Actually a 400m runner would still typically benefit from the same structure. A generally narrow ribcage to allow for more diaphragm excursion up and down. Even a high jump athlete as well but for different reasons. The wide ribcage and low center of mass would be more beneficial for rugby, football linemen, powerlifter, etc. I know I said distance runner but that was a bit of an oversimplification and there are a range of athletes that fall into each category.
@@TheMovementSystem wouldnt it also be accurate to say that different body types can cooexist within the same sport due to different roles for the players. IE MMA fighters or Linemen vs receivers in football.
@@nveronline2914 Yea definitely different positions. There are just some common traits that you see nearly across the board. (ex: flat pronated feet and wide base for American football linemen)
Hey matt, amazing video as always. Can you do a video on foam rolling before and after a training session. It would help a lot if it's swimming specific.
Great content as always. Can you make a video on the differences between GOATA (greatest of all time actions) and HFT (hyperarch fascia training), and maybe talk abt whether both can be incorporated together?
