You can only use them on weapons that didn't drop as a red border. For Last Wish weapons, they have to be (have dropped) from this season, since they changed the perk pools and technically reintroduced the weapons. And you can't use them on weapons you bought from Hawthorne.

Honestly the deep sight bullcrap should be unnecessary. All weapons should come with the ability to level them and then allow you to reshape it - but adding a system requiring insane amounts of time commitment is something bungie would do…
That system would mean you just need one weapon to then craft your god roll: invalidating random drops and a long term goal (and something to chase). If it was like when deepsights/crafting first came out, I'd understand the frustration. But we have so many ways to guarantee deepsights and dupe protection. Some require a commitment, but it's a guaranteed path.
"A few weeks into the season of the deep and you are probably halfway into the season pass..." Me whos already 125 with all seasonal weapons crafted... Not even 3 seconds into the video and i already feel bad. Putting too much time on this game it seems.
Wehn you sum it up like that, yes it looks bad. But full context, it's more than fine. Deepsight drops are plentiful, several gauranteed/dupe protected ways (as I mentioned), and you don't need to craft every weapon. Additionally, Bungie made these items rare, limited, and a controlled source to test the system. It's better to have something come out working but a little stingy and buff the # up later, than have like 10-20 of these drop a season (or be farmable), then back track and "nerf" it down to 6. Context: This season added 14 new craftable weapons - so you need "70 pattern progress". About 50/50 raid and seasonal weapons and you can have guaranteed 3 a week from guaranteed deepsight (1 from seasonal vendor upgrade, 2 from LW hawthorne). So, from the bare minimum you'll get 36, or over half, by the end of the season if you just login and play for like 1-2 hours a week. You can craft the 7 god rolls of your chosing, by barely playing the game. Factor in those 6 Harmonizers, and that's another weapon. The harmonizer amount (imo) is perfect. Additionally, since these weapons are highly farmable (as mentioned in the video), harmonizers are kinda of a waste on them. They are for hard to obtain weapons or for you to pick something you want if you are VERY unlucky and don't play often.
For what are you referring to? If you provide a specific weapon or example, I can try to provide some rationale or explain the drop rate. (If it's my previous example, those are all guaranteed weekly drops.)
@@Commander_Pika i started playing this game at lightfall launch. it takes me 20 seasons from now to even collect all redborders considering if i am lucky and vendors sell old season weapon. how is it fine? and there is 0 in game way to get it by farming/ playing this game normally. i felt like i was playing bdo when i tried to farm neamona redborders before this season. one of the worst / unfun way to lock redborders. i only like to farm raids for redborder as atleast u have some fun playing. but looking for golden patrols in different instance to have a small chance of getting redborder? common on. u cant defend that. and u can get one old weapon from these harmonizers per season for new players? how can anyone think its fine? i like how so many old players in this game want new players to get fcked coz they farmed those pattern and now they want it to be locked. what a shit way to think.
@@Commander_Pika tbh I’m referring to the neomuna drop rates Dares can be abysmal as well Just finally got all my craftables after grinding for a couple days straight Granted I already had some but I was able to finish up in about 20 hrs plus Neomuna just straight up isn’t worth grinding for Apparently it’s no longer gauranteed to get a weapon from heroics and that’s extremely frustrating Since I have most of the craftables I just decided they’re not worth it at all and since you already pay for harmonizers via battle pass it’s just unrealistic that they don’t sell them in a pack next season I’d love to eat my words but I just don’t believe otherwise personally Which is my main issue. You’re not getting these things for free whatsoever because the player base has already decided that they’re worth money and 6 of them is just buns because the only weapons I don’t have are previous seasonal which I will only be able to get one of per season going forward. It’s just pure trash. At least I’ll finally get a craftable firefight after so long after grinding the whole entire battle pass next season (if nothing changes which honestly I believe it’ll change for the worse because money milking) sure I play too much but as a result 6 harmonizers isn’t doing anything. I really hope they make them farmable somehow even then i don’t think it’d be friendly to my time
Why the F would you ever use this very limited currency to unlock an item that's still available the regular way? Use it to get a fkn calus mini tool, i meant to get the old stasis rocket until cold comfort came in hot. Get stuff from old seasons that's not available anymore, hope that Xur or banshee sells it and buy 5.
I recommended the LF/WQ weapons so you can remove that annoying grind and start playing with those weapons. Hoping to have the vendors sell an old weapon that you missed and use all your harmonizers to fully unlock 1 a season is totally an option (which I agree with and mentioned), but that requires RNG, with no guarantee of them offering them. (From memory and recording, Banshee hasn't sold calus mini-tool yet, or if they did, it was one time near the beginning of LF). Use them on what you want, choice of what you want to chase (what is your god roll weapon) is up to you.
@@Commander_Pika couldn't you just create a new character and replay the story if you wanted the red boarders that bad? Maybe not WQ anymore but LF for sure...
I'm uncertain for that, maybe? But that's not something I'd recommend....fully unlocking all the subclasses and the stasis grind for Beyond Light. That's nothing you should suffer through just to try to quickly craft a few weapons.
It is a very good rocket. If you can't/don't raid often, then sure, by all means. If it is something you desire, go for it. However, if you can at least do Last Wish every so often, you're guarantee to get the pattern if you Complete the "O deepsight mine" quest from Hawthorne and then buying 1 Apex Predator a week (guaranteed to be deepsight).
Depends on what you are using and in what content. Don't really focus on the raw number at first (unless your number is low because you are using like a 1600 weapon in power level enabled content) - focus on just contributing to damage, staying alive, and hitting the majority of your shots. Rockets are good for burst dps and in rotation setups, but for solid, ez, "just point and shoot" DPS, Sleeper Simulant, Leviathan's breath (w/ catalyst), Xenophage, and Thunderlord (w/ catalyst/Actium) are really good.
@@Commander_Pika thank you I have leviantens breath and thunder lord I see most people using rockets that’s why I thought it was the best dps but I’ll try those 2 out and see how it goes
I agree to a certain point. The grind for like the Neomuna weapons are is very tedious; so using Harmonizer values your time. Raid/Seasonal weapons you can grind out, but for people that don't raid often, if there is something you really like and want to craft, then don't have shame in using a harmonizer. For the WQ-era seasonal weapons, if you weren't around for them, then yes use a harmonizer on them. However, like i said, look up what perks are on them to see if it is truely worth it. Plus, no guarantee Xur/Banshee will even sell the one you're looking for. So better to use them on something now, then hoarding and praying. If you have no use for them now, then hoard them and wait for new raid and new weapons.
You can tho. Can't farm for them, but they appear at Banshee and Xur. Banshee's item rotates daily, Xur's weekly. Past couple weeks alone Banshee has sold (numerous times): Austringer, Sailspy Pitchglass, Firefirght, Tarnished Mettle, and Nezarec's Whisper. And most of those have come with god rolls one time or another. Would love for them to make a more "farmable" avenue for these weapons, but Bungie wants you to farm the current weapons (which are very easy to do).
@@liltoriyama3213 If we trust info listed in the api (looking at light.gg - which I take with a grain of salt), it can be sold by Xur only. And that's out of nearly 100 potential weapons. So possibility, but I wouldn't bet on it. All RNG. It's a good pve dps LMG, but lmgs are more suited to addclear, and for those I'd recommend grabbing corrective measure or commemoration (both raid weapons and farmable). Just my 2cents
What are the weapons you'd recommend? Everyone has their own opinions on what they deem worth chasing/crafting, so no shame. My goal was to equip people with information so they can make a good decision. I hope you can understand my rationale tho. Seasonal/Raid weapons are guaranteed a few each week - they (ie Bungie) value regular/habitual weekly play. LF/WQ weapons are pure grind, and with no direct focus and limited sources, could never get what you want. I farmed LF when it came out, didn't finish the HC or Pulse pattern. Farmed for 5 hours the other day (w/ change to Heroic PE, VIP patrols, rep, etc): out of like 10+ drops, only 1 HC and 1 Pulse, and neither were deepsight. So to value time, I stand by saying use them on LF/WQ weapons. Yes, all (except WQ-era seasonal weapons) are farmable, so if you want, you could grind them out. But when trying to value people's time, expectations, and loot gains, I don't really see it. I should have reiterated more the sentiment that "If there is something YOU want to chase, craft it, use it on them, don't feel bad". If it's for the WQ-era seasonal weapons, I get it, since some of them are GREAT and it's currently the only way to craft them. But also, it's PURE CHANCE if Xur/Banshee sell them. Could be weeks, months, never happen, or it could be tomorrow but you weren't around/didn't check. I will have an update video breaking down deepsight acquisitions in the next week or so to hopefully better explain this rationale so people can see the other sides to crafting, weapon acquisition, and choice.

Neomuna just straight up isn’t worth grinding for
Apparently it’s no longer gauranteed to get a weapon from heroics and that’s extremely frustrating
Since I have most of the craftables I just decided they’re not worth it at all and since you already pay for harmonizers via battle pass it’s just unrealistic that they don’t sell them in a pack next season
I’d love to eat my words but I just don’t believe otherwise personally
Which is my main issue.
Is it worth it for apex predator?
It is a very good rocket. If you can't/don't raid often, then sure, by all means. If it is something you desire, go for it. However, if you can at least do Last Wish every so often, you're guarantee to get the pattern if you Complete the "O deepsight mine" quest from Hawthorne and then buying 1 Apex Predator a week (guaranteed to be deepsight).
@@Commander_Pika thank you. I’m trying to figure out how to do more damage I’m 1825 but can only hit 1.4mil on bosses idk what I’m doing wrong
Should be able to hold 5 at a time since you only get 5 from a season anyway. Bs
you get 6, not 5.
They should used as blackout pattern 1x complete not 5x… holds only 1x Calus mini tool it’s not dropping or selling season 20+ Bungie totally lying
Please dont use the ciphers on farmable weapon it is a huge waste just grind them out
I agree to a certain point.
Too bad it’s utterly useless to grab patterns of weapons pre-Lightfall since you can’t even obtain season 16-19 weapons
@@Commander_Pikaokay so do u will think they will sell the lmg, he has only sold the disparity from tht season
Nah I’m using them on raid weapons
Hehe, season rank 69
Using a harmonizer on any neomuna weapon is a big mistake. There are multiple better options for every weaopon.
Iterative loop, round robin, and phyllocactic spiral are all elite weapons
uh what? 🥴
Never use it on them weapons one of the dumbest things I have heard absolute waste
