Finally time for some carding

Since it’s been so hot out I FINALLY got a chance to card up some fiber to get ready to do some spinning! It seems like it’s been forever, but this is the perfect time of year to just stay inside and enjoy the AC.
I’m carding up some beautiful white alpaca from our girl Ethel along with some merino and targhee blend roving. It’s a 75/25 split. Just enough to give the alpaca some nice bounce. Both fibers were a little bit VM heavy, but nothing a little picking couldn’t fix.
I’m going to spin this white batt into its own single and then I’m going to spin up this beautiful braid that I got from my trip to @northwestwools into it’s own single (It’s beautiful BFL that comes from Shaggy Bear Farms in Scion, OR) and then I’m going to ply them both together. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out! Give me a follow and stick around to find out.
