Great video! And regarding the comments about the tight fit for the seal, my dad told me every good plumber has a small bottle of KY lube in his tool kit. I know it sounds weird, but it will make a job like this go a lot easier, just add a few drops to the wet sponge.

Nice video. Anyone other than me notice these repair guys, no matter car, appliance, furnace or whatever, always work on new or almost new stuff? This guy had a water shutoff that looked like it had never been wet. The dishwasher he was working on did seem to have been used-once. I would love to see someone showing a repair under real-world conditions, like a 15-year-old dishwasher that is loaded with minerals from the water and covered in dirty dish gunk. This place does have the best price I've seen on the part. I've seen places selling this part for a price that screams, "NEW DISHWASHER."

great tip on getting it wet, I would have sworn the new part was too large, then I wetted it and it made all the difference

Quick question I have a maytag dishwasher everything on it looks relatively the same. It's not washing properly and have cleaned out everything plus spray arms it's all clean of debris. I've replaced the water inlet valve and wasn't the problem. I here a humming noise thinking it's the pump motor. Is there anything else that it could be before I replace it?

We installed this one in our GU1100XTLB1 Whirlpool. We are having a leak underneath. We have checked the seal. The little part (thermoster?" that unplugged from the old motor seems to be where the water is leaking. Is it possible that part does not fit this new motor? HELP

Was able to almost fix our dishwasher with your video. Thanks! Just gotta figure out: The seal is dripping slightly :( I hope I don't have to take it all apart again.

A quick question. I removed the motor pump there's a screen inside. That screen has a small stainless steel impeller on it that rides on a rubber type gasket in the middle of the screen. My question is. That screen and impeller has a lot of movement between each other i would think that it would Be a tight fit. Is this normal?

+S Thomas Are you talking about the chopper assembly? ruclips.net/video/TMkmwh6mttE/видео.html There should be some movement of the shaft but if it is totally loose then the bearing around the shaft is probably gone and the chopper needs to be replaced.

What about just changing out the plate and not the moter?

s wilson This was a Whirlpool dishwasher. We try and show where the wires were removed from and replaced but it is always a good idea to write it down or mark them if needed!

Okay, what is with the gloves? You're not working on a Mack truck, why do need gloves and...how do you even do anything with those things on?

10 videos and nothing about removing the pump by itself.
