I just received my Pro the other day. I live in Minnesota and am very lucky it is a mild winter have been able to get out and ride it, love the regen braking have not had to use the drum brakes once so far and getting alot of compliments riding around, it does turn heads. Love the Apollo Pro.
@@daquekenfor6901I read the manual and thought it said try not to use the regen brakes if the battery is full, but didn’t see anywhere specifying 90% (maybe I missed?)
@@moonwaterz2258 Yes indeed. My phantom was constantly getting punctures, so my solution was to get a good hybrid tyre so a bit thicker and a quality tube. (Split rims are nice). Certainly has solved that problem.

Does the IOT need to be purchased or it comes mounted in the unit at the factory? Make no sens to rip off the rubber mat and have it never stick properly again.
You terribly forgot about the Alarm system noise - that's one key selling point of this scooter 😅 - I personally consider this one over others because of that! Hmm!
gt2 is a beast . beside the water raiting wich is mindblowing low its the best Escooter money can buy .. the only peoples saying otherwise cant afford it !
It’s not the GPS you are paying a subscription for. The IOT is a cellular data device, the subscription is paying for cellular data access, Apollo has to pay providers for this to work. In addition there are back end servers that are processing the ride data. This has a cost as well. My guess is that they are paying a third party provider for this storage, and maybe the database engine that does the reporting. In conclusion, Apollo incurs a monthly cost for providing this function. They may at some point be making a profit on the recurring subscriptions, but likely not even close to it now, and I don’t ever see it as being a “cash cow”. The capability is a selling feature for the scooter itself not a really lucrative, recurring revenue stream. At least as my understanding of the provider costs for asset tracking by cellular and maintaining telemetry.
I wish it had a peak power limiter. It is the most efficient economy mode when you want to extend the range the farthest and is the best setting for battery longevity. The user simple set the maximum output power to 300 watts, for instance. It should be easy to implement since it is a software-controller feature.
my g30d has regen breaking i ended up disconnecting the breaklever as i never used it and it caused a crash when i couldn't figure out which break to use and i had that scooter for 3 years now
After using the scooter for a month here are my top requests: please release portable GaN charger, send a notification when the scooter alarm goes off in armed mode, app UX is not great and very buggy, show state of charge on screen when plugged in so i can more easily disconnect when it has enough charge. Personal preference but I would consider the scooter perfect if it was slightly longer (like GT2), could easily get up to 45 mph for a 160lb load at 5% grade, ability to set max SoC anywhere between 50-100%, and had a portable charger, spot for an air tag.
Yeah that’s all nice. I love mine. The problem is it makes a terrible noise all the time and every time I’m on it. I took it to a repair shop and they took a Quick Look. They didn’t know where the issue was but said for $5000 I should be pissed off which I am. He said I should demand another scooter or at the very least fix the damn issue. Now I have to make a video. Send it in and wait god knows how long. Thanks Apollo for changing me $5000 for something that sounds broken every time o ride it
Manual recommends charging to 100% after every ride and also mentions not using the e-brake if the charge is more than 90%. If this guy isn't using the drum brakes, then he isn't following the manual's guidance. 😅
@@eloipecquet Possible for an app update to allow us to set max charge to 80-90% to make the battery last longer and prevent over charging with the regen?
I would have this scooter right now if I didn't live on the top floor in a building with no elevator. I really want this scooter, but lugging 93lbs up and down 4 flights of stairs every day doesn't sound fun. Make a version with a detachable battery that you can charge separate from the scooter please!

The standard scooter wheel size should be 11-12 inches. I hope you make a sub-20kg scooter with suspension and wheels that big.
Love the footage by the water....where is that San Diego?
I have a city pro with self healing tyres. But it does not have self healing valve stems. So you will still get flat tyres.

What is your favorite feature?
Love that I can fly up hills rather than having to walk / go up at 4mph
The 360 lighting. You guys should bring that to the City especially with the Explore on pause. “What’s a City without Lights?”
The really well controlled acceleration and braking, along with the suspension. It’s more like driving a car than a scooter. Very well planted.
My favourite thing you guys do is ignore my questions on all of your videos!

you should make the gps tracking a paid once feature rather than a subscription like you pay 100 to track the scooter if you have to make money on it
