headlamp reminds me of old woman's chest. Design lacks flair. I'd have just styled it more like a Voge 300 or the Suron which looks loads more exciting

    It looks like electric motorbikes are starting to make sense. Certainly more affordable but I would have hoped for 60 mph if it's going to tempt me away from my Honda Vision as my daily ride. My BMW 1200 GS has now been replaced with an ADV350, and there is no electric equivalent for that yet. Hopefully the next 5 years will see some really useful and affordable electric bikes.
    Thanks for a great review.

      Have you seen the Zero DSR/X? An adventure bike 180 mile range, 110mph, 1 & 1/2 hour fast charge but £21k. They do an A2 version too and a 125 CBT equivalent version also for £16k that does 86mph and a range of 145 miles.
