Hello everyone, thank you for your questions! We're monitoring this comments section closely for feedback. Here are a few answers you've been asking about:
    1. IP rating - we expect the Pro to be IP66 water and dust resistant.
    2. Weight - the prototype clocked in at 90LB and we anticipate the final production units to be very similar.
    3. Brakes - we're seeing a lot of surprised reactions at our choice of drum brakes for a high-performance scooter likes this. We get it and it was a long debate for us as well. The reason we chose drum brakes is twofold:
    1) based on our initial testing, the re-gen brake is JUST as effective as mechanical brakes. In addition, being so much more comfortable to use, we anticipate this will dramatically reduce the use of mechanical brakes. It's a real game changer and once you try it, you will understand why :)
    2) Drum brakes are far more durable than disc brakes, requiring less maintenance over the lifespan of the scooter.
    4. Controller - it is a sine wave controller.
    5. Phone as display - another controversial move, which means we're doing something right :) Contrary to some of the comments, we did not cut the display to "save on cost". It's the most sophisticated scooter we've ever designed, so saving $50 on an OLED display was not the decision driver. The key for us was designing a phone holder that protects your phone even when the scooter gets dropped, and I believe we did just that. We will continue to share the results of our phone holder tests with the community. We decided to develop a phone holder for 3 reasons:
    1) Our app is constantly evolving and improving with tons of great features being released in the next 6 months. We want our riders to be able to benefit from these on-going improvements, which is only possible via app updates.
    2) Over 50% of our riders already buy phone holders to accompany their rides, so we know there is a need for this type of feature. Adding wireless charging was important for us to allow riders to keep their phones charged even during longer rides.
    3) In order to avoid having the phone act as a distraction, we added a built in speaker to the Pro. This means things like directions can be delivered to the rider without having to glance at the screen.
Thanks for all your comments and keep the great questions coming!

Thanks so much. In regards of the brake I totally agree!! I got recently the Apollo City Pro 2022. I use 90 % of the time, maybe even more, just the regen brake. And that's the best thing on this planet. So the drum brakes are a awesome combination and maintenance free. They do the job as good as others in combination with the regen brake. I want to upgrade the scooter as well so my hubby can drive the City Pro. But I would never ever buy a scooter WITHOUT a regen brake since I am so used to it, it's so convenient, unbelievable. And there has to be a thumb throttle like on the City Pro 2022. Little thing, the hook what lock's in the deck to carry the scooter shouldn't come off that easy, it should log in somehow a bit better. Thanks for the amazing and thoughtful invented scooter!

I was on the edge of my seat anticipating an official V3 announcement. Seems as if I’ve been waiting forever to order one. So I was quite surprised and a little disappointed. The PRO looks like a path to the future though. The Apollo site is still short on details. Motor size, weight etc. Appears somewhat overpriced with the info supplied. More Super Innovated than Hyper. Please give us the new Phantom V3 as soon as possible. With the self healing tires and more PRO like surprises. Congrats on the innovations we’ve come to except from you.

    • @jriding6161

Not sure why anyone would wait for the V3. I just got my V2 and it's flawless. True, I would like a dedicated regen controller, self-healing tires and would prefer to use my phone for the display, the Pro is so much more expensive so I'm quite happy with my 52V hydraulic. It'll do 63KPH .. just 7KPH slower than the Pro.

the fact that the phone is used as a screen may seem to be awesome at first glance but you may also have to consider the drawbacks such as.
    1. What if this scooter is used by someone for uber eats he will either use uber app or Apollo app.
    2. What if phone battery dies i know you must have developed a inbuilt phone charger in the scooter.
    3. Scooter are used to explore. If the person has to click a picture or video he first have to stop take out the phone and change from Apollo app to camera then again set up the apollo app . I think this increase the unnecessary hastle
PS. a person may need to buy two phones for better experience a old phone may solve the purpose 👍

Wow...just wow...that's amazing. Off the top of my head, the Apollo care idea could be revolutionary. Like Applecare for Iphones, Apollo Care for Scooters. I loved seeing that Victoria is on the map. I have found that local sellers won't repair Apollo products. Unless they sell them, they don't fix them and with electric scooters, especially ones as formidable as the new Apollo Pro, I think it wise to have a warranty and maintenance plan...Just like we do for new cars. Hats off for your innovative approach Apollo :)

Just an FYI -- as I just found out myself- Electric Scooters are illegal to use in public places (roads, trails etc.) in Victoria at the moment. Electric Scooters are only allowed in public places in "TEST pilot cities". More information for B.C. on which scooters are legal in the Pilot cities can be found here: www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/90_2021
Additionally, Pilot city information can be found here: www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/transportation/transportation-environment/active-transportation/policy-legislation/motor-vehicle-act-pilot-projects/scooter
** a notable regulation to be legal is: not be capable of propelling the electric kick scooter at a speed that exceeds 24 km/h on a clean, paved and level surface.
      Pilot cities are:
      City of Kelowna
      City of Nanaimo
      City of North Vancouver
      City of Richmond
      City of Vancouver
      City of Vernon
      District of North Vancouver
      District of West Vancouver
and as per communications with the pilot project - I received the following information:
The Motor Vehicle Act Pilot Project on electric kick scooters is scheduled to run until 2024. Communities can continue to apply to participate in the pilot project. To date, we have not received an application from the City of Victoria. This means that in the City of Victoria, electric kick scooters are illegal to operate outside of private property. You may wish to contact the City of Victoria’s transportation department and express your support for the City joining the pilot project.

      @celestearcher1945 2 года назад

Additionally, I received this response --
      Good morning Celeste,
Thank you for getting in touch with the City about e-scooters regulations in Victoria.
Your email was shared with staff in Transportation for a detailed response.
Electric assisted kick scooters, or e-scooters, are not permitted in the City of Victoria or anywhere in the Capital Regional District (CRD).
This includes on roadways or the Regional Trail network (Galloping Goose, Lochside and E&N Trails). E-scooters can only legally be used on private property that does not have public vehicle access.
The BC Motor Vehicle Act, regulated by the Province, outlines permitted devices and rules of the road in British Columbia. The City’s bylaws align with approved devices under the BC Motor Vehicle Act (MVA). ‘Motor assisted cycles’ (e-bikes) are the only electric assist devices that are legal on the road today. The Regional Trail Network is regulated by the CRD Parks Regulation Bylaw which also refers to the MVA for permitted devices.
Six municipalities in BC are part of a current Provincial pilot project where local bylaws can permit e-scooters however, none of the communities in the CRD are part of this pilot. Under the pilot, you are correct, that 16 years old is the most common minimum age specified.
We encourage you to write to the Province of BC to encourage them to modernize the Act and regulate new mobility devices such as e-scooters. City of Victoria staff, and our partners, will continue to learn about the outcomes from the current Pilot to inform future recommendations to Mayor and Council.

Recently put my deposit down for Q1 2023 purchase/delivery. I currently ride a Boosted Rev and have done so for several years now. I enjoy the regenerative breaking so this was what played a large part in my deposit. Also, Boosted Rev is waterproof with IPX7 rating. I wish the Apollo Pro had a higher rating because I want to ride rain or shine, go through puddles, and be able to hose it off after a fishing trip off road when it returns home muddy. The ability to hose down my Boosted Rev has made it easy to ride off road even in muddy/wet conditions.
Can’t wait to ride my new Apollo Pro once it can be delivered.
However, if there isn’t a facility where I can have easy maintenance, I may think twice before making final payment. Having to box up and ship for repairs is too inconvenient. Would just continue riding my Boosted Rev if they don’t expand repair facilities to Northern California.

@@gtone339 Not with the Kaabo Wolf Warrior X base model, its sine wave controllers make the throttle control very smooth and easy to regulate. Pull the trigger all the way, and yes the front wheel will spin upto 20kph or so. And remember 70kph is the top speed, on a flat surface. Add hills, head wind ect and the top speed is reduced.
An old Yaris has a top speed of 180kph or so, and no one ever accused that of being a scary or death with kind of car. Just like the scooter, it takes ages to reach its top speed. So if you want to commute about at 70, you need a scooter capable of going 100kph.

I would love to see some stats on motors and battery to see if that 100 KM range is realistic or just one of those single motor 15-20 kph estimates. As a scooter rider with a disability (lower limb prosthetic user) standing for extended periods can be an issue. PEVs could be the answer for many users, obviously depending on differing abilities. My personal mobility has been dramatically improved by micro mobility vehicles, enabling me to make those short essential trips but also to explore towns, cities and the countryside with ease. Disability can often be an after thought when it comes to innovation, when innovation could be the solution if considered at development. For example I understand some of your vehicles can be retro fitted with seats but the option of an integrated seat would be very attractive to thousands or dare I say it, millions. I am sure most people with different abilities would prefer a dynamic, lightweight choice such as the products you offer rather than the uneconomical, dated and cumbersome conventional options available. Imagine if you could help many of those with limited mobility to ditch their cars too. I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts.

      Hey there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your insight on seats with our scooter models! We do value this recommendation and will ensure it get's shared with the development team. We agree that some of the conventional mobility options available today are outdated and usually over priced for what they provide. The main reason we've not explored these options deeply is due to limited demand, but as request like these grow, it can help push the team to look at different options to make available.

@@ApolloScooters hi there, thank you for taking the time to reply. It would be great to keep these ideas open, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a seated version of your latest models. Coincidentally I will be visiting Beyond PEV tomorrow (one of your dealers in the UK.) Happy scootering.

Wow great job on the design! Everything looks amazing! The adoption of using the phone as a screen is fantastic and I'm surprised it's taken this long for a scooter designer to do it! I always have my phone mounted on the scooter anyway, so having it built in, and having it right in the centre will be amazing!
My only concern is that the deck won't be long enough. I get that some people like wide decks, but I actually feel more comfortable in a snowboard stance with my feet sideways and sort of wide apart. Will it still have room for that sort of style of riding?
That price totally makes sense for everything it has, but being on the high end, I think it's smart that you'll have financing available as I'd totally make use of that.

Apollo Pro and the Segway GT2 are leading the field. All the other major players such as Dualtron & Kaabo have been left in the dust in terms of engineering.
You take the highest price scooter from Dualtron versus this one and aside from speed there's no contest in terms of engineering.
We have been asking for years for waterproofing from Dualtron which I own but they fall on deaf ears. A company that is tone deaf towards consumers will eventually fail.

Nice scooter but 90 lbs? That's way too heavy to take on public transportations .... 😢. Here is a question, I am out riding this scooter in the city, stop at a coffee shop and someone steal my phone or I simply loose it. Now what? Is there a way to unlock and ride the scooter home? My Tesla allows me to use a chip embedded card that I carry in my wallet to unlock and drive home.
I love everything about the scooter except the weight. I especially love the 12" tires, suspension and electric brake. It's a very nice design! Congratulation!

If they have a screen that comes with the scooter as a "dashboard" I'd like that and connect pairing to my phone and Hotspot it for data would be better. All the data still gets sent through the Apollo app. (Smart phone sized screen)

By no means is 3600 USD an option (unless subsidized as an electric vehicle or actual car replacement) and it'll would take what 6 years of 4 dollar a gallon gas to pay for this? Nevermind hospital bills if you take a spill or get hit at speed. I'll hold off and see if there's an eventual second hand market for these.
