A fitting anecdote as J None (the guy in the middle) just left the group for boot camp as he's going to join the navy. Don't know if he's a trouble maker though... 😉 I recommend their cover of Bang! (also featuring Deejay Young, the guy standing next to the beatboxer Layne) and for some more ground shaking notes from Geoff one suggestion is My mother told me.
When I first watched this video, I was surprised that they had J doing the lead because Deejay is obviously the high tenor. But then I read about him leaving for the Navy and it brings tears to your eyes that he's leaving what is an enormously challenging and rewarding career to go serve our country.
Deejay Young is featured in Voiceplay's cover of BANG. I think you would like it.

Man in the Mirror is my favorite Michael Jackson song. It is still as pertinent today as it was then. This was J None's last video before he was leaving for the US Navy and he was the first singer. He did say he'd be back. The beatboxer is Layne Stein, the bald guy is the Rock God high tenor, Dee Jay Young is a Broadway fellow. He was in the Chipmunk Song last year for Christmas video. Then VoicePlay lined up the group for In My Room (Beach Boys) with Dee Jay for that one too.
The harmonies just blow my mind. They keep taking songs I love and making me love their version more. Great reaction and appreciation

Geoff’s releasing a new one on his solo RUclips channel (Geoff Castellucci) today, called “Saddle up”. Country style.
His solo stuff isn’t acappella, by the way.
Beatboxer/bass is Layne, the little guy is Eli (not eel-eye but as ele in elephant) J, who is leaving to join the navy is in the middle here, DeeJay is the guest with the superb voice.

This was actually J-None's (guy in the middle) last performance with VoicePlay before joining the military. He went to Bootcamp soon after. I'm just glad that he hadn't been in long enough to be in Afghanistan by now. :'(
