I am, using Screen+ on 42" monitor, typing with a USB keyboard, listening through studio monitor headphones. This phone is by far my favorite phone so far. I'm blown away by what smartphones can do compared to the desktop computers I was building 20 years ago. Now I use this phone as my desktop computer. With a portable printer/scanner, portable projector, wireless keyboard and mouse, it's so easy to travel with my office.
Can't wait for mine to arrive. I just received an email that it has been shipped. I've been a Galaxy Note owner for a long time but the price for the note has gone up too high. It is not worth the high price anymore.
@David Rhind That's the beauty of LG their phones end up cheaper to replace than repair and the V60 is amazing don't know where that fragile reference came from the thing is tanky and it destroyed my note 20 and i traded it in for the ultra and this v60 still trades blows with the ultra.
Just got this phone. I replaced a Note 10+. I am a happy camper with the V60. Plus with the added second screen accessory, it is a great device for RUclips when sitting around going down that rabbit hole. Loved the video!
Its $700 USD with dual case included where I live. It has active pen support. I was going to get a Note 9 since it has a headphone jack but this is cheaper and better.
I normally don’t write comments but I have to say excellent video. I’ve seen so many people skip right past the phone and go straight to do the dual screen and talk about that for 3/4 of the video but not here. Anyways keep up the good work

You can see several youtube reviews on the camera and I think (of course it's my opinion) the v60 holds it's own. Anyway, I love the v60 pictures as much add I did my note10+, maybe better.
I bought the V60 dual-screen from T-Mobile back in May of this year. My previous phone was the Samsung S10. The only thing that I miss is face unlock. I was extremely surprised that the camera and the V60 is better than the Samsung S10. Ability to rock this phone as a dual screen or as a single phone is really cool. You won't believe the conversation starters this phone create when I use the dual screen in public. Being able to make payments via NFC or MST is amazing. The only other phone I know that can do this is Samsung. And for gamers nothing can beat this phone audio and 3D sound.
I agree, I traded in note 10 plus & have no regrets, it has great speaker & like you stated the camera & video is the clearest & sharpest I've seen & I've had a lot of phonez

Depends on area. T-mobile bought Sprint so they got more spectrum with that. Real 5G speeds are a ways off. It requires 10X more microwave antennas being the frequencies are so high and don't travel as far. As far as I'm concerned we are a ways off from REAL 5G unless your in a certain area where they have deployed it. Most likely in highly populated density areas like chicago etc.. Right now its more a marketing gimmick IMO.
@@HiPlains1 I'm beginning to see beyond the hype of 5G now, for starter's the mmwave portion of 5G is really overkill in many cases, I don't need 1 gig plus download speeds, and mmwave won't work indoors either, What I need to know is which of the three carriers has towers near by right now or will soon that can give me at least 150 MBPS downloads, even if I'm 3 miles away indoors from that carrier's tower, and so far nothing can tell me that with any certainty, the closest I've found is this cell mapper website gives tells you the distance from your own location to the nearest 5G tower but it works only for T Mobile. (So far this consumer is just taking guesses in the dark, on which 5G phone if any is justified right now)
im still rocking the v60 i just ordered a new battery and charging port! i absolutely love this phone and havent found a replacement yet the audio quality and hifi dac is irreplaceable!

I've turned off ALL notifications on my LG V60.. But on the navigation bar the center circle blips constantly and vibrates. I've turned off EVERYTHING I can think of. Can anyone help me? It's driving me crazy
Just got it here in China for $340! Don't need a 2nd screen. Still have the V50 which is great but the screen seems easy to crack when dropped. So that'll be a backup 😏
How is the phone call quality in terms of hearing other people? I won't go back to iPhone and am thinking about buying this phone, but every time I call someone using an iPhone it almost sounds like they are on a landline. No one talks about this and I get all of the other cool features, but what about the calling experience? These are PHONES after all. What's the best resolution to leave it in cuz I put it in a higher resolution and then my RUclips videos out of black rim around it and I put it in back stock resolution it seems that's okay now and the color is kind of lightish when your film what's your suggestion
It recently received Android 11 and I hear good things about the performance. I think the SW team were doing good updates until the end. I'm thinking 11 will be the end. But security updates should be good for a few more years. I picked a open box on amazon for 429. Have not seen it yet. Prices are starting to go up being those that know, this is the last great flagship from LG. And in many ways, better then IP/Samy that cost double the price. BTW, LG announced the are getting out of mobile in July if you have not heard. This is the end of the line.
There are allot of good reviews. One channel that reviews allot of LG was saying that content reviewers concentrate more on the big two. Samy and apple. Their channels will monopolize more money when they do that. LG was the fall guy and the easy target. They did make some bad mistakes. This handset is not one of them. I picked one up from amazon today and can't wait. I think allot of people are buying them up now knowing this is the end and also one of the last uncompromising full feature phones. Online prices are actually going up as inventories dwindle.
I put my pics and videos on my computer to view and the video is terrible in slow motion or if I go frame to frame, very blurry, my old Moto g4+ that is about 5 years old took way better video when slowed or frame by frame, I know that sounds unreal but its really true! And my weather animation on the home screen never worked and when I send or receive a video its almost unviewable. I dont know if I got a bad phone or that's just how it is. Definitely not worth the price. Its a lg, wait a year and it will be half price. I wished I had waited.
Bad video? - something on your phone's settings is not ok, or the screen you where viewing on had it's definitions lowered. The weather animations on mine seemed that weren't working either, but I gues it depends on the info collected by the weather app at our location. I had mine set and never showed anything (weather was mostly overcast) until a few hours later when rain was showing on the screen and I looked through the window and sure enough it was raining. (weather app location and notifications have to be on). I think the only other animation that will show is snow, which I'll be getting sooner than later. Like any flagships, there's tons of tunning to do on this phone to match your expectations and needs. Good luck!
Most smartphone fans will have no idea what quad DACs are. Digital Audio Converters. I didn’t until I looked into this phone for using as a playback device for my karaoke songs. That’s the main reason I bought one.
I'm having a problem finding this phone. I'm with Verizon, they Can order the phone, however they have no idea about the 2nd screen. I tell them it's a dual screen phone, there is a case that comes with the screen. They are clueless. I went to a couple of Verizon stores, I called customer service they don't know how to order the case with the screen. That is just crazy. Does anybody have any suggestions. Thanks
Im not totally sure , but i think thats is a promotion going on for that dual screen thru lg website , you need present the purchase order ticket and if you qualified they send you the dual screen for free , if you dont qualified is a $199 for that dual screen case also on lg website.
Anybody knows anybody in the hierarchy at T Mobile, pass this along: It really sucks that T-Mobile does not offer the dual screen option with the Velvet. At least in the US they don't. At TM the Velvet is $600 (ok $588) and then you have to buy the second-screen attachment from LG for $200. 800 Yankee dollars....+ tax. The basic single screen handset for the LG V60 through T-Mobile is $650. For just $50 more you get the dual screen version. So $700 for the dual screen V60 $800 for the dual screen Velvet or $700 for the dual-screen V60. What kind of stupid is all that?
I don't understand. I just bought one and the battery barley lasts 1 day. My previous iPhone XR has a way better battery life. I'm at home for the most part using WIFI. I am not a heavy user. I don't know why.
Great video. I'm on my LG v40 ThinQ and was between the v60 and the Pixel 5. I'm on my 4th LG phone (G3, v10, v20, v40) and the battery was going to sway me to the Pixel 5. But with the battery reviews on the v60 along with audio that crushes the Pixel, ill be staying with LG. Thanks for the great work.
The lack of 120hz and LG's awful reputation for software/OS updates is what sinks this one for me. Which is a shame, cause the battery and headphone jack are nice
Sorry, but instead of defeating yourself with excuses, just get a hold of one and use it. 120Hz vs 60Hz will never be noticed between 2 phones not side-by-side and even then, honestly it does not matter, it is just a marketing ball play as both screens run smoothly. Remember the hardware on this LG is the best at the moment. Software is updated (mine on September), it's quick to launch, fast to scroll through and amazing to be used either standalone or dual. I have friends with both Notes 20 and 10 and they are happy with their phones, but admitted to cannot beat neither the fantastic dual screen (full view) experience, not even dreaming the battery life nor the money I put in my pocket with not going Samsung again. Heard that Note 10 is turning into an LG really soon... Of course preferences are preferences.
I have played on a 60hz and 120hz (side by side at a store) phone, and the difference was night and day. After using the 120hz mode, the 60hz mode felt and looked very choppy. 120hz is a must for a high end phone in 2020. If you can't tell the difference, you are either being disingenuous, or have poor vision. As for LG software, I've been using (and currently am still using) an LG V30 (US998), and they have yet to give me a single update for my phone. I'm still stuck running an OS from launch date. Maybe they've improved, but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from last time. The only two reasons I'd even consider the V60 is the battery life and the quad DAC. The battery life is excellent, but the quad dac will only really make a difference if you are using high impedance headphones. Average consumer grade headphones (approximately 32ohms or less) will barely benefit from a high end DAC. I have the sennheiser momentum 2.0, and I experience the same phenomena. As for the dual screens, I suppose that's a cool feature, but it's use is limited for me, because when you get to using screens that large, I will likely just switch to a desktop or laptop.
@@Eckathor You have seen side-by-side 120Hz vs 60Hz, and as I said doing that most will notice diferences between them. So you're right on that. What I meant saying is that that refresh rate diference doesn't matter for most of the consumers. And, yes, my background is in electronics and technology and I consider myself on that average group, nothing to do with being disingenuous, or having poor vision. Maybe in the future faster rates will be very noticeable, not just yet, or at least not as a big jump as it was having a dual core phone and nowadays an octacore, if you see what I mean. Well, you have good reasons to be upset with LG's software updates. I've been reading online many people complaining and apparently that's something widespread. I can't confirm that they improved their policy, maybe just got lucky to get right away an update that first owners of the device were waiting for about half a year, right? I think, that's a shame because for the most part LG products are very well praised by those that bought them. I'm a first time LG phone owner and I'm enchanted! We own one of the first LG SmartTVs (7 years) with the magic remote stick and we love it, but never got any updates on the software and the apps are mostly obsolete (youtube, Smartworld, etc). We use an external box to run all those apps on the TV :) Our other SmartTV, a Samsung (2 years) has been having updates here and there it seems. Back to the dual screen, well, I'm on the honeymoon phase right now, but I use it all the time for professional reasons and yes there's times that my small laptop is preferable (home), but on the field (or on the road), no smaller tablet performs better than this phone. Talking about size for quickly remove it from pocket, write a handwritten note with the pen or research on one screen and copy and paste a message/email on the other one ready to send and put back the phone safe in pocket. Surely your V30 would still live up for this kind of routine. The V60 is a huge upgrade to any of my previous Samsungs (too small batteries), with this battery lasting me for 2 days on dual screen use and I can only imagine how much more I'd get on standalone.
@@Eckathor I came from a note 10 plus and tried the note ultra and it sucked . The so-called 120 hz cannot run at full resolution and on the phones where you can force it the battery gets killed. This phone has killer battery life android audio if you are an audiophile granted it's not meridian like in the days past but they quad dac kills and yeah it also supports aptx and aptx for bluetooth audio and that takes it to a whole new level. For under 700 bucks you just can't beat the value proposition imo.

just ordered one used. I owned one for a short time but it must have been a Verizon phone. DID NOT work with Tmobile. The phone I received was 10/10 BRAND NEW!!....with tears I had to return it. Keeping fingers crossed...this one is a TMO PHONE! really wish LG would think about coming back into cellphone market!. Maybe just specialty? P/e..P/l is important! Knowing you produce the best (for most users) = PRICELESS!!!!. As far as ANDROID.........LG OWNED IT! Samsung is hardcore......but LG always hit them where they missed the market!
Great video featuring a great stand alone phone. My only gripe is not being able to use gestures with Nova launcher so I stuck with the LG's version. Battery life, headphone jack and having LG Pay puts this phone over the top of other phones in the same price range.

Yeah bought a renewed V60 on Amazon for about 400. They guarantee the battery is over 85 percent and no visible signs of wear. It's a t-mobile tuned phone. My t-mobile store does not even carry them anymore. I plan on getting some good ear buds but holy moly the ones the channel uses cost over 300 bucks. Bet they do sound good. Nothing like good headphone listening however. Like to get back into that.
Video in 8k looks great.. it's funny that you guys stress that you are using it handheld because that's just how good this phone is the optical image stabilization is top of the heap just an awesome phone even now in 2022 I went out and bought another one off eBay because I couldn't find another phone that I like they had all the features this one has at the price it is there's not one to be found like it

I'm having a problem finding this phone.
I'm with Verizon, they Can order the phone, however they have no idea about the 2nd screen.
I tell them it's a dual screen phone, there is a case that comes with the screen. They are clueless.
I went to a couple of Verizon stores, I called customer service they don't know how to order the case with the screen.
That is just crazy.
Does anybody have any suggestions.

Im not totally sure , but i think thats is a promotion going on for that dual screen thru lg website , you need present the purchase order ticket and if you qualified they send you the dual screen for free , if you dont qualified is a $199 for that dual screen case also on lg website.

It really sucks that T-Mobile does not offer the dual screen option with the Velvet.
At least in the US they don't.
At TM the Velvet is $600 (ok $588) and then you have to buy the second-screen attachment from LG for $200.

The basic single screen handset for the LG V60 through T-Mobile is $650. For just $50 more you get the dual screen version. So $700 for the dual screen V60
$800 for the dual screen Velvet or $700 for the dual-screen V60.

I don't understand. I just bought one and the battery barley lasts 1 day. My previous iPhone XR has a way better battery life. I'm at home for the most part using WIFI. I am not a heavy user. I don't know why.

Great video. I'm on my LG v40 ThinQ and was between the v60 and the Pixel 5. I'm on my 4th LG phone (G3, v10, v20, v40) and the battery was going to sway me to the Pixel 5. But with the battery reviews on the v60 along with audio that crushes the Pixel, ill be staying with LG. Thanks for the great work.
Don't fast change it if you don't have to. I regular slow charge mine and unplug it at 90 percent.

The lack of 120hz and LG's awful reputation for software/OS updates is what sinks this one for me. Which is a shame, cause the battery and headphone jack are nice
Sorry, but instead of defeating yourself with excuses, just get a hold of one and use it. 120Hz vs 60Hz will never be noticed between 2 phones not side-by-side and even then, honestly it does not matter, it is just a marketing ball play as both screens run smoothly. Remember the hardware on this LG is the best at the moment.
Software is updated (mine on September), it's quick to launch, fast to scroll through and amazing to be used either standalone or dual.
I have friends with both Notes 20 and 10 and they are happy with their phones, but admitted to cannot beat neither the fantastic dual screen (full view) experience, not even dreaming the battery life nor the money I put in my pocket with not going Samsung again.
Heard that Note 10 is turning into an LG really soon...

I have played on a 60hz and 120hz (side by side at a store) phone, and the difference was night and day. After using the 120hz mode, the 60hz mode felt and looked very choppy. 120hz is a must for a high end phone in 2020. If you can't tell the difference, you are either being disingenuous, or have poor vision.
As for LG software, I've been using (and currently am still using) an LG V30 (US998), and they have yet to give me a single update for my phone. I'm still stuck running an OS from launch date. Maybe they've improved, but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from last time.
The only two reasons I'd even consider the V60 is the battery life and the quad DAC. The battery life is excellent, but the quad dac will only really make a difference if you are using high impedance headphones. Average consumer grade headphones (approximately 32ohms or less) will barely benefit from a high end DAC. I have the sennheiser momentum 2.0, and I experience the same phenomena.
As for the dual screens, I suppose that's a cool feature, but it's use is limited for me, because when you get to using screens that large, I will likely just switch to a desktop or laptop.
@@Eckathor You have seen side-by-side 120Hz vs 60Hz, and as I said doing that most will notice diferences between them. So you're right on that.
What I meant saying is that that refresh rate diference doesn't matter for most of the consumers. And, yes, my background is in electronics and technology and I consider myself on that average group, nothing to do with being disingenuous, or having poor vision. Maybe in the future faster rates will be very noticeable, not just yet, or at least not as a big jump as it was having a dual core phone and nowadays an octacore, if you see what I mean.
Well, you have good reasons to be upset with LG's software updates. I've been reading online many people complaining and apparently that's something widespread. I can't confirm that they improved their policy, maybe just got lucky to get right away an update that first owners of the device were waiting for about half a year, right?
I think, that's a shame because for the most part LG products are very well praised by those that bought them. I'm a first time LG phone owner and I'm enchanted! We own one of the first LG SmartTVs (7 years) with the magic remote stick and we love it, but never got any updates on the software and the apps are mostly obsolete (youtube, Smartworld, etc). We use an external box to run all those apps on the TV :) Our other SmartTV, a Samsung (2 years) has been having updates here and there it seems.
Back to the dual screen, well, I'm on the honeymoon phase right now, but I use it all the time for professional reasons and yes there's times that my small laptop is preferable (home), but on the field (or on the road), no smaller tablet performs better than this phone. Talking about size for quickly remove it from pocket, write a handwritten note with the pen or research on one screen and copy and paste a message/email on the other one ready to send and put back the phone safe in pocket.
Surely your V30 would still live up for this kind of routine. The V60 is a huge upgrade to any of my previous Samsungs (too small batteries), with this battery lasting me for 2 days on dual screen use and I can only imagine how much more I'd get on standalone.
@@Eckathor I came from a note 10 plus and tried the note ultra and it sucked . The so-called 120 hz cannot run at full resolution and on the phones where you can force it the battery gets killed. This phone has killer battery life android audio if you are an audiophile granted it's not meridian like in the days past but they quad dac kills and yeah it also supports aptx and aptx for bluetooth audio and that takes it to a whole new level. For under 700 bucks you just can't beat the value proposition imo.

just ordered one used. I owned one for a short time but it must have been a Verizon phone. DID NOT work with Tmobile. The phone I received was 10/10 BRAND NEW!!....with tears I had to return it. Keeping fingers crossed...this one is a TMO PHONE!
really wish LG would think about coming back into cellphone market!. Maybe just specialty? P/e..P/l is important! Knowing you produce the best (for most users) = PRICELESS!!!!. As far as ANDROID.........LG OWNED IT! Samsung is hardcore......but LG always hit them where they missed the market!
Great video featuring a great stand alone phone. My only gripe is not being able to use gestures with Nova launcher so I stuck with the LG's version. Battery life, headphone jack and having LG Pay puts this phone over the top of other phones in the same price range.
Received mine yesterday. Just concerned about low memory warnings so soon. Otherwise, pleased with the phone.

Yeah bought a renewed V60 on Amazon for about 400. They guarantee the battery is over 85 percent and no visible signs of wear. It's a t-mobile tuned phone. My t-mobile store does not even carry them anymore. I plan on getting some good ear buds but holy moly the ones the channel uses cost over 300 bucks. Bet they do sound good. Nothing like good headphone listening however. Like to get back into that.
Video in 8k looks great.. it's funny that you guys stress that you are using it handheld because that's just how good this phone is the optical image stabilization is top of the heap just an awesome phone even now in 2022 I went out and bought another one off eBay because I couldn't find another phone that I like they had all the features this one has at the price it is there's not one to be found like it
